Well if uv been driving 11 hours, there is nothing for a tired Asian than Korean soon dubu to end the day with something warm and comfy. This spot is located on the strip in Golden just before you head up into the Rockies. It's convenient and even has EV charging just outside the door and plenty of convenience stories and gas there too. This is a converted restaurant and has a sushi bar and lots of space for families and tired travelers. They have a huge variety of cuisines. But we loved the simple udon noodles and the tempura udon. Also their Korean stews are great too. Plus there are a zillion treats available as well if you want to get Korean snacks. Enjoy! The staff is friendly and the service is fast. Perfect for the location!

The food is so tender and the meat has a sweet salty flavor, the owner is working so hard to keep the food hot

The food is so tender and the owner is so nice and there aren't many employee. the food has a tender flavor and there are so many options the menu is four pages long with no pictures just things to order and there's another two page drink menu

This was such a good sushi place ! I was so surprised about the negative reviews, I'm from NYC and while I'm not saying this is chef counter sushi, it is exactly what it is meant to be. Good sushi in a beautiful town. I really enjoyed it and the prices were great!!! Would recommend and come back. It was clean and the service was so attentive and friendly. I even got sashimi and it was sooo fresh!

The only good part is the physical restaurant it's clean and modern. And has lots of places for people to sit. . Where do I get started on the food it's horrible. I got the seafood soup and the flavour of fish was overwhelming. the other food we got was also horrendous. We got the beef don and it looked like it was mouldy it looked disgusting and didn't taste good either it looked really old. The pad Thai was ok just ok nothing special I was disappointed. The service is ok same thing just ok

Bad service but the food was decent. They forgot to make something my party had ordered and were really slow at bringing food out in general. I was almost done with my entrée before another person in my party got their food. I got the udon and it was alright. Nothing really special about it but I was satisfied. Another member of my party got the ramen and they basically said it was just instant ramen except with an egg and some veggies.

A gem located on the highway strip worthy of stopping in. Walking in I was instantly with a hit yummy aroma. Looking around it was clean. full of light with decor with Korean artwork. Our waitresses was friendly and prompt with service. The food came out fast full of flavour and cooked perfectly. The price tags for each item are far

To be honest I was a bit reluctant when I saw this restaurant while driving to Calgary on Trans Canada HWY, but instead of going to a regular burger joint I decided to be adventurous, remember this is Golden, BC not Richmond, BC! One will have to put away all expectations and be open minded! Once entered your confidence level rises, and when I saw the Sushi Chef behind the counter the level raised one more notch! The sushi cooler and the sushi bar was kept very tidy and clean! So we went ahead to order: BC Dynamite Roll ie Grilled Salmon Skin/Tempura Shrimp/Avocado rated at 4/5 Chicken Teriyaki rated at 4/5 Spicy Seafood Noodle Korean Style 3/5 (the boss lady was very nice and fore warned me that they use instant noodle for this item) and I agreed to try it, well if you do instant noodle right it's as good! But I have to say everything was good except the noodles are a bit over done. So my conclusion: if you can get this level of Korean /Japanese fusion in the Town of Golden, you have to give the owner and the kitchen team credit for their enterprising spirit! I am wishing them all the best to make it a very popular stop over place for hungry travelers like myself!!

Very clean and cute place! Service was great and sushi was amazing! We were the only ones there the food came out fast. Definitely will be back if I'm in the area! Bill was for four people!

Authentic Japanese cuisine at a reasonable price in Golden. Korean food is ok. But overall, it is a surprisingly delicious Asian restaurant.

Ordered Pad Thai. No resemblance to Pad Thai whatsoever. Pretty much noodles, cabbage and super sweet Teriyaki sauce.

On the way to banff? Sick and tired of hamburgers and salads? This is a restaurant that sells Korean soul food in middle of nowhere.

The restaurant is quite small, but we got a seat at the window immediately after ordering at the counter. After that they were turning people away (mostly large groups which I don't think they'd be able to accommodate anyway). I had the tofu poke bowl (rice bowl with tofu, avocado, cucumber, wakame, carrot, sesame seeds, and green onion) and J. had the teriyaki crispy tofu bowl (rice bowl with fried tofu, cabbage, carrot, cucumber, teriyaki & sesame sauce). Both were quite salty to me, but also they were quite delicious. And large. I took half of mine to go and was grateful for the leftovers later. I will note that the bathroom situation was a little strange. You exit the restaurant and go down the hall where you'll find a single-occupant washroom. But there are two doors -- the one you came in and the one next to the toilet that goes into the kitchen. I peed as quickly as possible with my eyes on both doors the whole while praying no one would barge in either one. They did not. Maybe they don't use the kitchen access door, but I could clearly hear people right on the other side of it the whole while which was a little unnerving.

Never brought you over friends beers, after a 15 minutes of waiting we just had them canceled. Only checked on us once halfway through our food and I told her they forgot that egg add-on for my dish. Never brought the egg but still tried to charge me for the egg when she brought the checks. Not apologtic at all, would have more empathy if she at least apologized for some of these errors. And even worse, she pre populated an 18% tip. Honestly pretty awful experience with Harper. I never write such harsher reviews and have had such a wonderful service experience at all the restaurants in Calgary so this was a uniquely bad experience.

It was the closest thing to Asian food in the area. My wife ordered the grizzly bear roll and that consisted of salmon in the middle and smoked salmon on top. The sushi literally just fell apart when we picked it up and the rice felt kind of old. Which was strange because we ordered a few Nigiri pieces and the texture of the rice between the two were different. I also ordered a Tonkatsu ramen. It was neither nor good nor bad it did the job. I did like the charred pork slices though.
