She took my photos and believed me when I told her about my dental problems. I haven't been to the dentist in 6 years. Partially because I'm busy, partially because I don't have many teeth issues, and partially because I'm not a fan of going to the dentist. I've seen the office just driving by and because I live in the area. I finally had a lull in my schedule at work and they were able to get me in the next day. I had such a great experience here! The staff is so incredibly sweet and so is Dr. Frazar! Stephen (I hope I have her name right, she's seriously the best!) took me in asked a bunch of questions and explained everything very thoroughly. I really feel like they are more than just about your teeth, but your overall health and how your mouth fits in and connects to everything. The technology in the office is great! It's awesome because they have the ability to be very visual and show you everything they see and walk you through it. I completely appreciate that they take their time and it doesn't feel at all like they are trying to hurry you out! As for the comments to the day spa-ish, it kind of is, but its wonderful (it makes it more comfy and less like a stale dentists office)! As someone who works in the construction/architecture industry I have an appreciation for interior design, & the office is beautifully done (imo). Dropping my review because I think it is INSANE that the doctor would look me up and respond to me here...or at all. This will make people think twice about honest reviews knowing the doctor will look you up and call you out for not reading your handouts. And I am sure she knows it. She is getting mixed reviews for very good reasons, she needs to suck it up and take it. I fully understood the policies. What I didn't understand was why they kept adding new appointments that cost more money...hold on, it was to make more money! I get it. They treat you like an open pocket book...some of their patients are. I am not. It was a total and complete rip off. They sent the person who referred me a $75 gift. Ummmm...really? Come on! I discovered Dr. Frazar while looking for a second opinion for a veneer I wanted to get on one tooth. The tooth had been terribly crooked (it grew in sideways and slightly behind another tooth) and I had always been self conscious about it. My regular dentist said we could do a Lumineer, but that would cost about $1200 + $250 for ZOOM whitening. NATURALLY, I decided to look for another dentist to give me a second opinion. When I got to the office for my (free) consultation, there was a sign in the elevator apologizing for the remodeling that was going on. The door opened and the place looked like a freakin' SPA. The decor was beautifully done and there were snacks and cold water and juice in the cute sitting area. I was greeted warmly and was taken into a consult room where I had pictures taken of my profile, as well as had thorough pictures taken of my teeth (seriously, every nook and cranny of my mouth was documented). Dr. Frazar came in and talked about my options (a Lumineer, dental bonding, and Invisalign) and we decided that the best option for me was to do bonding for now (since it was in my budget) and get my entire teeth done at a later date. I called them back 2 weeks later to schedule an appointment to get the bonding done and could be seen the next day. I was taken to my room and was offered a blanket and headphones (Bose, BTW) to watch TV, AND a remote that controlled my massage chair. The bonding was painless and lasted about 30 minutes. Dr. Frazar took great care making sure my bite wouldn't be interrupted by the bonding and made sure that the color of the bond looked natural and matched my other teeth. As soon as she was finished, she showed me and I started tearing up. I have lived with this crooked tooth since college and it was such a relief to know that I could smile confidently again. I can't speak for the other reviewers that gave her one star, but maybe the have taken measures to greatly improve their service. I was certainly impressed. read more

As someone who HATES the dentist because of childhood experiences finding Dr Frazar and her team was a dream come true. There is nothing like feeling and looking like the plane is going down while in the chair because that was me! Dr Frazar's office completely turned that around for me... Not only did the they make me feel comfortable but everything was explained to me so I could understand. They took the time to make sure I knew exactly was going on which made it less stressful. From the moment I walked in the door they talk to me like I was a close friend and made me feel like I am the only person there. I highly recommend this office! I can't say enough about Dr. Kathy Frazar, her entire staff, and the facilities! I love their passion, cheerfulness, and the individual care that they give to their patients. It truly is a breath of fresh air! Dr. Frazar is a graduate of the University of Texas Dental School and the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. One visit to her office and you'll immediately know that she is at the forefront of the latest technologies for dental care. She and her staff really do want everyone to have a beautiful smile. As if she and her team weren't enough, her office is like a spa. It is not like a typical dentist and doesn't have the smell of a typical dentists office. So instead of the horrid smell associated with most dentist offices, hers smells of freshly baked cookies which are baked every day and are available in the waiting room. Now some would say she is trying to convince people to eat the cookies so that they'll develop cavities and in turn need to spend more money on her services, but let's face it, we all have sweets and sodas (or other things that aren't great for our teeth). I personally wouldn't eat cookies before my dentist appointment, but I love the smell that they bring to the office. The smell of a normal dentists office will bring on an instant anxiety attack, therefore I refuse to step foot into any dentist office that has the terrifying smell. Besides the cozy smell of freshly baked cookies, her office is modern, bright, and trendy. All the work is done in private rooms which are equipped with chairs that have tempurpedic cushions, and of course flat screen TVs with numerous channels to choose from. You can also opt to listen to your favorite music. For $120 you can get your teeth cleaned and a free hand paraffin wax while you are being worked on. It will have your cuticles looking awesome for days. I honestly believe I have found my dental home, and it is one that I actually look forward to going to. I highly recommend Dr. Frazar to everyone, but particularly those who are afraid to go to the dentist. One visit to her and you'll never fear again. read more

