Where do I begin? I would give zero stars if I could. I went to Dr. Pagete due to having a fibroid…read moreI wished to have removed. I also had a LOT of symptoms. When I explained my symptoms I don't think she listened very much. I then had a hysteroscopy to remove my fibroid. The day after I went to the ER and much to much surprise, the fibroid was still there, alone with a cyst. I went to see her six weeks later and told her about my excessive bleeding, the fact that my uterus seemed to have tilted overnight, and of course my fibroid the exact same size. She brushed off ALL of my symptoms (and did not respond to my questions on the patient portal) and refused to do a sonogram to look at the fibroid again. She said she'd look at it three months later, when I think she would have blamed it growing back on time and not her surgery error. She also, without even looking at my cyst, said it was nothing. Fast forward to two months later when I go to the ER in extreme pain. I still have my giant fibroid and that cyst they think twisted but untwisted. I finally got see a credible doctor, and he tells me the type of fibroid I have cannot be surgically removed with a hysteroscopy. He said even the best surgeon can't because it's intramural with a slight submucosal bulge. He said she managed to shave 2 cm off one side, but I still had a 5x6x4 fibroid. He also said she wasted my money attempting that surgery and she should have known that, that fibroid could not be removed and shaving one side down would give no relief of symptoms. Also, the cyst she said was nothing, was now 5 cm too. So I essentially have a cantaloupe in me. My awesome new doctor preformed a Da Vince surgery and low and behold, I had endometriosis so bad my uterus was fused to my colon and he almost had to remove part of my colon. He said that's why my uterus tilted and she shouldn't have ignored me when I mentioned it. Second, I had stage 4 endometriosis which explains all my other symptoms she ignored. Third, my ovarian cyst was so bad my ovary and fallopian tube had to be removed. The doctor said it was a mess in there. That's the cyst she said was nothing. And everything else she said was nothing. Not to mention I wasted $5000 on a surgery that couldn't even help me to begin with. I considered a medical malpractice suit but after all that I just don't have the energy. I had a follow up appointment with her that I cancelled via voicemail, and she sent me a bill for a no show fee that's illegal. I cancelled with plenty of time it's not my fault they don't check the voicemail. So no, she will not be getting that money, especially since I had to have a second surgery two months later before I died of blood loss.

When faced with the need to take care of my gynecology needs, I did the old fashioned thing, that is, I asked ladies I know who they would suggest. Amazingly, in one day, two friends both recommended Dr. Jonathan Buten. Both had very impressive recommendations. When I went to my own primary care physician, I was very happy to learn that Dr. Buten was also one of her recommended physicians. A little over 8 months later, I've been through a great deal of events with Dr. Buten, ranging from basic checkup, diagnostic testing, to most recently, major surgery and I feel it is important to place my artifact into this digital format to share with others who face similar daunting decisions. Dr. Buten is personable, and interacted with me in a warm and caring manner. He is very thorough in every aspect of his work. He used technology to show me what was going on with my "innards" and explained the options. He listened to my questions, gave thoughtful answers, and I always felt that we were a team working towards my best outcome. Additionally, the staff is helpful and friendly. Star is a welcoing first point of contact for the office. When faced with making the decision for gynecological care, I highly encourage you to see Dr. Buten.

Dr. Buten was very specific in explaining risk factors, citing research, and statisics to allow me to make a very informed decision. The surgery was virtually painless (laparascopic hysterectomy and oophrectomy). I was mildly sore for a day, back to mild exercise in 2 days, and full activity in 5 days. Dr. Buten is very personable, sharing casual personal conversation, and he respected my opinions and concerns. He definitely met my high standards when I half-joked that he could come release me from the hospital before he went to his office, rather than waiting until noon...and he did!

If convenience is the only reason you're considering this office, save yourself the distress and go elsewhere. You shouldn't have to beg for healthcare especially when you're paying an expensive amount for it . Messages through the portal are ignored, calls are hung up on, and voicemails vanish into a black hole. I've seen patients in the waiting room crying and bleeding for hours with no one helping them. Routine appointments often run over an hour behind. If you book a 30-minute slot, block off at least two hours of your day. The nurses themselves are kind and good at their appt but the front desk and communication practices make accessing care a nightmare. Even for simple questions or referrals, you're forced into another full appointment with Dr Rush where yes- you get to spend a few more hours at the clinic begging for help! And Don't even get me started on the lab inside this clinic. You need one thing checked like iron? They will draw 7 tubes for everything and ask you inappropriate questions while they do so! Never again- i actually didn't even go back for my follow up lab work bc i don't care to be an example of sunk cost fallacy which is how i explain this clinic. When you get your labwork done they won't even share you the results without a headache. after leaving this clinic for good, i feel such a relief. You don't realize how awful it is until you find any other normal clinic or hospital.

They had no appointments for months out. So I came to this location instead. I also chose to see a nurse practitioner instead of seeing a doctor. I really liked her I thought she was extremely helpful. I've been anemic for over 10 years and none of the doctors I ever saw at ARC round rock have ever done anything to help me. But this doctor was able to get me a some iron transfusions and seen by a hematologist which I feel really help me feel a lot better. Will definitely not go back to the round rock location. Parking is pretty easy here, but the check-in process can be a little tedious. You have to check in on the first floor and then take an elevator to go to the second floor. which I think is a little chaotic.

I had a minor procedure done (in August 2025) to relieve itching on a hypertrophic scar, and when I got my EOB, I found that it had been processed as "cosmetic." Because of this, insurance didn't pay for it. I assumed ARC would realize a mistake had been made and resubmit, but they did not. I contacted them when I got the bill, and got sent around and around in circles with various people who seemed very confused. I had to explain to them that I, as the patient, could not submit my own medical records or my own letter of medical necessity, and they needed to do that. After weeks of futile calling and messaging, I finally got a message from someone named Annette M. She said the letter of medical necessity was being sent. This was in October 2025. However, I never saw any indication that the claim had been reprocessed, and ARC kept sending me messages about my outstanding balance. I've sent several messages since then, with no replies. I contacted my insurance company yesterday, and received a reply today saying that they have no record of a letter of medical necessity being sent. The one that was allegedly sent six months ago. I expect that nobody at ARC will ever take responsibility for this, and they will simply continue to send me messages about the money that I "owe" them due to their own incompetence. edit: I finally received a reply today from someone named Natasha, claiming that the letter of medical necessity was sent, and insurance continues to deny. Do they think I don't know how to contact my insurance company and won't know they're lying? edit: still no reply to any of my messages telling them that I know the insurance company never got the letter of medical necessity, and that includes the message I sent with the contact form as recommended by the person who replied to my review. Literally nobody at ARC actually cares.
