The 808 Poke and Cali Bowl Poke
    Sandy T.

Fresh and delicious food. Counter service. Choose from signature rice bowls or create your own. There are weekday lunch specials before 3pm. I ordered the 808 bowl and tried the California bowl. Both were tasty but I liked the California bowl more (the sauce it came with was unbeatable). They were both fresh and flavorful. Tried their new menu item, Korean fried chicken. It wasn't battered or tossed in any sort of sauce but it had basic seasoning and tasted good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was impressed with this rather lowkey place. Inside was clean and bright. Nice space to dine in for a quick-casual lunch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will definitely be back to try all their menu items.

Great bowls and sushi! Their bulgogi bowl is insanely delish; the meat is super tender and everything in the bowl works wonderfully together. Their mini spring rolls are perfectly crispy and you get a bunch. I typically stick to California rolls (I'm a newbie to sushi) but I ventured out and tried the Lisa Lisa roll and I'm so glad I did; my only complaint is I wish the sauces they put on the roll were served on the side for takeout because it soaked into the panko and made less crispy. But still delish! Will continue to come back for their bowls!

Please, please, please go to Kawa Express! This is a quality establishment with excellent up front service! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The apace is clean and fresh, very modern and comfortable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The selection of food is astounding; poke bowls (what a range!), sushi, k-dogs, fries, and more. Their sushi rolls, of which I got the Hot N Spicy Kawa and Pink Slip Roll, are maxed out in quality and quantity. You will get more than you think, which is so excellent for sushi. JUST. GO.

Everything was amazing! Food was delicious. Quickly made and tasted great. The owner was very polite and considerate. I went when they first opened so it was still slow, he gave us some free samples and made good conversation while we waited for our order. Great customer service and care for his staff, also speaks Spanish (and probably Korean/Japanese). It's a small local restaurant that I would recommend! I got my food takeout for lunch.

we made our own poke bowls and bought an order of takoyaki. it was all delicious! owner and staff are very nice and offer to answer any questions. has quite a bit of seating inside and lots of windows with natural light. they also have ipads to order if you don't want to order at the register.

SO good! The owner was extremely friendly, went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. They have so many options and everything was really fresh. Very flavorful! We can't wait to come back and try some more items. Pictured is: create your own bowls, and loaded kimchi fries with bulgogi. Definitely recommend!

    OMG!!!!!!!!!

Delicious Delicious Delicious! Everything about this restaurant is worthy of TEN STARS. I walked in 20 minutes before closing and received a warm welcome from the owner and the team. The restaurant is super clean and cute! He even gave me a drink while I waited for my food. It's refreshing to receive good service, but Most of all THE FOOD IS AMAZING!

Generally places don't do a good job of cooking bulgogi beef to my liking or it's usually pretty fatty, but this place does an AMAZING job. We recently spent 2 weeks in Hawaii and had some of the best food of our lives and this is the first place since being back that has reminded us of Maui. The food was very fresh and flavorful. The gyozas are unlike and I've ever had. No stone bowls for the bibimbop but still delish. Not the biggest fan of the noodles that were an option for the byob but the rice was great. I do wish fried rice was an option- maybe someday. We got ours to go but the dining room was really cute also.

Great service and food! This place is super underrated! Both bowls were really yummy (bulgogi and spicy tuna). Super fresh ingredients!

We stopped for lunch slightly after the lunch rush and still found a crowded restaurant. We were seated quickly and despite being pretty busy, our server was great and the kitchen was as well because our wait for food once ordered was minimal. We ordered Gyoza, Bao, Spicy tuna rolls and Big Shrimp Tempura rolls. 1. Gyoza-fantastic. Pan fried just enough to bring out the flavor of the ingredients and wrapper. Most places overcook gyoza and while still decent, are not nearly as good as these were. 2. Bao. Once I tried these out of town I was hooked. Have-not seen them one any menu until I came here. We ordered pork and it was perfect. 3. Spicy Tuna Rolls-slight disappointment. The tuna is ground up and mixed with the spices to make it spicy. I would not order this again. After talking to your server, she said I could oder traditional tuna rolls and have the spices applied externally rather than mixed up in a ground up fashion. Perhaps I will order this way next time but there is so many other dishes that need to be tried. 4. Big Shrimp Tempura. Wonderful. Great flavors I looked at other tables and Bento Boxes, ramen dishes and hibachi items looked really, really good and need to be explored as well. I'm predicting we will become regulars here. What a great place!!
