After purchasing flooring and install from Lowe's the installers refused the job because my floor was not level. After calling several flooring companies Len showed up on time and assessed the situation and told me he could level the floor and install no problem. He also had a presentation about his company and had examples of previous work. Very professional. I live in another State so everything had to be done remotely. We were excited to utilize a local company to have the carpet replaced in our new home. Len came over for a consultation next day which gave us hope about the quality of the service. He cut the price to match a competitor quote by having us move our own furniture and not taking the old carpet waste away. We agreed to contract Karpet Mart if they could do the project in 5 business days. He said he would do his best but it depended on the availability of installers, etc. which was understandable. 10 days later I called to get it set up as I hadn't heard any updates. We got it scheduled for the next day, afternoon. My husband and I took the day off for the install so that we could be there to move furniture, and keep our pets and toddler out of the way. Later afternoon rolls around he hadn't heard anything from Len or the installer. I call Len and he said he'd give the installer a call. The installer calls me at the end of the day and tells me they can't do the job until tomorrow when we were unavailable. We re-scheduled for the next day and made a deal with Len that the installer would take the old carpet away because of the inconvenience. Installer comes, installs the carpet. It took a little longer than he stated but that's okay....They say they're done so we come to take a look and they literally didn't clean up any of the loose fibers, didn't secure any of the edging well, and left staples everywhere on the carpet. Additionally they state they can't take the old carpet because they have another job after this. We give in since it's been such a mess but try to call Len to see if there's anything else we could do before we pay the installer the full amount. The installer says we have to pay him and can't wait until talking to Len so we pay and then Len calls us back after they leave. I let him know about the poor clean up, not securing the edges, not taking the old carpet - Len says if it's an issue with the install the installers will have to come back and offers us $75 for the inconvenience (for a $2350 job). I called him back and left him a voicemail stating that was fine since there didn't seem to be much else he was willing to do. Never got a call back and never received the measly $75 check. After significant clean up and secure the edging the carpet seems fine but I do hope it holds up after the nightmare. Both design consultant and installer have very poor communication and point fingers without taking responsibility. Unfortunately not worth it to support this small business over one of the big companies that were the same price. read more

We began bidding our project in months in advance, with the goal of the installation happening at a convenient time, where mistakes/delays would not be a major problem. When it came time for the installation, they did not show up, with no explanation or notification until I called them later in the day. We rescheduled and the same thing happened again. Finally, we rescheduled once more and they showed up for the job. Unfortunately, they were not prepared--not only were there delays (which we were not alerted to until it was too late to pause the project until a later time), but they had not ordered enough materials to complete the job anyway. It seemed like there was little or no communication between the owner (who I'd planned the project with) and the installer and it was clear that they did not have a very functional working relationship. Once problems began to come up, the owner was very difficult to get ahold of and would not answer any calls from the installer. Once the project was finished, they had to come back two days later to fix a mistake. Other than that, the room looked good once complete, but the process included rearranging my schedule multiple times to give them access to our building, and having demonstrative impacts on our business when we were forced to not use the space. *** After posting my review the company attempted to remove it by harassing our office staff, reporting to my direct supervisor, and bribery. I do not recommend this company, nor do I recommend relying on whatever reviews remain. read more

Will never recommend these people to do anything. They harassed me while I was shopping for carpet, even when I said I just wanted a quote and to look around for whats out there. And as soon as they got my down payment they disappeared. Had to constantly call to get an answer to any of my questions, even when I had promises to get a call back on a certain day I wouldn't hear ANYTHING from them. My Sales person whose name is Len was sleazy, like there was a film of grease around him that just oozed off. He literally would have said anything to get the sale. He scheduled the carpeting to be installed without talking to me first. He pushed back the scheduled installation to start at noon, lastly the guys finally showed up at 2. I had taken a day off of work to take care of this. The guys who installed it did a fantastic job, but they aren't associated with this company. When it came to removing the carpeting (Like Len had promised me) They said it wasn't on the invoice. Low and behold it wasn't. But it was on the quote that Len had given me. When I called him about it, Len says to me, "They removed it from your house, there is nothing on there that says they'll haul it away." I'm currently staring at 9 rolls of carpeting sitting in my driveway with no idea how to take care of it. Thanks Karpetmart for being a terrible business and terrible people. read more

