I've been a patient for about 4 years. It was a very well run professional ophthalmology center under Lisa Feulner. She sold the practice (but the name was not changed) and Whitney McConkey is no longer there. My most recent eye exam was in November and I still have no contact lenses. I've called over 6 times in 2 months and left messages. No one has ever returned my call. The worst example of customer service I've ever experienced. Update...I went in person, checked in, and waited to see a manger who was very helpful in getting my issue resolved. read more

Although the optical care seemed good. I do not recommend this group for ordering glasses as well as customer/billing service. I purchased glasses through Advanced Eye. On my visit to pick up my glasses, they discovered my script was inputted incorrectly when ordering. They corrected/re-entered the script and ordered again. I chalked that up to an honest mistake. After 4 weeks since 1st order, I was contacted that my glasses were ready for pick up. Again, my glasses were incorrect but this time they blamed the lens manufacturer. At that time I was told they could send to another lens manufacturer but Advanced Eye would "eat the costs." So, they placed the third order. Another order was placed with the original lens manufacturer. I arrived a week or so later to pick up the glasses. At that time I mentioned that I was having problems seeing far clearly, but figured I'd give it a week to get used to. After a week I revisited since I couldn't wear the glasses due to the vision issue. The rep mentioned he didn't know why they marked the distance vision where they did. I had to tilt my head down to see far. He offered to remake the glasses. I said, nope, I'm done. Please refund my order. After at least several calls/messages to both the billing office and billing manager asking where my refund was, and never receiving a call back from anyone, I received an email indicating I would receive a credit. However the credit was short $200 with no explanation. I have tried to contact the office about this and they won't return my calls. Absolutely horrible to deal with. Do not recommend. I continue to try to get the money they owe me. 11/20/2024 As an update, to the above review, my husband recently visited Advanced Eye Care about the reduced refund. After waiting a very long time to speak with a manager, he was told returns are prorated. My husband asserted, even after the glasses were incorrectly made several times due to their errors? The mgr pointed to wall signs posted. At no time during my many visits was this pointed out. Had I been told no 100% refunds, I would have stuck it out and tried another attempt at getting my eyewear correct. Very long story short, we will never use their services again. Essentially my $1,000+ glasses (after insurance $553), cost me $200 for no eyewear, hours of travel time back and forth due to their errors and frustration. Not to mention, at no time did staff ever return my calls. Buyer beware. read more

This place is not only a joke but a scam for senior citizens! I came for an annual eye exam which took a ridiculous two hours!!! What the hell is that! Excuse...we have a new doctor who likes to spend an hour to an hour and a half! Didn't tell me when appointment was made. I am completely satisfied with Dr. Feulner and her entire staff. Performed my cataract surgery flawlessly. And continues to follow-up with me to be sure no complications arise. Did extensive research on Dr. Feulner prior to utilizing for my surgery and all confirmed her expertise and satisfaction with her team. Would highly recommend. read more

Visited AEC for some follow up eye testing after my annual exam. The Dr gave me some sample eye drops ahead of filling a prescription and said I should call if I had any issues. I used the eye drops twice and had excruciating pain so I stopped and called the dr as instructed. I was told there was no one available to talk with me but someone would call me back by the end of the day. No call. Someone did call back the next day (Amanda ) and said the person the answered the first time should have never said I would be contacts by the close of business rather it is often up to 3 business days. I have been a patient here since I was a child and I am no longer a patient after today. My younger sister, who is a minor, had an appointment and to help my parents out and so she wouldn't be late I brought her. As soon as we walked in we were treated so rudely. I am a healthcare worker so I get it, COVID is frustrating, but you cannot take that out on your patients! I was rudely asked multiple times my age... I said, "I am 25 and she is 15 and your sign said minors need to have an adult with them." To which I got "are you sure you're 25?" They then took our temps and the front desk woman said, "well you better go cool off" what is that even suppose to mean??? Finally I get my sister signed in and started helping her fill out the paper work. After about 10 minutes of waiting we were called up again and told we need a letter stating I was allowed to bring her there. I said, "this is my sister and I've brought her to appointments before and no where on your covid rules does it states we need a letter. Also our mom is 5 minutes away." The woman said, "well if she isn't here within 5 minutes we have to reschedule". At this point I am annoyed because I got my sister there early and I was never asked my relationship to the patient or asked for an ID or anything... my sister and I are 10 years apart so I could be her mother, you can't assume things especially in healthcare. As my mother is walking in and before the 5 minutes were up we were told we MUST reschedule. I got her there almost 10 minutes early and y'all were so rude. You just lost our entire family as patients. read more

