Juan and his team are wonderful and I would recommend them to anyone. Juan was my main point of contact and he was always responsive, communicative, and friendly. Over the course of a 1.5 week project, I would hear the crew chatting with each other and it seemed like they enjoy working together too. I reached out to about 10 contractors for quotes and Juan's bid was in the mid-range. From the first walk-through, he was knowledgable and asked questions to help me understand what my options are. Unlike some others, he was never pushy and that made me feel more comfortable about working together going forward. He estimated that the entire project (leveling the backyard, building a short wall, French drain, and adding gravel) would take 2 weeks and they finished ahead of schedule. I am so happy to finally have a usable, outdoor space! If I ever want to do more with the hill, I will use KB Landscape for sure. read more

Juan and his crew landscaped our backyard and installed a new front lawn after we got our pool removed. We were working with a landscape architect who provided the designs. The crew installed all the plants, decomposed granite, and irrigation perfectly. Our architect also commented that she really liked the crew and that Juan in particular was very knowledgeable. Not to mention Juan is just a really nice guy and was open to the small changes we had to make as we were doing installation. In total it took three weeks to complete the entire project. His crew was great and Juan also works with them, he doesn't just only project manage. He was here all day nearly every day with the crew. It's a small company but they do great work, pay attention to detail like grading, and clean up after themselves every day. They did such a good job, after he finished we asked him to help redo a fence later as well and also continue to come biweekly to maintain the yard. read more

Juan and his crew worked with us this year to bring our front and back yard to life, and now maintain the beautiful work they did for us. We couldn't be happier we went with KB. He and the crew were all very easy to work with, always patient with questions and keeping us up to date on plans and timelines. Any time we had small change requests he was very accommodating. Absolutely recommending KB if you have a vision you'd like to bring to life for your home. read more

I would like to shout out to Juan and his crew. They are incredibly awesome! A little over a year ago, we decided to redo our backyard with a completely new layout design including paver works, removing the roots, gravel and garden bed. We of course requested several quotes for this and basically contacted most of the landscaping vendors in the peninsula that have a high rating on Yelp. Juan was one of them and we ended up choosing Juan's team not only because of his professional knowledge in plants, his clear and very genuine communication skills and of course the reasonable cost and fast timeline but also his very valuable suggestions on how to make the backyard design more beautiful, more sustainable and more cost-effective. Clearly, he is standing with the customer and offering much more than he needed to. We really like our new backyard after it's done. And because of this successful experience and the trust we built, we recently moved out of Bay Area temporarily and asked Juan to help maintain our backyard periodically. I highly recommend Juan and his team! read more

Juan did a great job for my front and backyards, transforming them eyesores to showpieces. In 2017, he installed sod, landscaping, and irrigation in my front yard. We brought a design to him and he found plants that perfectly matched what we were after. We continued to use his services for gardening maintenance once the job was finished. Then in 2020, we upgraded our backyard with artificial turf and concrete pavers. He also added irrigation and trimmed an overgrown tree in the yard. We worked together on a design based on examples that he provided. His work is top notch and reasonably priced. However, I must say there were a few times when he didn't call or show up after we had agreed to meet. In any case, I would highly recommend him and his crew! read more

Juan was highly recommended to me. I called him to request for a free estimate and immediately got a response. As soon as we agreed on the project, they started immediately. Very good work and professional attitude. They also worked fast. I also appreciated the fact that Juan was very easy to talk to and not to mention, generous! I definitely recommend KB Landscape. Called Juan on Sept 28th, based on his positive Yelp reviews. He responded right away and came over the next day. However, it's now October 5th and it's been crickets! No contact, no bid, no answering his phone, no return calls and no reply to my texts. So rude!! The good new is, I received four other bids and found an awesome company to do my job! Avoid! read more

We started working with Juan after we moved into our house and our backyard was nothing but waste high weeds. He demolished old concrete being used as part of a drying line, built us beautiful planter boxes, and installed grass. Our backyard went from hot mess to beautiful and functional. We have continued to use his services for bimonthly gardening upkeep. With SIP, we decided to finish off our backyard by replacing the ancient concrete patio and pergola. He helped us pick pavers and build a beautiful pergola per our customizations (we wanted a bar attached). Juan's crew is friendly and professional. I always enjoyed seeing them and interacting with them. We are extremely happy with Juan's work. read more

Juan and his team did an amazing job cleaning out my backyard. My backyard before was a huge mess and Juan's team was able to trim down all the tall trees and clean out the yard in less than 2 days - talk about efficiency =) I will certainly be keeping Juan in my contacts list. Job well done! read more

Juan and his crew did a good job with the artificial turf, very happy with the communication and the work they've done.

