I have been going to KB Nails for many years. As of today I will never return. I went in & asked for my usual pedicure, French with a dragonfly. I got the French part & was then told I was done, I said no I wanted the dragonfly, I was told I Didn't ask for it & it was to late to fix it as they had put the top coat on. When I told Julie, ( the owner), that I was not satisfied she said that's to bad it isn't her problem. I came into this place to get my nails done. I had acrylic nails and the man told me he had to remove them completely because they were powder, they didnt do powder nails (which is crazy! Pretty much told me it was too much work for good quality and they didnt want to do that much work), and it would be better. Instead of soaking the nail, they were forcibly removed. And the color from before wasnt removed, so you can see the powder color from my previous set. After 7 days, every single nail is lifting and i have bubbles in the gel. Never in my life have ALL of my nails lifted, let alone after 7 days. Very poor work and would not recommend to anyone! read more

My toes are so cute! They have these gel polishes that gave me a nice bright white color! Last time I got gels from another salon it came off same day but they are still holing up and filed just the way I like! Brian does an amazing job on my acrylic nails every time. He is meticulous and takes his time to insure you are happy with the work. Julie is also wonderful although she has yet to do my nails, but is always there and very friendly. Brian has had to fix poor jobs done at other salons in the area when I've attempted going elsewhere. I don't go anywhere else anymore. I was thrilled with my first, new set with them. I went for my fill, expecting to pay $20 plus tip, and they charged me $30, saying it was for my own file, etc. to bring back each time. I wasn't happy, but OK. Today, was my second fill, and somehow they ended up charging me $40!!! In hindsight, I realized they asked me where my car was the minute they saw me. You see, I was in my husband's Lexus at the first fill, but not today. I called them out on it. I won't be back. KB Nails has been my stalwart nail salon since moving to the area a few years ago. Now, I'm not one of those nail bunnies who has to have her acrylics reinstalled biweekly...I'm an every-once-in-awhile pedi patron during the chilly half of the year and monthly patron during open toed shoe season, plus manis/pedis for vacation. (Just makes it feel more vacation-y, right?) The salon is clean. They take care to disinfect & use clean instruments, like nail brushes, when they are shared. The salon has several spa pedi booths to accommodate several people at a time. They have only denied me once when I have walked in, when I went to a nearby nail salon that was extremely busy but not as clean and the technicians were a little abrasive. This husband & wife team and their other technicians have all been great. If anything, my only complaint would be they don't have a great variety of colors (unless you prefer either the standards or something to make a huge statement.) The only time I have had gels done was in January before my vacation. They mentioned they would last longer, so I had a French manicure done. The gels seriously lasted a month and I had to have the tech take them off for me - I was still getting compliments on them even though they were all grown out and my nail beds were starting to show through. One other thing, I brought my own polish in to have them repaint my toenails when their green color was bothering me - the tech charged $15 to repaint. Being from the city, I have never seen a charge that high at a comparable salon anywhere. It didn't sit well with me, but now I know. Overall, I would highly recommend this salon. If you are picky about your color, you may want to bring one of your own as back up to avoid disappointment if you don't find a color you want. read more

The staff is extremely nice and friendly! However, that being said it was difficult to get what I wanted done with my nails. Both with toenails and fingernails. I wanted a purple color with a design on my toes and they said it wasn't possible because the polishes didn't match. With my nails, I wanted a pastel green and white gel design and they argued with me about not being able to do it because they couldn't put two gels together. Quite frustrating! read more

I get my nails done at KB nails every 2 weeks. I always get Shellac with crystalls on the ring fingers. I am very picky about getting burned or cut, and also about how my nails look. The Shellac stays on, and so do the Crystals. They are careful about taking the polish off and do not burn me. They have a large variety of Shellac polishes, and do a fantastic job. My technician is slow, but I prefer that over getting burned by the drill when they remove the polish an shape the nails. I am very pleased with KB Nails. GREAT JOB. read more

So, if you want the worst nail fill ever, go to KB Nails. I had been there only once before. It is close to where I live. I was a walk in tonight and got stuck with a man who did not introduce himself, barely spoke and had spent minimal time on my nails. I had the impending doom feeling come over me. When I told him he had made the white tips too fat, he told me twice, you are supposed to tell me. We charge by the nail for this. I just nodded and told him I wouldn't be back. Felt extremely rushed. Both my daughter and I were not happy with the end results. Pedicure was fast and not relaxing. Hardly any massage Daughter got gel and it was messy all over her skin and cuticles. I was getting pink and white fill he only did pink. When I went to pay he requested tip be in cash. People have to understand they are not entitled to a TIP. I usually tip extremely well when I receive good service. The place was clean though. read more

This was not the worst pedicureive gotten but the quality was poor and the experience was not excellent. I did not get my cuticles removed, nails filed or buffed. No top coat. Then i was advised to walk across the salon with no shoes to a drying area. Gross. I did appreciate they had me buy a new file and buffer, i do wish she would have used them. $27, was a little high for this visit. What i recieved was worth about $15. I totally would have paid for the throw away slips to avoid walking across the cold dirty floor barefoot, but they didn't have any... weird. I went across the parking lot to Fred Meyer and bought a top coat and applied it. Im store that will extend the polish life. read more

Just moved to Medford and found Kb Nails. I asked for an old-fashioned straight-up manicure, I had already selected a color. Sat down and manicurist came over with a different bottle saying "You like!" I was confused I thought she was merely suggesting a different color. She didn't address the shape of my nails but jumped right into filing and roughening up the surface. Holy cow, this is not a traditional manicure. By the time I realized what was happening she was done and surprise, surprise they looked like a hot mess. She than set about instructing me that I should not attempt to remove the polish. Two days later went to professional that was well versed in how to get the polish off, which she did to the best of her ability. I figure I have about six months to grow my nails back to their healthy beautiful selves. Proves destruction can happen in the blink of an eye. My friend and I went here to get gel French tips done and I have mixed reviews. My nails turned out great and I am happy with them but my friends nails turned out quite sad. They were crooked, way too short and very uneven. Also when we paid for our nails separately, they charged us each a different price that was also different than what the pricing showed on the board up front. So I'd say, hit or miss. I wanted to like it but the consistency isn't quite there yet. I may go back, but really not sure yet. I suppose it depends on who is working. read more

I personally do not like this practice, but this is not uncommon in the pedicure business as I have been asked this at other places too. I've been coming here for years and am always satisfied. I love the creative designs and the quality of work by both Julie and Brian. I've never had a problem with lifting, breaking, or chipping when I have Acrylics put on. When I decided to go back to my natural nails, KB really helped to get them long and strong again. Oh, and they do a great job of waxing. I was really surprised to read Patti P's review, because I don't know anyone who wouldn't agree, Julie would bend over backwards to right a wrong. I have always gone to KB nails and loved it! They are fast they do good work and they are nice but the last time i went it was aweful! they did nothing to my cuticles making my nails look poorly done and old and they started falling off in days. I'm not sure what happened on this trip because they always did such a great job before but it made me scared to ever go back. Went in for pedicure and while it was not bad it wasn't really that good either. Was one of the first two customers of the day so they weren't busy. While the woman was personable the usually included lower leg/foot massage was pretty much non existent and the whole service took less than a half hour....for the cost pd vs the level of service rendered, I would not return read more

Worst pedicure I've ever gotten! They did zero callous removal and I got a french tip that is different lengths and widths on each toe. And, I changed my pants less than an hour after I got them done and the polish was already peeling off! Will definitely not be back! read more
