Well if uv been driving 11 hours, there is nothing for a tired Asian than Korean soon dubu to end the day with something warm and comfy. This spot is located on the strip in Golden just before you head up into the Rockies. It's convenient and even has EV charging just outside the door and plenty of convenience stories and gas there too. This is a converted restaurant and has a sushi bar and lots of space for families and tired travelers. They have a huge variety of cuisines. But we loved the simple udon noodles and the tempura udon. Also their Korean stews are great too. Plus there are a zillion treats available as well if you want to get Korean snacks. Enjoy! The staff is friendly and the service is fast. My sis and I were a bit hesitant at first about eating here, but we were driving thru on our way to Banff and found this gem. We wanted some kind of Asian food and this place hit the spot! So we went ahead to order: BC Dynamite Roll ie Grilled Salmon Skin/Tempura Shrimp/Avocado rated at 4/5 Chicken Teriyaki rated at 4/5 Spicy Seafood Noodle Korean Style 3/5 (the boss lady was very nice and fore warned me that they use instant noodle for this item) and I agreed to try it, well if you do instant noodle right it's as good! But I have to say everything was good except the noodles are a bit over done. So my conclusion: if you can get this level of Korean /Japanese fusion in the Town of Golden, you have to give the owner and the kitchen team credit for their enterprising spirit! Ordered Pad Thai. No resemblance to Pad Thai whatsoever. Pretty much noodles, cabbage and super sweet Teriyaki sauce.

Slow service, some orders were taken wrong, sushi wasn't that great, rolls weren't even cut we had to go up to the kitchen to ask for a knife to cut them aaaand we were never checked on after our food arrived. Came here on a whim with the fam during our stay in Golden. The restaurant was modern, had a warm ambiance, and there were plenty of guests. The restaurant was incredibly short-staffed, but it was the Canada Day long weekend. We waited for 15 min before our order was placed and then waited another 45 min before our food was served. Many of the other guests were also growing restless - the look of frustration, part-anger and part-hunger filled the restaurant and pretty much destroyed our previous impressions. We ordered the Korean fried chicken, bulgogi, bibimbap, hot/spicy pork belly, and the seafood udon noodles. The waitress (likely new) got our order wrong, but by then, we were too hungry to wait for the correct order. The bulgogi, bibimbap, and seafood udon noodles were mediocre. The pork belly was not spicy at all. However, the Korean fried chicken was not bad - the chicken was juicy, freshly-fried, and full of flavor. Comparing to the other (more positive) reviews, perhaps our experience may have been a one-time thing due to it being the long weekend. We felt bad for the staff as it was clear they were trying to juggle way too much. Overall, Q's is not the worse place to go if you are looking for some semi-authentic Japanese/Korean cuisine in Golden, but you may be in for a wait depending on the day. read more

I wasn't sure that I wanted Asian food in Golden. However, I already traveling in the prairie for days not having any Asian food and it was cold outside. I really wanted a bowl of hot noodle soup. So we went and glad we did. The decor of this place is nothing fancy. It is clean and spacious. I like that they don't put tables so close to each other. I am pretty sure strollers and wheelchairs can easily move around inside without having issue. The food is good. Of course you are not comparing the Japanese or Korean food you normally can get in Vancouver, or Richmond B.C. You are in the mountains, in the middle of nowhere. Their Korean dishes are very authentic. The chef and the hostess are Korean for sure. The hostess speaks limited English but good enough to introduce their menu items. The service was good. We arrived after 8pm. They brought water soon after we sat down. Food was ready within 15 min. after we ordered. Their Korean dishes definitely taste good and authentic. The sushi is okay and fresh but I would recommend you order Korean dishes. Overall a good dining experience in Golden. If you are driving through the Rockies and want some Asian food, this is the place to go. read more

When the food didn't show up by 9:20pm- we finally went to cancel our order, that's when they apologized and started preparing our meal!! Have driven by this place many times to and from Revelstoke and never stopped- mainly suspicious of the location and their neighbors ( a lot of fast food places). Stopped in today and boy are glad we did! Great atmosphere, very nice waitress and the food was delish. Granted we only had 2 dishes to judge by (beef teriyaki rice bowl and the bibimbap) but both we very tasty, eggs were done perfectly., and presentation was lovely! Perfectly sized portions. The wait for the food is way too long, some of us ordered ramen and rice bowl but when the food arrived, it looked completely different from all the Korean food's we've had. Their ramen is just like regular instant noodles but only added veggies to make it seem like they prepared it well. The price is way too expensive for the crap we got, plus they got some of our order wrong but never replaced it or even apologized for their mistake. Out of no where, we've stumbled into this joint on our way to Banff! Rare find of Korean and Japanese fusion in this area right by a highway! Awesome food! We tried, kimchi pork belly, korean BBQ beef short ribs, and the waitress recommended special pad thai so we ordered it also. My friend apparently loves deep fried sushi rolls...and they had this roll called "crazy roll"...it was crazy yummilicious! Over all, the food was awesome!! Waiting staffs were super friendly. We r definitely gonna plan on stopping by again on our way back home. read more

The Q stands for questionable. I honestly don't know what I was expecting (probably decent food) but in a moment of weakness I broke my cardinal rule when traveling: don't trust an Asian restaurant in a non Asian-prominent area, or at least in a such a small 'town' such as Golden. However my stomach bested my reason and we dined here with high hopes, I suppose a big mistake. There were happy customers so maybe we just got the short end of the stick but we ordered the ramen. It wasn't until we had waited a good amount of time that our server had informed us that the ramen was made from the instant ramen package. When we showed some reluctance to order the ramen with this new information he told us that the order was already being made, essentially saying that we had no chance to change orders because of this. Honestly a very unpleasant experience in itself. I'm a fan of instant ramen when I'm in the mood so I wasn't too upset, but the ramen itself was hard and flavorless. Maybe I had ordered the wrong ramen (Japanese Miso) but I couldn't even finish it. My partner ordered the spicy Korean ramen with shrimp which was better than I ordered but still a let down. Looking back, it makes sense for such a small town restaurant to serve instant ramen, as real ramen (made from scratch) is such an investment and specialty that from a business standpoint it would make no sense to try to make fresh ramen. I wish I had considered this before eating here. Overall two stars because there were other families there who looked like they were enjoying themselves and the restaurant itself is clean with pleasant decor. Do not order the ramen if you're like me and you know what real ramen tastes like, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt in that they have a large menu and maybe we just ordered wrong. read more

Stumbled across this very nice restaurant after a days skiing and we we're on our way home. It's very friendly and very comfortable and the staff are super nice. I was skiing at Kicking Horse and would never have come here if it wasn't for the first review. I have to say I was amazed at how good this place was. Completely unexpected. I've eaten in many highly ranked Korean restaurants in Toronto and Vancouver and I have to say this place is better than most. Had 2 dinners here and will be going back again tomorrow.
