Being a foodie, I indulged on my week-long Copenhagen trip in October 2021. One restaurant that I didn't plan on eating at is La Banchina. While exploring the industrial part of the city, I stumbled upon this tiny cafe along the water with a sauna attached to it. Wow, I'm glad I did! The cafe is no-frills, but leads down to a dock where you can enjoy your food, making for lunch with a view. Inside the cafe, you can order cocktails in a can, pastries and lunch from a small menu. For around $15, I ordered a cocktail in a can, pumpkin soup and a bowl of bread with olive oil. The bread was the best I has all trip and the soup was the best I've had ever! Service was fast, efficient and the price was much more affordable compared to many restaurants in Copenhagen. Although there's no wifi, this is still a must-experience.

Beautiful small restaurant on the water with only a few rotating menu items based on what was the "fresh catch" of the day. 100% recommend.

One of those rare finds that isn't on any travel blog or "must visit" lists of Copenhagen. I think I randomly came across this by looking up "hot spring" or "spa" on Yelp. There's a cute little sauna yurt of sorts, but it's more a side attraction to this eatery/winery/cafe. It's quite the anomaly and in a random part of town (through the architecture school compound that used to be military housing), but I pedaled my way there on a bike and while it was a trek, the destination was very much worth the journey (plus, I spotted another awesome tiki-esque bar en route). Number one, it's on the water, so if it's a nice day, your views are spectacular. Even if it was a cloudy day, you'd prob enjoy a coffee inside peering out over the water. Their menu is limited to a few savory and sweet items and they are written on the window behind the counter, so best to just ask the staff to run through it for you. Pick a wine from their mostly "natural" selection, and pop a squat on the various seating options from random chairs to a bench to communal tables to stairs on the dock. It's a veritable seating mélange. I ordered something but then was told that it was cauliflower. No matter to me, I love the textured vegetable. Probably even more than whatever it was in the first place. It was cooked perfectly and drenched in some kind of sauce and topped with hazelnuts and arugula. They mostly dabble in fish but have vegetarian options, as well. Definitely an earthy type of place where you expect everything was dug up (or caught) nearby and everything that isn't edible is recycled and turned into something more functional. A truly exceptional place to grab a snack and a glass of wine and reflect or pal around with pals. Cards only; no cash.

Yaaaaaah!!!! Copenhagen has a new oasis. The place takes a few attempts to find, don't worry, it's a part of the experience. Food wise it is a blessing not to run in to the usual "casual-to-cool-for-school-menu" they have a pasta, a crevice and a kale salad - 70kr each - all simple but tasteful. The wine/bobble selection is fine and decent. I saw Eco sodas and beers, didn't try them, but they are there. The atmosphere is amazing - you know that perfect feeling when you find a secret spot before anyone else? This is it in 2016. You are located with a tiny waterfront, house boats and again the feeling of being in a secret place no one else knows. Staff is friendly, and even when surprised about the popularity and the unexpected business they are friendly and welcoming.

I don't believe you can find a better place to sit and enjoy some cold white wine and a bit of snacky food on a sunny Copenhagen afternoon. Not even Papirøen can match the all important sit-outside-in-the-sun factor. The menu is not that large, but neither is the kitchen. They make do with the little space they have. The pasta was tasty and fairly priced for the portion size. I will definitely be coming back.

When the weather is good, this is the perfect spot for a casual bite or a glass of wine. We arrived a little too early for fried chicken at Amass, so one of the servers recommended that we have a drink here and come back when they were ready. They only had two different beers, but two was enough to kill an hour. One beer was a pale ale from an Italian brewery and the other was from Nørrebro Bryghus; absolutely nothing to write home about but they were cold and refreshing while the sun was bearing down. Sitting on the docks, there were some parasols but no one was using them. The light rocking feeling of the waves was so relaxing and the whole place had a great summer vibe. There are also some picnic tables on the grass if you don't have your sea legs. I saw the boys behind the counter pouring delicious-looking pasta onto paper plates for customers outside and it looked tempting. The shack is tiny as well as the kitchen, so I would definitely avoid this place in bad weather. But while the few days of summer are here, I'd love to try some food at this stellar-looking restaurant.

Let me start out by saying that I stayed for a week in a houseboat directly across from La Banchina and quickly became a regular. Both in the mornings for their coffee and incredibly pastries as well as in the evening. The evening menu is quite simple, typically a fish and a vegetarian option. I ate dinner there twice and went fish both times. First time was a seafood stew with potatoes, the second time was pan seared white fish with beets and both meals were to die for. You have several options for wine, beer, and other refreshments. Even if you are not staying close by its worth the bike ride over. The ambience is warm and inviting in the evenings. On a warm day with the sun shining this is the place to be, especially to watch the sunset. The sauna (which you can rent at the bar), diving into the harbor to cool off, or watching boats come and go. Highly recommended!!

Fantastic food. The ingredients were simple, yet the taste was amazing. We had 8 of us and we were served timely in the casual environment. You order at the counter and find a seat (mostly outside). On this wet night, there was a basket of cozy blankets and a fire. Perfect. Hot chocolate had real chocolate shavings and everything was fresh from apps to meal to dessert. Not for the less hearty or high maintenance. Must be a bit rustic and willing to fit in to the Copenhagen scene.

Good spot for views and coffee. Be prepared for "organic" and unfiltered wine. Read - terrible

I met with a friend here for wine and it was such a nice little off-the-beaten path kind of place. Definitely worth the bike ride.

What took down the stars, is they seem disorganized. Granted, we were there on the evening of the St. Lucia festival, so a lot of people are out and about. We sat down at a communal table, got drinks and food, and were enjoying them. A little bit later, we were asked to move. To another table. Um, no. We'd already had to move over a couple times to accommodate more people at the table. We'd been pondering having another glass, when the request to move came by. Nah, we'll settle up and go, then. Other than that, the food and wine were really great. But don't ask us to move because of your bad planning, there was still a whole other dining room that people could have been seated in.

Stepping down a few stairs into a basement space, the entire place is cozy. Greeted by friendly staff, we were seated at a long community table and served still water right away. Asking the server for recommendations, we both landed on a natural white wine for 90 krone a piece. We also ordered the khachapuri, a Georgian cheese bread dish. It came out warm and the cheese oozed out as we cut into it. Den Vandrette was the perfect snack place before dinner. With the staff being so friendly, it was a warm experience.
