This morning, my daughter was there first time and was late. The person at the desk was a bit rude. She had to reschedule in May. It was not a good experience for my daughter. granted we need to be 15 mins early, but should have took the extra step and take her in since it was her first experience at the OBG. Awful. First it took me 3 months to get an appt for my annual. Finally get my appt and because I didn't show up 30 MINUTES before they asked me to leave and reschedule. Horrible medical service. I have never. Months to schedule this and they didn't even care, went about their day. Why do I need to be there 30 min before?? read more

Dr Anger did not listen or even act like she was listening. No follow up when there should have been. She appeared to be in a hurry and made me feel unwelcome. Front desk staff were not welcoming or friendly. In fact, they were straight up rude. I will not be returning to this angry doctor nor will I recommend her to anyone. read more

Dr. Anger delivered our 3rd child at Round Rock hospital and did fine, but my wife has been trying to pay the bill for one month now. Our son just received his two month shots and we cannot pay the bill. I guess we'll just wait for collections. We won't be using Dr. Anger in the future and you shouldn't either if you like your credit score. read more

I delivered my second born with Dr. Anger. She was fine but she never acknowledged my husband ever. The real problem was the way she handled my miscarriage. I feel like people need to be warned. She was very cold and the day it was confirmed she was telling me I should go see a fertility specialist since I had a chemical pregnancy 6 months before. She never tried anything to help me conceive even though I had fertility issues I was aware of in the past (PCOS). Her timing was terrible and really didn't offer any time of comfort or concern. She also orders unnecessary tests that charge all these hidden fees. If you want to talk to the billing department it takes about 3 weeks of them not returning my calls and messages. She ordered about 4 ultrasounds but never once explained them or what could have caused the miscarriage or any other helpful or comforting information. She also never remembered me at all and seemed to forget all about my past medical history even though I had to come in every other week. I have since changed to a new OBGYN called Austin Area OBGYN at St. David's North Austin. It is so much better and you are treated like a human not a paycheck. Also I would like to mention that I am a Postpartum Registered Nurse so I have more than the average knowledge of obstetrics. read more

Be prepared if you pay out of pocket they will hit you with hidden fees after you leave your appointment. I do not have insurance and explained I wanted to pay in full the day of the appointment. They had me pay at the start of the appointment, after paying the front desk advised I go pee in a cup "just incase the doctor needs it". This was not explained to me that was not already included into the billing. On top of that I was hit with an additional $88 for extended time with the doctor when I wasn't with Dr. Anger for more than 20 minutes. Another fee I was not informed of. At check out I asked if I was all paid up and the front desk said I was good to go. To get hit with another bill after everything is said and done is just another medical industry scam. Rip off insurance companies all you want but take a little time to care about a client who has to pay out of pocket because of limited income. read more

