Ok, folks here are the rules: 1. No resy's first come, first serve 2. 100 patrons can fit, seating is limited 3. Hours: Monday-Thursday, Friday-Saturday opens at 8pm, show starts at 9pm. You need time to grab a drink from the bar, no table service. Beer @60 krones 4. Setting: intimate and cozy. 5. Get there at least 30 minutes before showtime to be guaranteed a seat, hands stamped and pay 140 krones for entrance fee 6. Then..... sit, back, enjoy and let the jazz seep through your veins as it did mine. 7. Check their website for shows and time. ( sorry Yelp, hours listed were incorrect) I saw a great show with Jules Fisher and his very talented quartet ( see video). Absolutely wonderful! This is the type of jazz club I love, people listening to great jazz, humming a familiar tune, clapping, bopping and enjoying the show in an intimate setting. Sunday is free thus tonight what I'm paying for is my drinks and listening to great music. The entire staff are wonderful, cool, friendly and love being here. Love jazz, love La Fontaine! Location: a bit difficult to find: take M2 or M3 to Gammel Strand station, find Hermes shop and walk all the way down until you find La Fontaine. It is before Comedy Zoo place. People also in Denmark tend to be quite cool about famous people so no one is pushing towards the stage and if you go early enough you can secure yourself a good spot. I have been only to store vega, which can accommodate quite a lot of people but still it is not a huge venue. It keeps it's simplicity and togetherness. There are two bars downstairs, one inside and one outside the main area. Upstairs there is a balcony which has seated area, but is too far from the stage in my opinion. Have seen a lot of artists here like Yann Tiersen, Of Monsters and Men, The Lumineers and The Vaccines! The garderobe costs 20 dkk so have some cash with you for that. The toilets for men are on ground floor and for women on first floor. I thought first that they favour only the men in Vega but the key is to find your way to the next floor! You can check on the page of vega for upcoming concerts! They are mostly in winter time so keep an eye!

Having seen the band in a number of venues, the acoustics of Vega were sharp, similar to what you would expect from a Music Hall. The crowd were just a little more subdued than at other Interpol shows, but in general - one of my favorites. And if one of your favorite artists happens to play the Vega, its a great reason to see Copenhagen.

It consists of four floors with different themes including a movie theatre, jazz bar and the music cafe where I usually end up. Scaling the stairs presents you with really cool wall paintings which sets the relaxed vibe of the whole place. The venue is quite intimate and small so at times you basically touch toes with the artist performing. I have never been under the impression that it has been cramped for space though, which might have something to do with that you don't get the most well-known artists playing here. I can see them playing here just before their breakthrough and starting to play the big venues or maybe returning from the big venues, either way it suits my taste just fine. :) Check out their website or Facebook for a clear schedule of who is playing when or when they run their next movie themed sunday. They are very active updating these different channels which is a great way to stay up to date especially if you don't live close by.

The love and care put into running the Huset theater is exemplified in the hand-picked eclectic decor, which is hard to explain but seems to combine many decades at once (you'll have to see for yourself)! The walls of Huset are covered in street art, band posters, and movie posters, and you feel cultured just walking in there! I would love to go back to see a show, or to hang out at the bar with friends. The other floors seemed lively on a Tuesday night, so Huset may be a good place to explore any day of the week!

The interior is a bit dark but hey it's a rock bar. It has these alternative hanging lamps made out of food cans. The drinks are also quite fail given Copehagens cost and the sound system was kicking. I'm unsure as I didn't asking who was spinning that night but it was good. Deep house all night till 8am when they close.