We had a great experience with Len and his wood floor installer, Tim. Len came out to our house following all COVID precautions, then gave us great advice; we had to install new flooring adjacent to flooring original in our 1967 house. You cannot tell the floors were not installed at the same time. We had to work on a tight time line due to the rest of our kitchen remodel and had no issues. The floors look great! read more

The owner, Len, came out to our house right after I called for an estimate. My husband and I sat down with him and went over many options for carpeting. He was very professional and seemed honest and straightforward. A very nice guy. We set up a time for installation which had to be moved forward a week due to the installers schedule. But they arrived and finished the job in less than two days which is what he said it would take. They did a fantastic job and we are very pleased with the quality of the carpet and workmanship. These folks are honest, fair, and dedicated to the satisfaction of their customers. I started The Carpet Guys only 7 years ago and had no idea how to run a flooring business. He offered to come back with more samples if I didn't see something I liked however I easily found more then one option I liked in the materials he brought with him. He understands color and made recommendations on the type of product I would need for the use my floors get. He also accommodated my schedule for quotes and for installs. His workers are professional, clean up well after the job and they genuinely cared about how I felt about their quality of work. I had some carpet installed in 2017 and the quality of the fit was not great and the carpet didn't hold up well. Len at Karpetmart was able to offer a great deal on new carpet which made replacing the (fairly new) carpet an easy decision. I was told what day and time the fitter would arrive, they arrived on time, was extremely friendly and did a fantastic job. Len came to my home with carpet samples. I choose carpeting for a bedroom and a stairway. He promised to call in a week or two to set up installation. After three weeks I began to call him to set up an installation date. He kept promising a day he would call me with the date and time, but didn't follow through and I had to keep calling him. When his installation crew finally showed up, they were very unprofessional. After tearing out the old bedroom carpeting, they stated there was not enough of the new carpet. After a phone call, it was miraculously enough! The bedroom was finished in about two hours at which point they left for the day, leaving the bedroom covered with carpet scraps. Showed up late the next day to finish the stairway. They left an area near the wall with no carpet and got the landing area pattern off center. One or more of them used my private bathroom without asking me. I expressed my concerns to Len and got absolutely no response from him. Don't use this company! read more

Excuses and poor/no communication. Don't trust this company with your money. Len the President is a liar and a horrible communicator. The people he hires told me multiple times through this experience that they know he is a bad communicator and they tried to steal the job from him on the side. His company installed carpet. They were late and the installer was more interested in talking than doing the work. For the linoleum floor they were given a deadline and failed to communicate about any issues within a timely manner. When the installer finally came for the install he said that the subfloor needed work. We could have fixed the problem right then and there but he left and did not tell me what the issue was for 48 hours. That is when i began asking for my money back. Len tried to sell me again by splitting the cost of the work he said needed to be done. This was 3 weeks past his deadline and i got another installer to do the job within 40 hours. I priced out the materials and saw it cost between 3-400 from other retailers. Len insisted the material cost 700. So for doing no work he pocketed 300 on this job. Lens dad came out and gave us a quote told us that he would pull the stove and move washer and Dryer out and pull toilet , So I wrote them a check for 650.00 for Materials Len came out two days later and told us his Dad had measured wrong and he would still stick to the price his dad quoted We made the mistake of going thru his Credit company and ended up paying for the job in advance as the check was made out to Karpet and Flooring Mart. A month later The workers showed up a man his wife and a 7 year old child very unprofessional every corner is cut wrong, the job looks like shit. Lens came out and assured me it would be straightened out that was two months ago. we have 5 boxes of extra tile enough to do a 8x10 room!!!
