I was not feeling well at all for the second day due to magnetic storms affecting me and still decided to stop by and check the new salon recently opened at our North Via Paseo Del Sur location in Scottsdale. I found Lisa on Yelp and booked an appointment which was easy through the Yelp app. My usual stylist is in SoCal area and I haven't had time to fly back to see him so I went to Lisa and I'm so glad I did! I didn't have any photos of what I wanted because I wasn't exactly sure - but I just talked to her - things I liked/hoped for (lighter, brighter hair), shorter, but not too short, stands out a little but not too dramatic, etc. She was awesome in figuring me out and I love my hair! If you're looking for balayage or subtle coloring (aka not streaky highlights) - visit Lisa! She's really great, easy to talk to and very patient! I have been on the hunt for an A+++ hair colorist and stylist in Arizona now for about 2 years. The universe sent me Lisa Von Kurvink and I couldn't be more pleased. They say the third time is always a charm and I would have to agree that it definitely is! Usually when you go to a stylist they either specialize in color or cut. What an amazing experience. I am so hesitant to do anything with my hair, because it rarely feels like "me" when I leave. I started coloring my brownish/auburn hair copper-red a couple of years ago at another salon and I loved it, but was ready to go back to natural to slowly embrace my greys! I was settling in for a long couple of years to slog back to natural and I found Lisa online. I'm very nervous and uncomfortable in salons trying to explain what I want and she was so patient and attentive. She is magic with hair.
