We get our propane and rent a tank from Owens Energy for our place in Show Low. We use Owen's Energy because the people we bought the place from used them and already had the tank in place. The company does a good job being there when you need propane. We only use propane for hot water heater and clothes dryer so we don't use a lot. But it's nice to know they will be there when you need them. There was only one bit of confusion when they thought we needed propane after a phone call but we caught the delivery person before we got too much extra. I definitely recommend Owens Energy and will continue to use them. read more

I rarely write about a business that I am dissatisfied with but my experience with Owens Energy on Deuce of Clubs in Show Low, Az was awful and very stressful. Back in July 2022 I ordered and prepaid for a 500 gallon refurbished propane tank for my home and I paid for 400 gallons of propane. My new home wasn't ready until mid December so Owens couldn't deliver my tank until Jan 5, 2023. They came with a tank but the delivery driver delivered a new 500 gallon tank instead of the refurbished tank I bought. Instead of taking care of this mistake that day and exchanging the new one for the refurbished tank that I bought Dillon put it off until 5 days later. And I didn't get my propane for another 3 days after that. I had told Dillon weeks before that I needed the tank to be delivered by Thursday the 5th because the following Monday I had drywall contractors coming to repair my drywall. He knew how important it was for me to have my propane tank and gas because it is winter and we are experiencing freezing temps, the drywall mud won't dry properly and it will fall off the walls if the room temps aren't at least 60 degrees and above. Well, without going into too much detail, when the delivery driver finally came to exchange the tanks he also changed out the orifices on the water heater, he messed it up so the pilot light wouldn't stay on long enough to light the burner, I had to call a plumber out to fix it, Dillon said he wouldn't take responsibility for it and even said, "theirs not paperwork that my deliveryman even worked on your water heater", just after he got done telling me that his worker said that he couldn't get it to light. Unbelievable!! On top of that Dillon wouldn't pay for my expenses from the area heaters I had to buy so my Contractor could work and for the plumber I had to hire to fix the water heater, and he charged me the installation fee 3 times more than normal. I paid $822.00, which at the time of my ordering the tank and propane I was told that It would cost $500. I will NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH OWENS PROPANE AGAIN!! read more

We were camping in the Show Low area and had a leak in two of our feed lines. Looked all over the area to find new lines and reasonable price to refill our propane tanks. I either couldn't find replacement feed lines or had some cobbled-up mess that would have cost over $80 per line. I had never heard of Owens Energy before and just happened to drive by and saw their sign. Stopped in and could see the locals know where to go to get propane. They not only had propane for $1.80 less than the cheapest place in Show Low but had premade feed lines exactly what I needed for $18 each (bought four of them for the just-in-case scenario). I asked them for some of their business cards so I could give them to others in the campground because they are very friendly and can't beat their fair prices. Owens is a very knowledgable friendly location. and I highly recomend doing business with them for your propane needs. Travelling through town in our RV and we stopped at another propane location and had some issues. They overfilled our tank and we noticed we had a leak. After receiving no help from the other companys supplier we were reffered to Owens. They helped us drain our tanks and replace the rubber seal that was causing the leak. Find another propane company!!! The first time they didn't show up ok, a mistake, right. The second time middle of winter, good bye I don't want to do business with a totally unreliable company. Also, almost 50 cents higher than the competitor..... the 1 receptionist is completely rude like your bothering her to do her job. This is a very pleasant place to fill your propane tanks and their price is fair. I have difficulty carrying the tanks due to severe shoulder injuries and the employees never hesitate to lift them for me. The location is convenient and the price per gallon is reasonable.