Juan and his team are super reliable and meticulous. I had a clear vision for a new aesthetic for my fence and porch refacing and it turned out even better than I had pictured. The work was done in a timely manner, at a fair price. There were zero quality issues or unforeseen hiccups. I'd highly recommend them for any future landscaping project. read more

Loved working with Juan anchos crew, had a terrible front lawn that I had replaced sod 3 times with no success and just wanted a low maintenance front lawn to come home to after a long day. This crew was amazing, loved the artificial grass and desert plants. They installed a sprinkler system and it's been a dream. Will definitely use them again for future project. I needed to have an old deck and overhang removed and pavers installed as I was Re-doing my back yard. I got several quotes and I was impressed with Juan's promptness in scheduling time to look at the job. The job initially was to remove deck and overhang but quickly included a new lawn and then I had my side yard (which had pavement that was buckling due to tree roots) done also. Excellent work and the patio turned out beautifully. His pricing was very reasonable and he was flexible with my plans- which changed a few times. Definitely would give a high recommendation to KB Landscape! read more

I was looking to have some work done for my backyard and Juan was really great in coming by and giving us a quote. Not only was his quote very reasonable, but he was very responsive over text. I had to get the job done before Juan could start it, but for any future jobs I would consider going to Juan first. read more

I initially contacted KB Landscape to provide a competetive quote for a concrete pad, and Juan was able to come out and provide a highly competetive quote the same day I contacted them. Not only did they arrive on time, but they were very efficient and professional. When I mentioned that I was going to need to construct a short sound-proofing wall, he offered to do that as well for a very reasonable price. The wall turned out to not only meet our needs, but it looked far more beautiful than I expected. After the work was completed, Juan suggested relacing our brick with pavers to provide a more cohesive look and feel. I wasn't ready to do that at the time, but after a short time my wife expressed concern about the inconsistency of the yard. I contaced Juan and he gave me a very reasonable price to do the Job. I simply couldn't say no. They did a fabulous job. The crew was professional, always arrived on time, and cleaned up before they left. Our yard was literally transformed by Juan and his crew, and I can't thank them enough. read more

Juan and his team redid our patio with installation of pavers, flower beds, sprinkler system, replace fence etc. The work was well done with the exception of the fence where there are gaps we didn't notice (our bad). They were professional, timely, polite and very friendly. The work was done around end of June early July. No complaints. However, .... Juan promised us that he would stop by 2 or 3 months later to check on the plants and the drip irrigation system to make sure the plants are doing well and adjust the system if necessary. We think we have a problem with the Japanese maple ( the leaves are brown and don't look healthy). We messaged him around mid October asking him to stop by sometime to check the maple tree. Sorry to say he hasn't stopped by nor has he responded to our message. read more

This is long overdue, but considering the holiday season, my delayed review is understandable. My project, which started as just a walkway upgrade (pavers) turned into something too much for me to handle. I looked around on Yelp and other local sites for suggestions. I had probably 4 or 5 businesses return my call. The other companies either didn't return my call, or took too long to respond. Not only was KB Landscape (Juan) the first to respond, but he showed up immediately to give an estimate. I like it when a business shows how important you are to them as a customer by making you feel like you're their priority. Juan was great to talk to. He listened to what I wanted, gave suggestions, and gave an honest, and very fair quote. So fair, in fact, that I decided to have my driveway done at the same time! Juan and his crew moved quick, removing all of the concrete and dirt into a debris box and then hauling it away. The process took about two weeks, which is to be expected. When completed, my wife and I were so happy. Everything turned out better than we could have imagined. I have already recommended KB Landscape to my family and friends, but I wanted to do one better by writing a review as well as to put out a good word for KB Landscape. If anyone has any questions, feel free to inbox me. I'd be happy to answer any questions in regards to the quality work and professionalism of Juan and his crew. Photos to follow... read more

Juan and his team did a great job re-landscaping our yard. They installed a lawn, a patio and did other work. Juan was easy to work with and his crew was professional and friendly. Juan is really good. He knows his work very well. We were looking for someone who could help us with landscaping our backyard and frontyard and also suggest us the correct plants which could go in shade vs sun. We had couple of ideas but we weren't sure how they will fit in our backyard and frontyard and we had a certain budget. Juan and his team did a good job in completing the work fast and cleanly. We didn't have any issues with them. Juan came with us to select plants and gave us ideas during his work. read more

