I have been here once before but never wrote a review for it - but I wanted to get my nails done…read moretoday for a pride event tomorrow and didn't want to wait for a nail artist appointment I had on the 19th - so I went. Tee did the base of my manicure and pedicure and Tina did my design - I will say since it is a pride design, it has many colors and I feel like a lot of people in the salon were like omg so many colors - not in a bad way but just in general. But I think the service was great and pricing reasonable for what I got. Tee had to deal with my not great feet that are prone to ingrowns and thus have a lot of dead skin like underneath the corners - I kept apologizing and she was very kind. Lots of creams and a steamer for the pedi I got which was nice. I will say, I don't think I saw them open their tools for the pedicure from a sealed like bag, they just came from the back on a tray - though it's possible that they were just opened away from me. Tina was very kind and did my designs which were fairly...detailed I would say. When I had a want of more paint or more jewels, she did it without complaint - I am very quiet when I am in a nail salon personally - or at least I was in a quiet mode so I did feel bad for being silent but not much judgement from what I can tell. So many people are popping in and out and I would say I don't know how they manage all the clients they have with maybe like 6 people? But they do. My mani pedi took 1.5 hours for reference. I will update this as far as wear later on. I would say it was good quality service for the price and for a general nail salon - you may disagree if you are used to going to nail art specific people perhaps but that's my view. As far as vibes - super busy like I said - people come and talk to each other while they get services - not what I like to do personally but there's lots of that. Employees talk to themselves in their language but surprisingly quietly, I had no idea how they all heard each other. There are two big TVs they have generic shows and ads running on and general spa music. They also have a either ancestor altar, and or ancestor plate - I think that is what it is called though I am not certain - in the front. I thought it was a nice touch personally.

The only reason for four stars instead of five is the price I ended up paying $60 for a regular gel with just a $5 up charge for a special effect on my nails. That seems really expensive to me and also the chairs while really pretty are very impractical because you can't recline in them and for someone tall it makes for not as comfortable of an experience the entire time all I wanted to do was recline and I'm pregnant on top of it so it was a bit tough for me.

Even when you make an appointment, they still have you sit and wait 40 minutes to over an hour because they either double-book or take walk-in customers ahead of you. No one communicates with you about the delay or even gives you an estimate of how long you'll be waiting. To make matters worse, the staff often don't even look up when they're speaking to you. The final straw was taking my 87-year-old mother there to have her nails done. The technician was rough with her--pulling on her hands and arms hard enough to hurt her. It was painful to watch and I had to speak up because it was ridiculous! Afterward, my mom politely asked if they could clean the white nail polish that was left all over her hands, and they completely ignored her. There was no care, no professionalism, and no respect shown to either of us. Never again. I would strongly caution anyone considering this salon to look elsewhere. My previous Dazzle Dry manicure, done while on vacation, lasted 10 days without chipping because it was properly applied. I feel bad because the staff seems really sweet but based on reviews and my experience, results can be inconsistent.

I may have misunderstood what was possible, so the design wasn't quite what I had pictured, and one nail broke shortly after. They kindly called me back and redid them with a cat eye design, which I really loved. Unfortunately, within just a couple days, the new set also started breaking. Even after being fixed once for free, two more nails broke off in less than 3 days. For $80, I expected my nails to last much longer. I won't be returning, but I do really appreciate the staff's kindness and trying to fix it. And hope they can improve their technique.
