Rafael and his team have maintained our front and back yard weekly for about a year and recently when we needed to replace our grass due to gophers, we didn't question using anyone else for the work. He worked with us to make sure the design made sense and was within our budget while maintaining our step stones - one of my favorite parts of the yard. What was previously moss, weeds, and more recently gopher holes is now beautifully a maintained lawn. I had work done to our front and backyard. Through the whole process Rafeal and his team were amazing. We have done two separate jobs with him so far. The first was to the front of the house where they put in a sprinkler system, sod, and rock, along with some much needed gopher wire. The second was about a year later to the back of the house. Here they installed faux grass golden granite composite, gopher wire, and also added to our retaining wall. They did an excellent job clearing and leveling, no detail was missed. Also you can see from the pictures how nice it came out and how well they matched to the existing retaining wall. I wouldn't hesitate to use them in the future! read more

It's hard to believe, Rafael has worked for me for almost 15 years. He has worked for many of my clients and even my mother. As many people know, referring someone to one's own mother is a Big deal! His team managed my personal garden in several of my own homes and does an awesome job Rafael (RLS) is creative and can come up with designs and sometimes will alter an original idea just a bit because he knows better. I trust him and his crew to come up with the right solution. Landscaping a yard is never cheap but RLS is extremely reasonably priced when the rubber meats the road. He gets the job done and the price is extremely reasonable. If you want the cheapest price you get the cheapest job done. Rafael isn't the least expensive and he should not be. He does quality work. He has also managed client's properties, installed gardens, lawns, sprinkler systems, designed gardens and sometimes has had to say to a client, "you could spend less money, for a better look." That is because he is creative. Don't expect a whiz bang high tech drawing and a high tech billing system. I like someone who can think on their feet. Whip out a piece of paper and do a drawing. That really tells me that he thinks things through and he works one on one, very intimately with you, the client. A simple spreadsheet outlining the bill. That's all I need to send out the check. We found Rafael on Yelp and are really pleased with our results. He and his team completed our project quickly, were easy to schedule with, and Rafael was confident about how to accomplish our goals. The project included (1) general maintenance and clean-up after several months of neglect by the sellers of our house and by us after moving in, (2) evaluation of the existing irrigation systems to cap off some sprinklers/drips that were no longer needed and to identify any other issues that needed to be fixed, and (3) replacing mulch with gravel everywhere. Total project time from the first consult to the completion of the project was about three weeks, and the work itself only took a couple of days.
