I decided to stop in at my convenience store/gas station to grab an orange juice before continuing my adventure home. I smartly thought, "I don't want to get my purse wet, I'll just leave it here." I grabbed my wallet and as I stepped into the store, remembered that I shouldn't have put my keys in my purse. I called AAA, but as it was 5:15pm on a Tuesday in a city that was rapidly turning into an extremely large bayou, the wait time was roughly three hours. Thankfully one of the owners was on the ball. This is a pretty handy gas station located right next to Memorial Park, and one which we use all the time. We were big fans of the gas station and I was going to give it four or five stars until recently, when a rather heavyset cashier got extremely rude about us using the bathroom. In fact she was so abrasive and insulting and confrontational that I would have given one star based on her. It averages out to 3 but they really need to have a word with her.

While walking to the restrooms, she mentioned for us to "keep it clean and not dirty it". I was confused because no one has ever told us that, ever. Me not really knowing how to respond to her said a firm voice, "we're NOT dirty people". I was really offended by that comment she made, and I think with my response it made her realize how offensive she came across. When we were walking out of the restroom, she tried to explain the meaning behind her comment. I didn't care to hear her explanation because the damage was already done. Not only that, the restrooms were filthy. The toilet paper was hard to roll out of a dispenser, and there were no paper towels at all. There was urine all over the toilet and in front of the toilet. So for her to make it known that she did not want us to dirty the restrooms, was unnecessary seeing as though they were already filthy! I wish I wouldn't have given them 100+ in gas and would have just gone to another station.
