Especially after a rainy winter, our yard looks like a jungle. So there is a lot to do to get everything cut, cleaned up and ready for spring. I am super happy with what Jose and his team does. They are always punctual, and really go above and beyond leaving our yard all taken care of. From trimming trees to weeding flowerbeds to checking the irrigation system and even removing some dead trees, they are doing a terrific job! They are also amazing about cleaning up everything after they are done! It's so clean, I always wish I could keep it that clean throughout the year :). Yes, JDH might be more expensive than other services. I get that. But sometimes, the peace of mind knowing things are done well is worth the money in my book. As with many businesses, as they grow in demand and size, their business practices change. We've run into some issues with leaks or sprinkling systems not turning on shortly after having a major re-landscaping project done and found it took repeated inquiries to get responses. Most recently, we were told we would need to approve a flat fee plus additional hourly charges for work beyond the first hour to have someone stop by to get our sprinkling system to turn on. While I can understand charging for any work that may need to be done. However, for the years of business we've provided, I would expect a courtesy visit to at least determine the solution and whether significant work and associated charges are appropriate.

He took the time to explain that the stone is naturally layered and that some surface flaking over time is normal. After showing me the underlying layer, it was clear the stone itself was solid and that no repair was actually needed.