KB Landscape did a great job on our Backyard Project as we spent more time at home due to the pandemic! Juan and his crew completed a two terrace wall in our hilly backyard, added irrigation pipes, put in new soil as well as replaced our railroad tie steps to our upper patio that was ~ 20 years old and falling apart. Juan was very quick to give us a very competitive quote...his demeanor was kind and non-pushy...and once we made a decision to go with him, he was very swift in responding to our questions via text. Though the project took longer than expected due to pandemic related delays, we were equally in no particular rush. We were especially impressed when Juan had his crew redo a few of the railroad tie steps to put in an extra step for better ease of climbing (without our asking for it). That showed a very conscientious nature of someone who has pride in their job and in doing very high quality work (especially when we often see people take short cuts and do inferior work). For that, we would give an extra star! The two terraced walls were also well done and the curvature of the design and color scheme turned out just as we had envisioned it. Since the completion of the project, we were able to place some fresh tanbark, plant a few plants and decorate it with solar lights, autumnal haystacks and pumpkins. We look forward to decorating it seasonally! In the spring, we plan to call Juan to help us select and plant flowers and fruit trees for a more robust garden! read more

Juan and his crews are the best and nicest people I have ever interacted with as a service vendor. He is always on time, has great pricing and does excellent work. I wish that everyone that we ever hired was this good. He also has refinished our deck, built fences, trimmed trees for us... all exceptional work/rates. Thank you! read more

I do not write many reviews but the work that Juan did with our backyard was nothing short of amazing. At the early stages in this project Juan came to look at the job and gave one of the most competitive quotes. We had a hard deadline the project needed to be completed by and not only did he deliver but he had his crew at the house working late and through the weekend to get it done. Also throughout the project there were many additional requests that I had asked and in my previous experience these additional requests always came with additional cost - this was not the case with KB landscape. He did all the extra work within the quoted budget. Juan was extremely professional throughout the whole job. In short you will not be disappointed with this company and the work ethic Juan brings to the project!! read more

Juan and his crew just completed a big project for our new home in San Bruno. They did an amazing job transforming our front yard (new lawn area, watering system, driveway ramp and pavers), side yard (pavers and concrete stairs), and the most dramatic change in our back yard (removing concrete and trees, new fence, flagstones, plants, watering system, terracing other side yard). Our exterior spaces are so beautiful, we can't wait to entertain guests and show off the landscaping! We had a few other quotes but felt most comfortable with Juan - he and his crew were gracious, respectful, clean, affordable, and responsive. We highly recommend him! In fact, we're planning to have him come out regularly to maintain our amazing yards. You will not regret hiring him. read more

Our backyard is covered with wild plants, we wanted to remove them, build a paver road and also elevated planter bed. We contacted a few companies / contractors and went with Juan. Juan and his group was able to come over to check out our backyard and provided a competitive quote with nice designs immediately. We were short in time for this project, but they were able to finish everything within a week with high quality. Besides, Juan is always available and also nice to discuss with us on project details. Juan is an absolute pleasure to work with. We've had him come back to install pavers, a new lawn, and a fire pit and he's always been able to take our vague ideas about what we want and turn it into beautiful landscaping. So grateful to have found KB Landscape to do the work for my latest project! After multiple interviews/estimates, KB Landscape was fair and honest. During the process, Juan was patient, helped me with ideas, worked within my budget and did what he said he would do! We have received multiple compliments on the work and I will definitely call on Juan/KB for additional jobs! read more

KB landscape was a dream to work with. We hired them for our backyard hardscape, softscape and carpentry for outdoor furniture, and they did a fantastic job overall. Additionally he is very easy to reach and has provided excellent customer service overall. It has been 1 year since the work and we are really enjoying our yard! read more

We have a typical rectangular yard in the Sunset district of SF that badly needed landscaping. We hired KB Landscape to remove a large expanse of old cement as well as a short brick wall. Juan and his crew laboriously cracked and hauled out all the old cement, prepared new planting areas for drought tolerant plants surrounded by a river rock mulch, a large area for artificial turf rimmed with pavers, and another area for new concrete. He also constructed 3 very sturdy redwood planter boxes, a trellis for a climbing jasmine, and installed new irrigation for all the plants in the yard. Juan had some great landscaping ideas and definitely knows his plants. His primary goal is client satisfaction, and he always went the extra mile to ensure that we were pleased with the outcome. He is accessible by phone, email, and also text message which I found to be extremely convenient. We found it very easy to work with Juan and his crew--they are professional, reliable, and his prices are very reasonable too. We highly recommend KB Landscape--they did a wonderful job, and we couldn't be happier with the results! read more
