We chose the two-hour tour, which felt like the perfect balance, not too short and not too long. While it is a bit more expensive than some of the larger boat tours, the experience is much more intimate. With a smaller group, it was easy to ask the captain questions and have meaningful conversations throughout the journey. One of the highlights was a brief stop at a historic military base, where we learned even more about Copenhagen's fascinating history. Along the way, we admired the city's stunning and unique architecture and, of course, made a stop at The Little Mermaid. Our captain, Aske, was one of the best tour guides we've ever had--friendly, entertaining, knowledgeable, and full of great energy. If you're considering a boat tour in Copenhagen, we highly recommend this one. It was an unforgettable experience, and we learned so much about the city. You won't regret it!

After exploring the area by foot AND taking a small guided boat tour, we were already familiar with the canal and the area. We stopped at a supermarket, picked up some beers and food, and headed right to the kiosk. I was pleased to see that they offered some wines, snacks, and beverages right when you rent the boat, so I grabbed a bottle of rosé. They have one, two and three hour options - the two hour was plenty of time. The staff were great at explaining the best route we should take, what to do, and what not to do. The boat itself was super easy to use, even though I think our boat was a bit slower than some of the others in the fleet. We enjoyed sailing by all the cool buildings we saw on tour but getting a bit closer, and being able to stop for pictures. I happily snacked away as I waved to locals people watching. I think this boat company is a great value for the price and an unforgettable experience. Note that the boats can fit up to 8 people, so bring some friends!

Put me on a boat so I can explore the city while also sitting for an hour or so and I am happy gal. So on my next-to-last day in the city, needing to kill a little time before a museum opened up, and wanting to rest my feet for a spell...I hopped on a Netto boat tour. Also...because I had already done the other boat tour included with the Copenhagen Card. The boats are a little dingier and dirtier than some other tour companies. And they pack the boats full. You may not have much personal space on a busy day. But you get a full circle tour of the city from the water and you get to be on a boat for an hour. So...*shrug* So I stand by the Canal Tours being much better. But I think as long as you get to do a boat tour during your time in town, any one will do.

It's so romantic, we decided to kiss every time the boat goes under the bridge. And people! there are MANY bridges on this tour, over 20 in fact, but who's counting? If you're not a romantic, the practical purpose of this tour is to catch your bearings. Whenever I'm somewhere new, I always opt for the best mode of transportation to see the city. And here, it's best seen on the water. You'll pass the famous Little Mermaid, the impressive Opera House, the upscale Christianshavn neighborhood, Vor Freslers Kirke, etc. The tour lasts about 60 minutes and costs 60 Dkk (that's only $10!) and it's the best tour given in Danish and English. Don't go to the DFS company, they charge twice as much for the same exact tour.

Fresh, well made and delicious. The whole thing is on a canal boat - it's not operational, but you're out on the canal! Really great experience.

Prices weren't crazy, which I greatly appreciated. I wished I had seen some simple snacks on the menu but that's it. The selection is pretty good, and the prices are in-line with the area, plus they even offer you a blanket if it's a bit chilly while you're there. The past time I was there it was quite sunny and warm though, and they even had a little seating area set up on dry land (I guess that's good if you're averse to boats, but in my opinion that's what makes it cool!). Early mornings are for the running people (and the walk of shame people) then comes the fashionable girls walking with a latte, the dog people, the late runners and finally the sunset chasers. Copenhagen's waterfront is facing east, so one of the best places to see the sun set behind the rooftop is here. My favorite is to share a bottle of wine (yes, this is legal here) by the stairs next to the Planetary. From here you can enjoy the last sun and wonderful atmosphere.

Søerne, the small lakes in the middle of Copenhagen, sort of divide the city in two. You have to…read morecross a bridge to either get to Nørrebro or (back) to Indre By. It's hard to miss the lakes, but whenever I'm in Copenhagen, I want to pay them a proper visit too. This time I was staying in an AirBnB very close to the lakes - in Østerbro, and gladly walked all the way pass the lakes to Vesterbro a snowy Friday morning. There weren't many people, but it was the best tour to start my trip with. This is the perfect place for a nature-ish walk (without even leaving the city center!), for a run, for walking the dog, for just sitting and chatting and having picnics when the weather is nice. It simply really is a pretty place! Walking from Østerbro to Vesterbro, along one side of the lakes, takes about 40-45 minutes.

Little harbor in Charlottenlund, even if you don't have a boat, i's nice to go for a walk any time…read moreof the day - yes, even on those cold winter days - there's something relaxing in walking by the cold sea (only the wild Danes run). In the summer there's Oliver's Garage (behind the cool Arne-Jacobsen-designed petrol station) where you can have an ice cream and walk around. There are also a couple of cafés to eat, have a coffee or brunch. The highlight of my visits to this place is when we once bumped into Prince Frederik and his son just coming back from kayaking or sailing, so if the royals come to sail here, it must be good :)