Dr. Whitney McConkey is professional and personable. She takes the necessary amount of time to test your eyes, explain any issues and treatment. I would highly recommend Dr. McConkey at Advanced Eye Care to anyone looking for a pleasant experience when going for an eye exam as the entire staff is the definition of "service with a smile". read more

I cannot say enough about the Advanced Eye Care practice. This was my second visit and I travel 84 miles to have my eyes examined. My local eye doctor messed up my prescription so bad that I could not see clearly so I came to Advanced. EVERYONE is fabulous from the interns to the doctors. They all care about your sight and want you to be seeing the best you can. I strongly recommend that you schedule your eye exam with Advanced Eye Care. After getting my glasses last year it was the first time in all the years of getting glasses that I saw clearly when I left. Kudos to Dr. Feulner, Dr. McConkey and all the staff!!!! Very very disappointed. I was canceled two months ago as a new patient. Scheduled another one and just got canceled again. So now they are trying to fit me in February, another two months. Should a new patient have to wait over 4 months to get in? Found someone new. Do not recommend this business. read more

When I called to make my daughter's appointment I had to wait a month to have her seen, I wasn't happy about it but that seems to be the norm. So I verified her insurance they confirmed they took it and I didn't hear back until 30 days later, at 4pm, the day before her appointment. Kaitlyn called to tell me that they didn't take my insurance and that if I wanted my daughter to see a doctor I was going to have to pay $130 tomorrow. They blamed the mistake on having "a new girl" and had no interest on fixing it. They lied to me and told me they take my insurance and then waited 30 days to call me back instead of calling back within a decent time frame so that I could schedule my daughter somewhere else. Go somewhere else, anywhere else, they will rip you off and not care about it. read more

I recently moved to the area and was experiencing very dry scratch eyes. While my prior Ophthalmologist had told me my eyes were dry, Dr Faulner was able to show me with test results that were both impressive and specific, and provide solutions that were key to resolving my problem. I Dr Faulner and her staff used equipment that many eye doctors do not have access to in their offices. Unlike the prior complaint about a long wait, I did not experience a long wait, and found the staff to be very helpful, friendly and professional. Went in for an emergency and was squeezed into the schedule same day. As a first time patient, was very impressed with the facility and staff. Dr. Feulner has great bedside manner and I felt very comfortable in her care. Also very much appreciate when an office stocks samples, there was a cabinet full of prescription drops. She picked up a potential problem and caught it early, so no more treatment is necessary. She pick up on my nervousness and put me at ease. ! I was recommended to go to her by another eye dr who I did not realize was her friend who also worked there . Ms. Feulner was the rudest person I have ever encountered . I had an eye procedure , she offered no explanation of what she was doing and literally yelled at me numerous times for touching my face . I was literally in shock . I have spoken to other eye drs and they agree , they are getting her clients who do not go there anymore . I have never returned . read more

I made an appointment with this place over a month and a half ago. I thought it was a long time to wait, but they had better reviews than most of the other eye care facilities. On the day of my appointment, I was 10 minutes late and they told me I would have to reschedule. Granted I was late, but the earliest they could reschedule for was 9/17/2019. I thought it was absolutely ridiculous!!! Had I arrived on time, I guarantee I would have been sitting in the waiting room for at least 10 or 15 minutes easily...if not more! The doctor is wonderful, very knowledgeable and cares about her patients. The wait time to see her is awful. I don't know if they over-book appointments or don't allow enough time between scheduling the next appointment. I have been going to this doctor a long time. One time, the staff must've gotten my chart mixed up, not sure, but I sat and watched people that came in after me been seen and leave. I sat there infuriated before I was finally told they had 'forgotten' about me! I was the last patient seen that day. This time, I went in for what should've been a 15 minutes appointment...tops. After 45 minutes of waiting, I left. As much as I love the doctor, I am going to go to another provider that can hopefully be more conscientious of my time. read more

Advanced Eye Care and Aesthetics is a wonderful, one stop shop for my eye care and skin care! I have been a happy new patient since this past summer. The staff is fun, happy and knowledgeable. I am able to have all my eye health issues checked here, my routine vision assessed, my Rx changed for glasses and I can stop in optical and order a new pair of glasses/sunglasses/contacts afterwards. The opticians were extremely helpful with narrowing down options for my face shape, hair/eye color! They even selected frames I wouldn't otherwise pick myself and I ended up going with one they chose for me. The optometrist I saw, Dr. McConkey, was knowledgeable, kind and thorough. I have had a few appointments on the aesthetics side as well including the initial complimentary consultation for my skin. Jenna, the esthetician, was very helpful in finding a skin care routine that fit my needs and budget. Donna, the nurse that does the botox/fillers, was gentle, quick and a miracle worker. She knew just how much and where to put the injections to enhance my natural look with out going over board.