READ THIS if you are thinking about Dr. Anger as your new OBGYN Doctor. She almost KILLED me. NO JOKE!!! First off: Whenever my husband and I went to see her she hardly even acknowledge my husband was even there. This was always something that bothered us. Also, it always felt like she was in a rush to get out of there and get on to her next patient. But my BIG ISSUE (Here's where she ALMOST KILLED ME): My husband and I had been planning on trying to get pregnant and when we did we had the misfortune to have a miscarriage. While I know that miscarriages are very common, what happened to me next was NOT. I had the choice to do the vaginal pills or having a D&C (to help complete the miscarriage) and chose to do the vaginal pills because she said both were equal in pros and cons. So, I went home, did the vaginal pills myself and waited for it to happen but nothing did. The next day I called their office and she said she wanted to try the vaginal pills one more time. Again, this time she put the vaginal pills in and then I again went home and waited for something to happen, but NOTHING did. I have worked in the medical field for 13+ years and know what should happen and what to expect. Dr. Anger also knows this. I saw her the next day, and first they do a ultrasound to see if its till there. Well, me and the ultrasound tech both saw it was still there. I also then TOLD Dr. Anger that it didn't worked, but she insisted it was just some left over blood and it had in fact actually worked. I told her NOTHING came out, but again she felt that it was complete. WELL, 4 WEEKS later.... I had a stabbing throbbing pain in my abdomen at around 10 at night. That whole night I was basically in the fetal position in absolute intense pain. I called Dr. Angers office the next morning and asked if this could be at all related to the pain and was told NO, but to call my primary care physician if it continued. Thank God my husband wasn't happy with that answer and we went to see my primary doctors office. Well, they saw me and thought maybe it could be my appendix, but were unsure and wanted me to have some more testing done so they sent me to a small urgent care clinic. At the urgent care clinic they did a pelvic exam and a Ct scan. By around 6 that evening, I was told i had a fever of around 103 and my uterus was inflamed. I had SEPSIS of my UTERUS. I was then sent to Round Rock hospital were, 4 WEEKS after my miscarriage, I had to again go the the emotional and physical pain of THE SAME miscarriage. They then did a D&C on me and I was in the hospital on IV antibiotics for 5 DAYS!!!!! Not only did this make me have to relive having the miscarriage again, but my husband and I now have THOUSANDS of DOLLARS in HOSPITAL BILLS BECAUSE OF THIS. ALL of which could have be AVOIDED if DR. ANGER had LISTENED TO ME! One of the worst parts was she never even apologized. I don't normally write reviews, but I am writing this in hopes that this never happens to you. This was a very traumatizing event and REALLY REALLY SHOULD NEVER HAVE HAPPENED. Doctor need to be accountable for their actions. Update: I now have a new doctor, whom I LOVE. She takes time to talk to me and MY HUSBAND, takes time to really explain and listen to any concerns we have, and goes the extra mile in trying to put our mind at ease. SHORT VERSION: Rude Staff. Doctor not really interested in your opinion. Will not offer IUDs to most women. Constantly incorrect billing and poor organization. LONG wait times. Why oh WHY did I even give them a second chance? I saw Dr. Anger last year on my first visit, and while she was friendly, I didn't feel that she listened to me at all. I was very set on getting some NON-hormonal birth control in addition to my yearly exam, and in spite of my bad history with hormones, she disregarded my opinions, spent very little time with me, and then wrote me a prescription for Yaz (a HORMONAL pill that has been once again ripped off the market). She was also adamant that I had an ultrasound completed when it was completely unnecessary. The staff is RUDE! Rude, rude, rude. I cannot emphasize this enough. Long wait times, bad attitudes, poor organization. They mi scheduled me twice, so I never did get my ultrasound. They never released the results of my exam either. The second time I was stupid enough to try again, I was given the run around about an IUD and all the myriad of reasons I couldn't have one. They wanted me to come in for ANOTHER exam and another ultrasound. Surprise! I make an appointment to get it out of the way (really want that non-hormonal IUD) even though they were very resistant to even talk about it with me. It should be noted that Gynos do not make hardly any $$$ off IUDs because the product itself is so expensive. I firmly believe this was part of the reason Dr. Anger and her staff were resistant to discuss this with me. I made an appointment friday afternoon, they send me FOUR text message reminders ALL WITH DIFFERENT TIMES!! Naturally, when I call to confirm what time out of the four they sent they wanted me in, no one picks up. I call the MINUTE their office opens on Monday morning, and guess what? They said I should have been there already. Although I was really frustrated at missing my ultrasound thanks to the lack of organization and communication (completely their fault), I said I could still make the other appointment with the doctor no problem. They said NOPE and asked that I reschedule. AGAIN. THEN THEY SENT ME A BILL WITH A NO SHOW FEE! So now I have to pay $25 for a f%#^ing no show fee because of their lack or organization, to see a doctor who doesn't listen to me, them pay another $25 to get MY OWN RECORDS released to me. I was transferred to her when my regular office closed. She listened to my problems then ordered a blood test and ultra sound. I was just in for normal check up about 5 months earlier with no problems. She didn't bother to do a quick scan of my chart before or during my appointment. Shouldn't be long since I don't have that many problems. Offered no insight to problem or temporary solution to an issue she should have knowledge about. I went to check out and they couldn't get me in for an ultra sound for another 1.5 weeks then wanted to schedule the follow up appointment. I told them I came in for a problem and couldn't put it off for another 2 weeks. I offered to get the ultra sound at ARA so we could schedule sooner and told no. They ended up getting me in the next week. I go in for my follow up and she starts in ranting about how many abnormalities are in my bloodwork before confirming what I already knew. Of course this new information had me slightly concerned, but from the abnormalities she had blurted out they were mostly explainable. Example: extremely high B12. I drank 5-hour energies(regular strength) instead of coffee in the morning. As far as I knew, B12 was water soluble and lost through urine if you have too much. Ok so maybe I need to stop drinking those.... anyway, she then offers a solution I can't take. When I tell her I can't medically take that solution, she says "well if your symptoms are not too much to handle then". I knew there were other solutions. It may take a little more bloodwork or determination, but there are other solutions. Thank god I had made the decision to switch after my first visit and went to a knowledgeable doctor who could help me. Both visits with her I left the office wanting to cry. Side note: Thyroid is routinely examined by her profession, but she didn't even bother to do that when my bloodwork showed some concern there. I guess if you can guarantee no problems outside of being well she may be the one for you. I think someone already said she stated "they are a wellness center". read more

