This was my first time visiting Ms. Tamika and I enjoyed my experience! I used to get my eyebrows…read moredone at a salon near my home but after a few botched waxings, I knew it was time to find a new place. I saw BellaMe Wax & Lash on Yelp and wanted to give Ms. Tamika a try. I messaged through the yelp app and was able to get a same day appointment. Although I knew where the address was, I still got lost. I didn't realize that BellaMe was in a salon complex! It's next to Moneky Joes and the facility holds several independent beauty artists. Anyway, I found Ms. Tamika and she got to work on my eyebrows! I have super thick eyebrows that left unchecked, become furry caterpillars. But once done, they make my face! Ms. Tamika made my eyebrows look amazing!! I couldn't stop smiling at how good they looked! She took her time with angling, waxing, and trimming my eyebrows. Plus we talked the entire appointment and it wasn't awkward at all! Clearly y'all, she won me over! The studio space similar to the Pearland location was bright and beautiful with a contemporary design. The lobby had very comfortable lounge chairs and I was greeted by friendly staff. They smiled, welcomed me, answered my questions and helped me get registered before I was escorted to my private session by a licensed lash stylist. - Session Once I got into my suite, I was very comfortable on the cushioned massage table as the stylist briefly discussed what types of lashes I was getting before she started to work her magic. It took about 1 hour for her to get done and I definitely took a quick nap because it was so relaxing and after she was done she gave me a mirror to check out her work and I must say, those lashes were really amazing. They provided 4 style options of lashes and I chose the Gorgeous style. This style gave me longer, fuller and thicker eyelash extensions along my entire lash line. The extensions were also lightweight and comfortable so sometimes I forgot that I had them on. - Pros Long full thick lashes that bring out the beauty of your eyes and makes a statement Enhances your beauty and makes you feel confident Saves you time when getting ready for your day - Cons When the lashes eventually fall off, you will feel naked. You feel the need to never go a day without extensions If it's not applied or taken care of properly you may thin out your natural lashes. While scrolling through Yelp, I found this place. Their work looked beautiful, communication was easy, and I was able to get an appointment. I asked for a wispy wet set. I do feel like it's partly on me for not speaking up before I left, but I was running late for the wedding because the appointment took longer than I expected. I really wanted to love my lashes, but they weren't what I was hoping for. They felt very stiff, and it seemed like several extensions were stuck together. They poked my eyes when I blinked, looked clumped rather than wispy, and I couldn't brush through them to separate them. I even waited more than three days before getting them wet because I was worried about them, but many of the extensions still fell out without me rubbing or touching my eyes. At this point, I'm almost afraid to and I'm honestly embarrassed that I spent $130 just to feel like I look goofy on my birthday. I was really looking forward to feeling confident, and instead I feel self-conscious every time I look in the mirror and i feel like I have to hide them behind eyeliner. So I was a little nervous when calling to make my appointment. I walked in at my scheduled time and after meeting Mai...my fears were quickly put to rest. Mai really looked at my lashes, told me what she would be doing and got to work. She was so nice and made sure I was comfortable. The process was painless and my eyelashes looked great! I come back two weeks later for my fill and again...my lashes looked awesome. The following day I went to an appointment at different place for my eyebrows. The technician put pressure on the one eye which caused a few lashes to come out. So I contacted Dolled Up Studio to ask what charge would be to fill in just a few lashes on the one eye. They graciously offered to do it at no charge. Which was a pleasant surprise. I can't say enough good things about Dolled Up studio and especially Mai! Making an appointment was easy online and you get text confirmation almost right away. Mai is excellent! She does such quality work and genuinely wants you to be happy with the end result. The prices are reasonable too. The only negative thing I can say is their website still has their old location listed. That might need to be updated to avoid any confusion.

I started coming here regularly but slowly became unhappy with the service, every time something…read moresmall. So I found a new girl who would come to my home. The times she has gone on vacation I've come back, and every time I regret it. I needed a one week fill. Instead of charging me for a one week fill with foreign lash fee, they charged me for a 6 week fill!! Even the tech told me that wasn't right.. The second time I came back the tech was struggling, it felt like she spent more time ungluing my lashes from the pad then actually doing my lashes. When I got home, I noticed she had CUT a third of my bottom lashes because she didn't cover them with the pad correctly. And the last time, I was told I didn't have an appointment, when I showed the tech my text confirmation she said the tech is on her way she was over 30 minutes late and finished a full set in about 40 minutes. I had showed the tech a picture from THEIR yelp page of what I wanted and my lashes looked nothing like it. Then she said "let me check your profile" because my biggest complaint was the length. She used 14/15s when I get 19/20s.. and she said oh ,ok. So she tried to add longer lashes in, four times she took off the pads thinking she was done but I kept saying they are too short and look nothing like the picture. I finally gave up. She glued lashes on top of lashes so now I have thick clumps of glue along my lash line that are too heavy for my lashes. The longer lashes look messy and out of place. I reached out via email thre days later to get this rectified but I haven't received a response.

After my appointment, my lashes felt damaged, almost burned. When I later saw my regular technician in Washington, she confirmed there was noticeable damage and advised me to let my lashes recover for a few months. It was an upsetting experience, and I didn't get a lash lift again for quite some time. I hope things have improved since then, but I wanted to share. I'm glad to hear the improvements you've made since then, and I truly hope others are having much better experiences now.
