It's changed a bit. Hell, so have I! But we're both totally worth it. We all need someplace to call our own. A place to be comfortable and safe. A place for gay men to talk and laugh and meet and share their thoughts without compromise. I applaud this bar for staying true to itself. I recall meeting one of the most attractive customers in this bar in the late 90s. Years later, I returned to find one of the most attractive and personable men tending bar here. Bartender never once acknowledged our arrival (in all 100sq ft of the bar's floor plan, it wasn't difficult to see newcomers arriving). The 15 patrons at the bar during our 5 minute visit were notably drunk... beyond the "happy and have a buzz" point and well into the "I'm unable to speak coherently and may be drooling on myself..." point. Don't get me wrong - we were absolutely visiting a bar but patrons that drunk were impossible to be around. Ambiance was undetermined as we couldn't see more than 2 foot in front of our own faces due to the lingering cigarette, tobacco, cigar and pipe smoke filling the entire establishment (please understand, this isn't being critical of smokers, as I am a smoker myself...) but ridiculous is an understatement.
