Located downtown Davis with plenty of street parking. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Small entrance almost missed it but awning helped. Suggest more lighting[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] . Got seated quickly . Food is large portions , moderate price and had plenty for take home . The samosas were huge and my favorite. Server was friendly and knew the menu . 100% recommend this place .

Legit four stars. The tomato base for the chicken tikka masala was really good. That's its open late is also a bonus. Friendly staff. Glad I stepped in.

Definitely a hidden gem in Davis! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is dim inside and there are tables and booths to sit in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food and drinks were good, definitely recommend getting the mango lassi, spicy chicken tikka masala, assorted bread basket, and vegetable samosas! The service is friendly and always attentive.

Music is bumping, food is bumping, and portions are bumping up my tummy. Come ready to be full of a beautiful and complex blend of indian spices, perfectly charred meat, and fluffy rice. Its like beyond seasoning, it reminds us how Indian cuisine is one of the highest forms of eating you can enjoy. That's my boyfriend waving his finger because he was happy he got the last chicken momo.

The food was delicious and portions were sizable! Would definitely recommend if you like Indian food!

I wanna really cry. My tandoori chicken was bloody raw on the inside and I ordered it from ubereats from Kathmandu Kitchen. It took so long to arrive and I was so hungry, and meat was uncooked inside. I feel like I'm about to get food poisoning and my stomach is twisting. Never again.

I was initially off put by the location and lack of people inside the restaurant, but this hole in the wall spot deserves more recognition! The portions were huge and the sauces had a ton of flavor. NEPALI SAMOSAS: 4.5/5 The filling for these was delicious and seasoned with the right amount of spices! The green chutney was my favorite and added a surprisingly spicy yet fresh kick to the somosas. The pastry reminds me of empanadas, so I would definitely try the vegetable samosas next time I prefer flaky samosas. Nonetheless, these were still amazing. CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA PLATE W/ TRADITIONAL THALI: 3.75/5 This was perfect to share between 2 people, and we were left super stuffed. It came with basmati rice, 4 pieces of naan, raita (white yogurt sauce), cucumbers and spring mix, dal (mashed peas, carrots and potatoes), and the veggie curry of the day. The sauce of the tikka masala was rich and creamy. I do wish the tikka masala had a bit more flavor with the spices, as it tasted a little mild. I even added the green chutney into the dal, and it was delicious. I didn't quite care for the rice, raita, or the veggie curry of the day though. I also would've preferred the naan to be flakier, but it still tasted great.

Gross. Don't eat here. I was served raw chicken. I called the owner to let him know not because I wanted to complain, but because I wanted him to be aware so that it doesn't happen in the future he responded with. I don't care that the chicken is raw. I don't care what I served to the customers I have over 100 customers a day. I don't care what one person thinks. I ate a piece of it and my stomach is hurting now. I'm praying I don't get severely sick. The county has been notified after posting a picture on social media. The main comment people wanted me to do was report them so that's what I did. I also called my doctor and I have to watch my symptoms for the next 12 hours and hope I don't get severely sick from this.

I always go for the butter chicken, medium spicy, and it is so good. The flavor is rich, perfectly spiced, and just hits every time. I also get their garlic naan, which pairs perfectly with the sauce. I usually end up spending around 24 dollars when I add extra rice and garlic naan to the butter chicken, but honestly, it is so worth it. The portions are really generous. It is easily the size of two meals in one, so you can definitely save some for the next day. I have not tried any other Indian food spots in Davis, and to be honest, I do not really feel the need to because this place is just that good. Whether I get it to go or sit down with friends and family, the experience is always great. They are very quick with their service, and even when I order ahead, the food is still hot and ready to go when I pick it up. Overall, this is a spot I will keep going back to. Great food, great portions, and always consistent.

Normally get the Couple's Special dinner with meat. Includes a plate of appetizers and lamb curry and butter chicken, with rice and lentil soup, 1 order of naan, and 2 drinks. After trying it I had to come back with my wife to share that experience. It's a crispy and savory appetizer that comes with a tamarind and mint juice that when combined is an experience itself. Both refreshing and comforting - it tastes like a healthy snack that is also a close comparison to texture of potato chips. We also ordered two naan and we each got butter chicken. They were delicious, flavorful, and filling. To celebrate Father's Day we each got a dessert. The saffron ice cream was super unique, and was enjoyable. The pudding was very tasty and was our preference. The ice cream we both felt was refreshing and not overly sweet. Our service was wonderful - reservation and they called to confirm (about 5 minutes before) and had us seated immediately. Our waiter checked on us often without being too frequent, a good balance of support. Ambiance is intimate - smaller indoor seating area of about 10 tables and you can see the staff the whole time. Clean and comfortable restaurant and great service. Highly recommend - and I'd recommend the naan, butter chicken, and pani puri (going to adventure out and try more when we come back again!)

All of our dishes were super fresh, full of flavor, and had a very good portion of meat. The entrees come by themselves but they are big enough to split with a second person. You definitely need to get a side or two of rice and an order of garlic naan (or two or three iykyk). The naan was my favorite item of the meal, so soft, pillowy, and chewy. Absolutely delicious. We were seated immediately, which I always appreciate. The space is pretty big with a modern feel, and there's plenty of parking out front (no circling the lot like a hawk -- love that). Even though they gave us the lunch menu, we went à la carte. Ordered: tandoori chicken, butter chicken, coconut shrimp, butter naan, and rice -- all medium spice where applicable. The tandoori chicken was tender and well seasoned -- no dry chicken nonsense here. The butter chicken was exactly what you want it to be: rich, creamy, tomato-forward, and comforting. But the one that caught me off guard a bit was the coconut shrimp -- creamy, slightly sweet, and a little more mild than "medium" heat, probably because of the coconut milk, but still really good. And listen... the butter naan? Fresh, warm, and absolutely necessary. Both the butter chicken and coconut shrimp were made for dipping. No shame in wiping those plates clean. Service was great. Staff was kind, checked in on us without hovering, and kept our water filled without us needing to flag anyone down. Overall -- easy, enjoyable lunch. Good food, good service, no complaints. I'd definitely come back.
