I called initially because The key of my jeep was worn down so much that it wouldn't turn in the ignition. And of course the dealership is closed on Sundays and isn't open until 7 AM Monday morning. We had a very old front door 3 lock system with handle that needed to be fixed or replaced. We texted photos to Joshua to see what he thought we should do. He texted us back with a possible hard to find replacement that cost around $400, but he said he would try to fix the old lock first before we spent that much to replace it. We also needed our 2 locks on the back door to be rekeyed. Well not only was he able to fix the old lock but he took all 4 locks apart, cleaned them, lubricated them, put them back together and rekeyed all of them with extra copies for our tenants, and the final cost was only $150. We also needed car keys and fobs for our old 2004 Buick. The programming of them took a while but Joshua was very patient and professional throughout the entire job. He was very polite and easy to work with. We can't thank him enough for all his hard work. Katz Locksmith is now in our Contacts for any further work to be done in the future. Somehow I locked myself out of my bedroom. It being a holiday, I was worried that I wouldn't be able to get a hold of a locksmith. I called at 8:10pm, someone answered right away, took down my info and told me the tech would be calling me back to confirm. Three minutes later I got a call from the tech to confirm my address and he told me he would be over in twenty minutes. Fifteen minutes later, Vince was at my door. He picked the lock open in about two minutes. Everything from my inquiry to the job being done took about thirty minutes. Katz keys had to come to my house on an emergency call. I had lost both sets of keys to my husband's truck and we were leaving in the truck on vacation that night. The key portion of my car's flip key broke and managed to get lost somewhere in my car. The fob still worked, but I was without a key. I called some other company and they quoted me a low price over the phone, but then added an extra $65 when they got there, with no explanation. Their guy took over an hour to arrive and the company was very unprofessional in they way they did business. When I told them I couldn't afford their new price, they tried to charge me for having the guy come out. So, I sent that guy home and called Katz for a quote and they quoted me the same low price. However, the price remained the same after they had finished the work and they didn't try to add on a bunch of hidden fees. Gabe and Don got to my house in about 30 minutes and finished making my keys in about 15 minutes. They were very professional and explained everything to me. They provided amazing customer service, AND they made me an extra key just in case one of them got lost again, free of charge. I have an electric car so my lost key was a hassle. These guys said they could replace it and strung me along with "it's coming" for a coupe of weeks. I finally asked if they could get the key or not, to which they asked if i could just get it and then they would program it. I called a locksmith back in orange county (california lock and key) instead and they had it done for me the next day.
