Aperol Spritz
Michelle R.

Loved this spot! A great little retreat in the busy city. I love that they offer free kayaks if you pick up trash - what a great idea! We came for drinks after touring the city. My go-to on this trip was the Aperol Spritz. We had a couple drinks and regained our energy to finish sightseeing. Great spot to take in the canal, people watch, relax and get some sun.

The venue is great. A couple floating docks with chairs and a great view of the canal = total relaxation. Had a good time but prices and food left a lot to be desired. You order at one counter, with a queue that can vary in size. They quoted me 5-15 minutes and my food probably took 40 minutes. You pick it up from at orange food truck when the buzzer went off. The fries were tasty and hot but they gave me a minuscule amount of aioli for them. And the mussels were ice cold and flavorless. The beer was good however for the first round we had wine and it was the smallest glass of wine ever.

In a word - sun, fun, cool people, awesome location and amazing food. Longer version (for the brave) - decided to spend a lazy day in Copenhagen and ended up here. And wow, this place... Is like, everything I needed. Hidden under one of the bridges, when the sun is shining with some good vibes! You can't ignore the cool music that is playing in the background, feels like you're somewhere else for a bit. And if you're too hot - just hop in the water! The bar and grill are just under the bridge but you can also sit right in the canal on an improvised beach and enjoy the views of kayaks and random boats as they pass by and sometimes wave at you, be social - wave back! The service is nice and the prices are not too high, we enjoyed a couple of beers in the sun and had to portions of amazing fries! Besides that, all the dishes that were served to the people around us were visually stunning (and also smelled great) If you want to pass a chilled lazy couple of hours, this is the place for sure!

It was the opening of the kayak season. For a 3rd of april it was chilly but with the sun an the wet suit, it was such a great escape on the canal. A super way to see the city from the water. As long a you keep your right you are free! (Passing by the black diamond library and to the old part under the nice bridges..) The guide/teacher was so wonderful , patient and passionate. Kayak republic is use to have big groups. Great efficient team, lockers for every one- and at the end, there is even a sauna and a bar along the canal. I am really thinking of subscribing for the training to have all the tricks, and tondo more kayak right in the middle of copenhagen!

The Best Burg in town !
Lincoln T.

Stumbled upon this spot biking by - service was great and food was delicious. Without a doubt the best burger in town and very well priced. Fries that came with it were superb!! Prosecco on tap! Staff were inviting and excited to share their neighbourhood bar. Shawn the food manager great guy to chat with!

Great spot to chill outside and have a beer with some friends. The covered heated area was a nice plus once it got chilly.

We chose the two-hour tour, which felt like the perfect balance, not too short and not too long. While it is a bit more expensive than some of the larger boat tours, the experience is much more intimate. With a smaller group, it was easy to ask the captain questions and have meaningful conversations throughout the journey. One of the highlights was a brief stop at a historic military base, where we learned even more about Copenhagen's fascinating history. Along the way, we admired the city's stunning and unique architecture and, of course, made a stop at The Little Mermaid. Our captain, Aske, was one of the best tour guides we've ever had--friendly, entertaining, knowledgeable, and full of great energy. If you're considering a boat tour in Copenhagen, we highly recommend this one. It was an unforgettable experience, and we learned so much about the city. You won't regret it!

The perfect combo of social interactions, enjoying the company and great commentary and guiding. Very comfortable in the boat, we were blessed with a little sunshine so it was perfect. Drinks available to buy if wished and water readily on hand. There was a couple on board who were less interested in the social element but the Texan lady also on the boat was a delight to be with too. Our captain managed the dynamics very well. Easy to book, great comms beforehand and a warm welcome. Highly recommend this great boat ride which gives a wonderful perspective on this lovely city. Great value for money. Thank you HeyCaptain team.

We…read moreabsolutely loved putting around the water on our own in these delightful little solar powered boats. You can never be sure of the weather in Copenhagen and it was supposed to be sunny but wound up raining and cold. We asked for a refund and they said they don't give refunds even if it's raining. Had we known that we wouldn't have bought tickets in advance which you have to do if you want to get a boat on most days. How can you refuse refunds for boat rides that won't be bought by anyone else because it's raining? The first theft! We were told that they were watching the weather and the rain would stop in about 20 minutes but it never did. It got lighter for a short while and we saw other people with ponchos coming back. We'd spent almost $300 on the trip so rather than lose the money we decided to go out thinking the rain would let up, it didn't. So we asked for 3 of the ponchos we saw other people wearing. They said sure and pulled out three tiny packets of the thinnest cheapest plastic ponchos that didn't go past your butt and THEY CHARGED US $6 FOR EACH ONE!! The second theft! Talk about adding insult to injury these scumbags capitalize further on their non refundable boat rides by charging you more money for what is essentially the thinnest cheapest plastic garbage bags with a hole on the end and a hood that doesn't cover your head. Guarantee you these ponchos cost them about 30 cents a piece yet they charge the ridiculous sum. At the very least if you won't refund my money give me the crappy plastic poncho for free. Absolute scumbag move. On top of all that they hardly give you any instructions except forward, reverse and then tell you that if you hold the rudder slightly wrong the whole thing will pop out of the mechanism which it did multiple times when we were underway. Horribly unsafe. I can't believe this place has decent reviews on here or that it's still open. If you insist on going just please don't book in advance or you'll quite possibly have an experience as bad or worse than ours. And also if you want a better trip don't use a boat with hand rudder. They have other boats with steering wheels which are probably better but I bet if you turn them to far to the right the whole helm collapses! Thanks for ruining one of our 7 days in Copenhagen go boat! Hope you go out of business soon!

Put me on a boat so I can explore the city while also sitting for an hour or so and I am happy gal. So on my next-to-last day in the city, needing to kill a little time before a museum opened up, and wanting to rest my feet for a spell...I hopped on a Netto boat tour. Also...because I had already done the other boat tour included with the Copenhagen Card. The boats are a little dingier and dirtier than some other tour companies. And they pack the boats full. You may not have much personal space on a busy day. But you get a full circle tour of the city from the water and you get to be on a boat for an hour. So...*shrug* So I stand by the Canal Tours being much better. But I think as long as you get to do a boat tour during your time in town, any one will do.

"Look ma, I'm on a boat!"…read more No, it's not that kinda boat, but it serves its purpose and floating along Copenhagen's canals on a clear, crisp day is really romantic. SIGH. It's so romantic, we decided to kiss every time the boat goes under the bridge. And people! there are MANY bridges on this tour, over 20 in fact, but who's counting? If you're not a romantic, the practical purpose of this tour is to catch your bearings. Whenever I'm somewhere new, I always opt for the best mode of transportation to see the city. And here, it's best seen on the water. You'll pass the famous Little Mermaid, the impressive Opera House, the upscale Christianshavn neighborhood, Vor Freslers Kirke, etc. The tour lasts about 60 minutes and costs 60 Dkk (that's only $10!) and it's the best tour given in Danish and English. Don't go to the DFS company, they charge twice as much for the same exact tour.

Early mornings are for the running people (and the walk of shame people) then comes the fashionable girls walking with a latte, the dog people, the late runners and finally the sunset chasers. There weren't many people, but it was the best tour to start my trip with. This is the perfect place for a nature-ish walk (without even leaving the city center!), for a run, for walking the dog, for just sitting and chatting and having picnics when the weather is nice. It simply really is a pretty place! Walking from Østerbro to Vesterbro, along one side of the lakes, takes about 40-45 minutes.
