We get our propane and rent a tank from Owens Energy for our place in Show Low. We use Owen's…read moreEnergy because the people we bought the place from used them and already had the tank in place. The company does a good job being there when you need propane. We only use propane for hot water heater and clothes dryer so we don't use a lot. But it's nice to know they will be there when you need them. There was only one bit of confusion when they thought we needed propane after a phone call but we caught the delivery person before we got too much extra. I definitely recommend Owens Energy and will continue to use them.

We feel Stratton Electric took advantage of us. We called for them to come out for the annual…read moretune-up of our generator. The first repair person said he didn't have a manual but hoped he had set everything correctly. It was working before he touched it, then it wasn't working. Stratton sent out 2 more repair people, and it was decided the control panel was burned out. We know it was not burned out when the first person came out because it was working perfectly. Stratton then charged us $435 for another trip charge to diagnose the problem, then another $1232 to replace the control panel. Phil told us that he would come up with a fair solution. He "magnanimously" reduced the trip charge by $285. We had no choice but to have them replace the part, since my husband is a disabled veteran on oxygen. We ended up paying $500 for the tune-up and $1373 for the repair. The most ridiculous and insulting part was Dawn Stratton acting indignant that we think they did something to our generator. Picture taking your perfectly running car into the shop for a tune-up. When you come back it's not running, but they deny all responsibility and want to charge you $1373 to diagnose and repair what they did to it. I bet the Strattons wouldn't accept that. We will not be using them in the future.

Excellent Service And Advice and Good Prices!…read more I have been shopping with Larry and Daryl at alternative energy for a couple of years now. They have always been very friendly with me and giving me good advice on my projects. I now have a house that is completely off the grid that uses solar and wind mill to make all of its power. They have a good selection of products for such a remote location in a rule area. They're not afraid to order whatever else you need as well if there something they do not have. They have always been more than fair with me on pricing. I strongly recommend this local business to anyone looking to make their house off grid, or even just make some solar energy to offset your electrical costs. Stop in and tell them I sent you. PS: they also have great prices on Ocean containers too!