Dr. Anger attempted to deliver my baby in 2012. She was so weak she could not deliver my baby and had to have another doctor come in to finish the terrible job she started. Her lack of efficiency and experience caused me to have a 4th degree tear and my daughter came out blue because she was not fast enough. She stitched up my 4th degree tear and never made sure I had a BM before I left the hospital which resulted in me tearing my stitches 2 days after I left the hospital. There was decaying tissue coming out where the stitches were because she didn't irrigate the area after birth. I had to have a repair surgery instead of being at home healing with my new baby. I fully believe I could have had a normal birthing experience if I had a different doctor. read more

I went to see Dr Anger twice. I was having some pain I was concerned about. She didn't even really look and just swabbed me for some tests. When they came back negative, I tried to reach back out for next steps. Once again she just really didn't appear to care very much. Basically I went to her several times over the course of the for depo shots and we talked about the plan we had for getting pregnant. She introduced herself every time and said it was nice to meet me. Dr. Anger is awesome. She makes you feel comfortable, answers all your questions thoroughly, and really is just down to earth. I've never waited too long either. The office is very accommodating - I called today with a question about my birth control and Dr. Anger was not in. They offered her nurse, and she called me back within a couple hours with an informed answer, but wanted to set an appt for Monday with Dr. Anger. I could not have been more pleased! She was fine but not really answering anything concerning my health questions. It was almost as if they were not a concern. Maybe she doesn't have enough experience or just was going through the motions because she just took a smear and then gave me papers to get cholesterol blood work and I asked why and does to have anything to do with my concerns and she just said that they were a wellness center. Then said to get a colonoscopy down the street and the front desk on the at our wanted to k e sure that I gave them credit for the referral. I don't really mind the referral thing but it had nothing to do with my concerns. So I am seeking a doctor that is not "meh, I've experienced better". read more

Do not go to Dr. Anger ever! She is awful. I had eclampsia which turned into HELLP syndrome and she never saw the signs. I had to have an emergency csection at 32 weeks pregnant. Months before my delivery I had severe swelling and my blood pressure was slowly rising. I would complain about the swelling at each visit but she told me it was normal and offered to prescribe me compression socks. The night I delivered my husband rushed me to the hospital and 15 minutes after my arrival I had a seizure and bit a chunk out of my tongue. My blood pressure was in the 200's, I had liver and kidney failure, and my blood wouldn't clot. I was in ICU for 6 days and in the hospital for a total of 9. My baby was in the NICU for a month. I wasn't even allowed to see my baby for the first 5 days because I was too critical to leave my hospital room. I had a large hematoma that formed under my csection that later had to be removed with a second surgery after my body had time to recover. She only came to check on me in the hospital a couple of times and now completely ignores me when she sees me around. The sad thing is that I had an appointment with Dr. Anger on Friday and was rushed to the hospital on Monday. It has almost been a month and a half since all of this occurred and I still am trying to recover from two surgeries and care for a premature baby. The Chief of Staff at the hospital visited me in ICU and informed me that all of this could have been prevented. All of the signs were there. We were very lucky that my baby and I survived this. Unfortunately the compression socks were not the answer to my problems. read more

The worst experience I have ever had with a Doctor. She did not take notes of pain I was experiencing and after the lab test was returned, I received a call from the Dr's nurse to advise everything is OK and no cancer was found. I asked about the pain and the nurse had no notes regarding the pain and asked if I wanted to make an appointment to come back and talk to the Dr. No, I do not want to pay for another office visit to tell the Dr AGAIN the same thing I did a week ago. She never did address my issue of pain. She is an typical Dr that will take a swab from you send it off to a lab and give you lab results. She was not interested in discussing my health issues with me. She wanted me to go get some blood work and gave me a piece of paper for blood work. She mention they were down the road from the office. No address or information on the bloodwork paper. I had to drive home 15 miles to look up the information for the bloodwork center then drive back 15 miles for bloodwork. Same as the diagnoses - VAGUE. She was rude and unhelpful. I have had a good experience at Dr. Anger at Cornerstone OBGyn so far. I can mainly speak to the GYN part and not really the OB yet, but hopefully in the near future. I'm surprised of the negative reviews. I have found the staff to be pleasant and courteous. They have made efforts to save me money by making sure I didn't schedule my annual too soon to make sure insurance would cover it. The initial appointment took a while to get in, but after that, I have been able to get same-day appointments. I see Dr. Anger and she is efficient and friendly. She answers all my questions, and I appreciate how accessible her nursing assistants are. Dr. Anger had the insight to do a rare test that helped to identity a part of the chronic issues that I have, and now they are under control. The staff has had some trouble drawing my blood, but I've always been a hard stick. They also have a blood draw service located down the street from them, so it's not too much of an issue. read more
