Boston-spicy tuna

Sushi in Revelstoke?! Hmmm, this could be a good or bad decision! But I as so happy that we decided to make reservations here. Their sashimi was perfectly cut and fresh. They did not have ahi, only albacore, but they did have toro! Yes, please! Their rolls are reasonably priced for the size. Their house rolls are cheaper because they are only stuffed inside, the other rolls are more expensive because they are stuffed as well was topped with extra stuff. We came here in a Saturday night, so that probably affected the wait time for food. But the wait time for food would be my only complaint with this place and the food quality and taste certainly made up for it. I highly recommend eating here and I will definitely be back.

Surprise birthday sushi gift

Top-notch sushi service is 10/10. I love everything about this place; dine-in, dine-in, take-out can't get enough. I love the rolls, sashimi, appetizers, and don't forget dessert!!!

It was surprisingly good. I don't mean it in a negative way, but someone at the Ramada down the road recommended this place and said it was the best Japanese food he's had. Revelstoke is landlocked, and being from the West Coast, we've had our share of good Japanese food. But to our surprise, the food was very good and the service even better. We didn't make a reservation and just walked up. They had a table available for about an hour before their reservation showed up, so we took it. The waiters and waitresses were very friendly, accommodating, and patient with our vegetarian orders. My kids really enjoyed the food, and they actually requested to go back tomorrow. Unfortunately, we're only here for the night.

Their lunch specials are out of this world. Kelly (if I remember correct) was a 5 star waitstaff! If you like sushi and are looking for a place to grab lunch or dinner you've just found your spot!

This is the best sushi in Revelstoke. And it's great sushi in general. High quality fish and rice. The rolls are crafted with care. Food is presented artfully and at the correct temperature. Just be warned that the food is a bit pricey compared with Vancouver - our total bill is about 30% higher than what we'd normally spend on sushi in Vancouver. This is due to charging for tea ($5 for a large pot), and a higher price for most items (ie. $3.50 for miso soup vs. $1.50 in Vancouver). Price asides, Kawakubo makes all of your sushi dreams come true!!

This was recommended by my boyfriend's co-worker said it's the best sushi place in Revelstoke and I must say that We agree. We went there just right when they opened and we were greeted by the hostess/server right away and lead us to our seats. Atmosphere was great! Menu was very straight forward, of course they have some of the classics like any other sushi place would have. After our server has taken our orders, she then asked if any of us have allergies and we told her that I'm allergic to shellfish. It is ironic that I love sushi but I'm allergic to some seafood. /: but of course I had to order the ones I can eat. Waiting time wasn't too shabby. Out of all the sushi place that my boyfriend and I have been to, they were the only ones who asked if any of us have allergies and I was pleased but at the same time, I somehow regret that I told her I'm allergic to shellfish. Because overtime, she would come up to our table to let us know or warn us about how they will be making the food, or where their going to fry it and all sorts of stuff that might contaminate my food with shellfish. I appreciate her being protective and that she worries :) it was actually pretty cute how she reacted when I tried eating the deep fried chicken, she freaked out! She said that they didn't changed the oil where they deep fried the chicken and the other seafoods but I was fine, I am always aware of what I will be eating and I was careful! Of course boyfriend always had to make sure. With that being said, the food was great! We ordered Shumai for appetizers, Philadelphia roll, Geisha roll, Naruto roll, cowboy roll and Chicken katsu. All, I was able to eat except the Naruto roll because it has crab meat in it. But that was for my boyfriend he loves seafood! Anywho, everything was delicious! sushis were made fresh, presentation looks very appetizing! The price was just bit much., With those 6 things we ordered got us to pay over $100 including tips. Other than that, it was a delish experience! Must visit if you ever go to Revelstoke.

This is one of my favourite places to eat in town. They do a great job. The chefs know what they are doing.

Nagomi Sushi Takeout

Nagomi Sushi Takeout

We actually stopped in town to have late lunch at another restaurant that a friend recommended, but…read morewe passed Nagomi on the way, spotted a couple veg-friendly options on their menu, and the rest is history. The restaurant is quite small, but we got a seat at the window immediately after ordering at the counter. After that they were turning people away (mostly large groups which I don't think they'd be able to accommodate anyway). I had the tofu poke bowl (rice bowl with tofu, avocado, cucumber, wakame, carrot, sesame seeds, and green onion) and J. had the teriyaki crispy tofu bowl (rice bowl with fried tofu, cabbage, carrot, cucumber, teriyaki & sesame sauce). Both were quite salty to me, but also they were quite delicious. And large. I took half of mine to go and was grateful for the leftovers later. I will note that the bathroom situation was a little strange. You exit the restaurant and go down the hall where you'll find a single-occupant washroom. But there are two doors -- the one you came in and the one next to the toilet that goes into the kitchen. I peed as quickly as possible with my eyes on both doors the whole while praying no one would barge in either one. They did not. Maybe they don't use the kitchen access door, but I could clearly hear people right on the other side of it the whole while which was a little unnerving.

omg im in looove! the pan fried gyoza is sooo good and the california rolls +amazing serviceread more
