    My daughter suggested Katzen so I went and received new glasses. They are the absolute worst pair of glasses I have ever bought!

The office staff is now unprofessional and extremely rude. My wife tried to make an appoint with the office and, because we do not have insurance, was put on hold for so long that she finally gave up and made an appoint with a different eyecare office. For all the years we both were patients, we paid for our exams and glasses at the time of the fitting, but I guess that was not even considered. I decided to try the office again in July, and paid for my exam and glasses at that time. At the end of January, we received a $25.00 bill with a threat of a $30.00 late payment in 10 days. We had no idea this additional money was owed and asked why a call couldn't have been made instead of the nasty notes. The reply from Ashley was, "We can't call everyone who owes us money!" The bill was paid, and they have lost two long-time patients.

The first time was for a blocked passage on my eyelid that popped up suddenly that I couldn't seem to remedy and the second just a few days ago turns out I had a a scratch on my eye. Both times they managed to fit me in the same day I called and had pointed me in the right direction for the healing process. I can not thank them enough. I also self pay and do not carry insurance plan for this and was not price gouged. Very thankful for all they have done for me and will be a returning customer!

She sold the practice (but the name was not changed) and Whitney McConkey is no longer there. My most recent eye exam was in November and I still have no contact lenses. I've called over 6 times in 2 months and left messages. No one has ever returned my call. The worst example of customer service I've ever experienced. Update...I went in person, checked in, and waited to see a manger who was very helpful in getting my issue resolved.

On my visit to pick up my glasses, they discovered my script was inputted incorrectly when ordering. They corrected/re-entered the script and ordered again. I chalked that up to an honest mistake. After 4 weeks since 1st order, I was contacted that my glasses were ready for pick up. Again, my glasses were incorrect but this time they blamed the lens manufacturer. At that time I was told they could send to another lens manufacturer but Advanced Eye would "eat the costs." So, they placed the third order. Another order was placed with the original lens manufacturer. I arrived a week or so later to pick up the glasses. At that time I mentioned that I was having problems seeing far clearly, but figured I'd give it a week to get used to. After a week I revisited since I couldn't wear the glasses due to the vision issue. The rep mentioned he didn't know why they marked the distance vision where they did. I had to tilt my head down to see far. He offered to remake the glasses. I said, nope, I'm done. Please refund my order. After at least several calls/messages to both the billing office and billing manager asking where my refund was, and never receiving a call back from anyone, I received an email indicating I would receive a credit. However the credit was short $200 with no explanation. I have tried to contact the office about this and they won't return my calls. Absolutely horrible to deal with. Do not recommend. I continue to try to get the money they owe me. 11/20/2024 As an update, to the above review, my husband recently visited Advanced Eye Care about the reduced refund. After waiting a very long time to speak with a manager, he was told returns are prorated. My husband asserted, even after the glasses were incorrectly made several times due to their errors? The mgr pointed to wall signs posted. At no time during my many visits was this pointed out. Had I been told no 100% refunds, I would have stuck it out and tried another attempt at getting my eyewear correct. Very long story short, we will never use their services again. Essentially my $1,000+ glasses (after insurance $553), cost me $200 for no eyewear, hours of travel time back and forth due to their errors and frustration. Not to mention, at no time did staff ever return my calls. Buyer beware.

    I scheduled an appointment for a vision exam, showed up for my appointment and was told that I…read morewould have to pay a $45 co-pay for my exam. I immediately questioned that and was told that my exam would be done by an off-site doctor and the "Staff" would walk through it with me. I said NOPE, reschedule to when a doctor would be in the room with me. I showed up for my appt and the doctor was great. The front sales on the other hand was nothiing short of criminal. I said all I needed was lenses as they don't sell the frames I wear anymore. I was asked to sign a waiver that said they would only pay for HALF of the value of my frame if they damaged it??? So the sales person then tells me my lenses AFTER my insurance was applied would be just short of $500. I asked him what brand of lenses he was quoting and he responded that they were their in house brand. I said, "We are done here". I called the provider that did my lenses last year and they quoted me for both Veralux Digital and Zeiss lenses at approx $275 after my insurance allowance. These guys seem to believe they have a license to steal. If you are looking for anything other than an eye exam, I wouldn't recommend going there...there are much more professional places offering significantly better prices and product offerings than this chain.

It's as though company policy is to lie, cheat, and rob the customers. You MUST double, then triple check your bill because these "helpful" employees will add in extra fees for things that were never discussed. I have an eye exam coming up and have reached out to my insurance company to break down the billing so that I can question each and every charge to avoid MyEyeDr's policy of inflating the cost. I plan to also bring in my spouse to go over the billing as well. Please don't allow your elderly family members to go to MyEyeDr without another trustworthy individual because they will take advantage of them. Absolutely disgusting. If I have another issue after my next appointment with dishonest employees I will absolutely report my complaints to whomever will investigate their deceitful practices. My spouse and I do very much like Dr. Connolly which is why we continue to use My EyeDR, but have zero faith in the integrity of the company.