I would like to preface this review with the fact that I posted it on the dentists' website but it is not there, I suspect because it was less than glowing. That said, here is the review I posted there: My long time dentist passed away suddenly so I was forced to find another dentist very quickly when I broke a tooth. The Houston Dentists were recommended to me so I went there. The tooth could not be repaired so I needed an implant. The Houston Dentists say that they do implants on their website but THEY DO NOT DO IMPLANTS. They bring in a periodontist to do the procedure. I was OK with that until it came to my attention (after the procedure and I had already paid) that the Houston Dentists raise the price on the procedure so that THEY can make some money. As it turned out the price I paid was approximately $675.00 more than if they had referred to me to the periodontist for the procedure in his office. I feel very disillusioned by this experience and needless to say do not feel I can return to their office for my dental work. I feel very disillusioned by this experience. I feel that, since dental implants are a totally out of pocket expense for the patient which can be quite a financial hardship for most people, a referral directly to the periodontist would have been in order because it would have kept the cost for the same service from the same provider lower rather than charging more so that they could make $675.00 off of my misfortune. read more

Kathy and the whole team are fantastic!!! Too bad I can't give them 10 starts! I had to get a crown today, and I arrived for my appointment with a little intrepidation as I'm sure we all do. I arrived right on time and there was no wait, I was whisked back to a lovely room where they gave me a blanket to keep me warm in the cool office and talked me through what was happening that day. It was completely painless and during the 1st hour of drilling she had me bite down on some contraption, versus pull my mouth open as wide as I could so your jaw hurts all day. We've all been there and t's terrible, this was the first time I was told to relax they did all the work. AMAZING!!! THANK YOU!!!! By 9am I was watching a movie on the big screen TV (one that they let me pick on netflix) waiting for my crown to set. That's right! All in the same day! She also offered to let me work on my computer, nap, read. It was time to myself and I was in heaven wrapped up in a cozy blanket :) By 10:30 I had my new crown and was on my way to work. I was only numb for about 2 hours and I was able to eat at lunch with no pain. Kathy is a genius! They are so nice and everyone is very welcoming If you want the latest in dental care Kathy's the woman to see. She doesn't just fix the problem, but she also helps you prevent it from happening again! I finally have a dentist for life that I can trust and look forward to seeing. I also like that she sends you a text two days before your appointment as a reminder. Perfect for me as I'm always moving my schedule around and work is so hectic, it's great to be reminded without another email in my inbox. I also had my teeth cleaning a few weeks ago by Stefan. She was so sweet and funt o talk to, she felt like a friend I had known for years giving me ideas for my wedding and asking about work. Stefan and Kathy walked me through all the images, told me what I need to watch for, and what looks good. In the past, the doctor usually just pops his head in at the end and says 2 words to you, not Kathy. She is with you all the way checking in on you, finding out what's new, how the cleaning is doing, any pain. She's in it with you! I first walked into Dr. Frazar's office in October 2006. I have had dark, crooked teeth my entire adult life. My gums were terribly receeded, and my front tooth had been injured several years before, and was especially dark and was starting to become loose. I wanted Dr. Frazar to put veneers on my top front teeth so I would not be ashamed to smile at my son's college graduation in December. I was very disappointed at the time, but Dr. Frazar explained to me that we would first have to bring my mouth back to good health, and that for me, a quick cosmetic fix was not appropriate. Over the next several months, I had many visits with Dr. Frazar and also with the periodontist in her office before finally getting my new smile. I did not get to smile for the graduation, but now, almost 10 years later, I am so thankful that Dr. Frazar took the time to do things the right way. I'm 55+ years old and I have a beautiful, white, healthy smile - people ask me all the time who my dentist is. I no longer live in Houston, so I don't see her on a regular basis now. I recently had a little issue, and decided it would be worth a trip back since it involved one of my front teeth, and didn't want to take the chance of ruining my beautiful smile. Dr. Frazar happened to be on vacation that week, but her staff contacted her,and she even offered to come in the next day to see me. I didn't take her up on the offer, but I was amazed that a dentist I hadn't seen in 5 years even offered to do that. It just shows how dedicated she is to her patients. I'll have to admit, when I went for my initial visit and was told how much all of the work would cost, it was more than I thought it would be. I went home and really had to think about it. I am so glad I decided to invest in my smile and that I chose this dentist. It has been life changing and it's the best thing I have ever done for myself. I use a lot of holistic methods for my health and Dr. Frazar 100% supports me and offers great alternatives for me to feel comfortable with while assessing my dental options. We moved to Houston in 2005 and finding a dentist that we liked and went to repeatedly was very difficult to find. My husband found this practice based on years of experience and I signed up to try it out (at least once). I LOVE the office, it feels like spa. I LOVE the staff, especially Cody who is ALWAYS helpful and friendly, and of course my hygienist Stefan (i hope I spelled her name correctly). Dr Frazar always explains anything out of the ordinary, my options for correction, and then the folks at the front research what my insurance will cover. I never have any surprises and any and all decisions are made by me, without any specific pressure. Yes you have to pay out of your pocket up front, which can be tough, but they timely file your insurance claim and receive reimbursement within a short period of time. Have I mentioned that i drive about an hour for my appointments? That is how much I really like Dr. Frazar and her office. read more
