Public storage at send me a notice of claim saying I had 15 days to make the payment before the property was claimed and put up for auction. I paid the payment and late fee well within that deadline. However they took my property and disposed of it. I talked to the regional manager SAM PETERSON, he stated to me well "I can refund your payment" . What about my things. As I had items that I can not get back. They are totally wrong because I paid within the 15 day deadline and not even 30 days past due. So do not ever use this location.

The concern though is that I needed a unit with 40sq ft. I signed to pay for a 4'x10' and the unit is actually 3'x10'. I realized it was smaller when I was moving my items and it wasn't fitting as I expected. The property manager Jessica was super helpful when I was looking to rent a unit, yet was matter of fact when I raised the concern about the size of the unit. I asked her about the foot difference in the unit size and she said they have a disclosure that says unit dimensions vary. It's unfortunate that this business runs this kind of business. The unit should reflect that it's a 3'x10' instead of 4'x10'. I'm paying $83 a month for the 3'x10' and had to pay a $25 app fee. Thankfully, it's a month to month. I'm looking at other storage locations. Other places said units may vary an inch or two but not a whole foot. I advise measuring the unit you may rent to make sure it meets your needs since the listed sizes are inaccurate.

I called and of course, it went straight to voice mail. I tried talking to her through the glass but she kept making "no" motions. If it wasn't for the price hike, broken elevators, or exceptionally poor customer service, I probably would have stayed.

Climate control works and I never feel unsafe going here even at night knowing that I'm on camera and everything is gated. They have several different size units from ones you can fit RVs inside to the small ones with offices where you can run your small business they also have climate controlled and not climate controlled to meet your needs when I found them. They were the best price in the area and I randomly check to make sure that I'm not missing a deal somewhere else and they still continue to beat everyone in the area.

Apparently they have not done anything to update security nor taken precautions to ensure it doesn't happen again. If you rent here you're asking for your stuff to disappear. You have to enter a unique code to enter and leave the gate to access the property. They also have codes on the door to enter each building, as well as security cameras. How does this keep happening? Inside job maybe??

They continuously raise the rates at unreasonable increases - see my photo below. Despite the increases, basic maintenance is being completely ignored. Started at $184 7/2/2024 then $255 by 1/2/2025 and another increase to $329 by 6/2/2025 - that is almost 80% increase in less than 1 year! An increase of $145 a month in less than 1 year. Elevators are a constant issue--all three have been down at once, preventing access to my unit. Just today, 2 out of 3 elevators were down again. When I asked staff about it, I was told, "Can't make the elevator repair guy come here." They were down for nearly two weeks before. Temperature control has worsened--it's now hot and stuffy just walking through the building, which was never the case before. Exit signs hang by wires, lights are burned out or missing covers--it's clear corners are being cut while rent keeps climbing. The location is the only upside, but it's not worth the trade-off anymore. Talk to other renters before signing anything--they'll tell you the same. This facility has become a neglected, overpriced mess. Very disappointed in Public Storage.
