Good fresh sushi and my favourite which is why I'm giving it 5 stars is that they have delicious Japanese desserts sooooo good! I go here just for dessert sometimes! But their platters are excellent as well. They have always been really fresh and they make good light tempura as well. I've never been unhappy with a meal here, they have a nice atmosphere for dine in and do take out as well. The only reason I haven't been back for awhile is that they closed for dine in during Covid and I missed the entire experience of dining there. They are friendly and polite, the service is 5 stars and the decor is tasteful and interesting with local photography featured and antique touches making it a special dining experience that is also family run! I'm working in Enderby for the next two weeks and being from Southern California, I wanted some place for lunch and/or dinner. There are a couple of cafes on the main drag through town and a couple of places on the main highway that runs perpendicular to that. I settled for a place that specialized in seafood and was disappointed with their specialty, fish and chips. I'll give them another chance before I review them After that meal, I decided to search Enderby again and found the two cafes and a pizza place on the main drag but closed for lunch at 2:00pm and reopened later. Searching the next street over I found Kaze. It also closed at 2pm but reopened at 5pm which is quite common for Japanese restaurants so they can prep. What I found at Kaze was authentic Japanese food presented by a sweet Japanese lady and prepared and cooked by a Japanese chef. I started off with tofu that they usually prepared fried with grated ginger and chopped green onions on top. I asked that they not fry it but dress it as is and it was really to my liking. I then had a assortment of sushi- tuna, salmon, toro, ebi (shrimp) They were fresh and nice servings. They have a website which describes the rest of the menu. One special that is not listed and available only until the end of August was a cold udon (noodle) soup dish which I want to try on these hot summer days. I liked Kaze so much that I will either eat lunch or dinner each day there for the next two weeks. The prices were very reasonable and service was fast but that may be because I was the only one in there when it opened at 5pm. I'll reevaluate when I return and its busier. read more

This is an authentic japanese restaurant located in Enderby off the main highway in an old war time house, atmosphere is quaint and service and food are alway what you expect from this local establishment and in a good Japanese restaurant. We always start with the vegetable tempura and it is 7 pieces of large mixed veggies. I have the Chicken Don buri every time which is basically chicken teriyaki bowl with a side of soup. Just enough to fill you up. I give the soup to my husband I don't care for the taste but he says it is what it should be. Bruce my husband is the true sushi lover, he always has an assortment picked off the separate order sheet it looks to be salmon and tuna with a few cone rolled California rolls he says it is comparable to any other good sushi he has had in Canada or the US. We are regulars and see other people we know from Salmon Arm and surrounding Shuswap areas in there quite often. We will return again and again ! They do take out and it is often few people in there so always room for us I wish they had more business because they are really deserving of it! read more

We finally tried the sushi in Enderby after hearing and reading good things, and we were not disappointed! The sushi was great, and definitely comparable to some great sushi I have had in the past. We had zero complaints about the food. Very well prepared, fresh, delicious, beautifully presented. The only unfortunate thing is the restaurant was quite busy with takeout orders and we waited over an hour for our food. To be fair, when we arrived, the waitress gave us the heads up that we would be waiting approx. an hour for our food, which we were fine with and hoped that it might come sooner. It appears they have one waitress (assuming the wife) who was running around trying to keep everything going and address both restaurant customers and take-out customers. I feel they need more staff as she was extremely busy and seemed spread very thin. Great sushi, it was worth the wait, just make sure you're not in a hurry! read more

Some of the best sushi in the Okanagan. Seriously not what I would expect to find in Enderby and was even reluctant about trying it. Sushi is on point, fresh, well made, delicious. I have made it a weekly stop. Check out their Facebook page they have a daily deal with good savings. read more
