Yes they are more expensive than other places in the area, but the opportunity to taste so many craft beers, you're going to be willing to pinch out a few more kroner. This is about as good as it gets in terms of craft beer in Copenhagen. They have 61 beers on top and a couple that rotate every couple of hours on the fly. I had the #49 Fano (I forget the rest of the name) and it was from a Danish Brewing company in the country. It was their seasonal "Christmas" brew and consisted of a dark porter. It was quite tasty. My second drink was from Amager and it was something called Dark Overlord. Man, they don't play when it comes to ABV. It was a hefty 12%, so I had to get a small glass of that one. It was phenomenal! Go up to the counter and don't be shy - they will let you sample the beers and even offer up recommendations. Prices are quite cheap all things considered. They also have a small appetizer/dessert menu to compliment your brew. I think one of the selection was kiwi pies? I'll be back for sure! read more

This beer bar is an excellent location for a beer on a regular week day. It's always filled with people and has a good vibe. It closes at midnight on weekdays but that's normal hours in cph. I loved the atmosphere. It has low lighting with lots of wood and large bar where you can sit around. I like long bars as people get more social sitting next to each other. The staff was very helpful to find what I liked. I really liked one lemony beer but I don't remember what it was called. Perfect place to sit down and have a gluten free beer after shopping for some hours in Strøget. They only have one gluten free beer on the menu, but in Denmark that's actually a win. Most bars and pubs don't have any at all. The beer on tap is Mikkellers gluten free IPA, which is a nice beer, but a little to fruity and floral for me. It would have been nice with a lighter, more easily drinkable one, but hey at least it's gluten free and safe. The pub is nicely furnished and lit to a relaxed and dimmed atmosphere, and it's really comfortable to sit here and drink beer after walking around for hours. Taphouse is a fun place to visit, and the staff was very nice. We were not able to try the beers we ordered, as we encountered a pick pocketing incident a few days ago. A random gypsy looking man came very close to my sister & pick pocketed her phone while she was ordering 2 beers. She realized it was him once she checked her pockets right away, and noticed that her phone was missing & that the man was leaving the bar. The staff and a random Danish man were so nice, and helped us pat him down to see if he had the phone. He didn't have the phone, but the staff said he saw another suspicious man next to this guy - so likely the phone was handed to the 2nd guy. Horrible incident for us, but just wanted to write a review to thank the male bartender & that nice Danish man for helping us. But also we wanted to write a review to warn travelers about this. Once you get pickpocketed, the police can not do much for you. You just basically file a report at one of the police stations (and they do not open 24 hours like New York), and you most likely will not see your lost item again... For any tourists visiting Copenhagen (especially if you are around the tourist areas), to be aware of your belongings at all times. Be sure to zip your pockets, purses/bookbags, as there are many pick-pocketing going on.The thieves are slick & fast, and are usually gypsies. Copenhagen is a beautiful country that is usually safe. this quickly became the go-to meeting spot for me and my friends. there always seems to be somewhere to sit and the unpretentious bartenders are good at suggesting things you would like when you aren't sure what you want. as the name suggests, there are many beers on tap (61 to be exact!), as well as a good list of bottles. there is something for everyone, unless you want a gin and tonic. there is no smoking allowed inside and the music is usually good and played at a decent volume. because of all these factors, this is a great bar to have long conversations with friends. i always leave here feeling happy. usually i'll decline an invitation to meet at a bar in the city center. bad drinks, loud music, sticky floors, people attempting to dance with you, trying to avoid rowdy drunks on the way home.. none of those things are at taphouse. well, you still have to avoid drunks but at least you will be one of them, and a satisfied customer at that. read more

I can see why my friends like to hang out here. This place is nice. Lots of beer options, obviously - and they are always glad to recommend, not only that you can taste them in those small glasses before buying it. Not sure whether other places do have the same options, but I was surprised to be offered to have a "smagsprøve" (taste) before deciding on the one I like. It can be overwhelmingly crowded in the weekend but the atmosphere is always nice and modern (that's the important thing for me!) I don't want to be stuck in some smelly bodegas with golden generations (sorry, old people - I might change my mind when I get older! LOL) and it's smoke free environment too. I know that Copenhagen enforces the no-smoking inside law a couple of years ago, but you can still find places where it's allowed to smoke inside. Their beer choices are extensive and can be daunting to navigate, hence you should definitely ask the bartender for recommendation, and a "smagsprøve".
