I just wanted to let you guys know that Courtney chopped off all my hair without my consent back in 2022 and then had the audacity to tell me my reaction wasn't OK when all I did was cry and Express how I never consented to that, i'm positive my ex friend paid her off or told her to cut it that short regardless as a professional why would you do that? It's still doesn't sit right with me till this day. Her excuse was "I thought we were cutting from the shortest layer" after I asked her for a layered haircut, That's really big to get mixed up and I don't want happening to anyone else. Book with her at ur own risk, I will say she's a great colorist, but horrible with communication, attitude, and cutting hair. After some deep diving, it turns out a lot of the hairstylist have cut hair way too short without people's consent. I do have wavy curls that go in different directions, which is why I wanted someone with more experience. They made an appointment for a cut right after the consult. The four photos are 1) what I wanted, 2) the pre-cut side, 3) pre-cut front, and 4) the "master" cut. Complaints: She split her time between 4 clients at once, so was always leaving in the middle of cutting and seemingly forgetting what she had started, even WITH the photo I had. With the staccato stop and starts, it took longer than necessary. She charged me a whopping $125 for a cut that is not that difficult!!! It was a shock when I got to the register, but she was already gone to her multitude of simultaneous clients. I also bought a $16 travel size bottle of dryspun texture spray she recommended as I will be traveling for 3 weeks. The problem? The tip I added for the cut was also applied to the spray bottle, but I did not know until I got the emailed receipt as they would not give me a printed receipt!!! Frankly, I looked better going into the salon than leaving. The total damage was over $168!!!! There was no coloring, no extensions, and no great "master" cut! Although everyone was quite friendly, I will not be returning. It was robbery to charge that amount for the cut and service I got. The best part of the experience was her assistant who washed my hair.

There was a small dog in the salon that had apparently peed on the couch in the waiting area earlier in the day. No one mentioned this when I arrived, and I ended up sitting on that couch for about 30 minutes. When I later brought it up, the dog's owner mentioned that her husband had cleaned the spot with Lysol earlier in the day. However, my pants still smelled like pee afterward, which was really uncomfortable and embarrassing. The apology also felt pretty insincere, which made the situation even more frustrating. I completely understand that accidents can happen with pets, but I do think it's the owner's responsibility to make sure guests are aware of something like that -- or to make sure the area is fully cleaned or blocked off before someone sits there. It would have been very easy to simply warn me. Lena was fantastic and did a beautiful job with my blowout! I do hope the salon handles situations with the dog more responsibly in the future.
