My biggest pet peeve is when people (maintenance, plumbers, etc.) put on booties, then go outside to get something and come back in with the same pair, or reuse booties they used at other homes. This place carries a wide variety of designers, but what brought me here is the Herman Miller and Knoll furniture that is hard to come by around here in this area. I was greeted by a woman behind a desk and was helped with what I was looking for, which happened to be the SAYL chair by Herman Miller. She was very friendly and helpful when it came to what my questions were. Its a very clean and beautifully stark showroom. If they had a kitchen there, I would set up shop there as my home, since its got nice tall ceilings and a long display area. If you are in the area and you are in need of modern and contemporary furniture, even the mid century modern classics.. then drop by and have your credit card ready. The store is full of eclectic and vibrant decor that will speak to the hearts of artists everywhere, ranging from clothing, to furniture, to toys and museum quality gifts. It has a variety of quirky finds that I've never seen before. The intention here is almost like a local gallery exalting each stunning piece of art, no matter how small. The pieces ranged from the very tiny porcelain dog, which was about the size of your thumb, to the very large bears, that were furry and taller than me. Colorful, diverse art dotted the walls and were displayed in all different living room themes for all different tastes and styles of home. This was a clever idea. You could picture the decor in your own home. "Buy local" is the intention here and deteriorating properties were bought up by the owner and given a stunning facelift to elevate the community. This was a closed down roller rink. There was also a cinema next door that turned to a gift shop and off beat eatery. The unique history of each is preserved in the original artifacts throughout. Being that this is art focused and unique, don't have the expectation of Walmart prices. Of course you're getting one-of-a-kind quality pieces that will make your heart sing when you see your selected art displayed proudly in your home. Leon & Lulu also will give you a discount for your birthday if you share that information. If you're in Ferndale, Clawson or Detroit, put this store on your must visit list.

If you're looking for something unique, funny, fun, or more of a traditional purchase then this place is for you. We were able to purchase some very cool gifts for friends and family that were tailored to their personality. The shop's staff was very friendly and helpful when we needed them and they were also pretty available when we needed someone even though they were a bit busy. As for the prices I would put them on par for a place that sells the selection that this place has. You can find some items that are cheaper (not cheaply made), and other items that are pretty high (saw a pillow for around $300 ). I will definitely be putting this place on my list of shops to go for the next time I need to shop for friends and family!

Hello, I just wanted…read moreto dispel some of the points in these reviews for anyone who has been dissuaded by the reviews on this site besmirching the name of this fine business. First and foremost: the sales team. These gentlemen were soft spoken, knowledgeable, and humble. It seems they genuinely wanted to see us meet our needs at our budget and nothing beyond what we were asking. They answered any and all questions *I* had, because honestly, I believe a business owner does deserve the benefit of the doubt to explain why someone of these reviews were there, and the claims they were making here and the experience my wife and I had there were completely incongruent with one another. The quality of the furniture was excellent, anything that has imperfections/damage/etc. were clearly marked and appropriately discounted, and they were very straightforward about their willingness to honor their warranties. We've driven by this place a hundred times and eventually stopped in out of curiosity, and were pleasantly surprised by what we found. Please, if you are weary of shopping because of the reviews, at least do them the service of visiting them in person and allow them to earn your trust, and maybe even your business.

When I ordered it it was a bit delayed in terms of delivery (as most things are these days) and during that time the price went down by a good percentage. I called their customer service to see if I could get a price adjustment and they were kind enough to assist and get me the discount. Score! Also, I assumed the items would be shipped but they were actually delivered by the West Elm/Pottery Barn/Williams Sonoma delivery team, and they brought the items and set them up for us. I thought I was going to spend my evening putting furniture together and breaking down boxes but all I had to do was arrange the pieces where they needed to go. Double score! The set is sturdy and great quality. The table is very heavy, as are the chairs and the bench. Our previous table was light weight and as such was beginning to fall apart after a few years. This piece, I think, is going to last us a very long time. And it's made from sustainable wood to boot. Triple score (for the environment!). I can't wait to have our first meal on the deck on this new beautiful set!

Far and away the worst customer experience I've ever had…read more I ordered my daughter a loft bed for her 10th birthday, and I paid for white glove delivery bringing the total to over $3,000. First the delivery crew was an hour late beyond the scheduled window. West Elm also didn't ship the hardware required for the delivery crew to assemble the bed. I was told that I'd get a call in 48-72 hours, so I waited. Of course, no one from West Elm ever contacted me, so I reached out for an update. I was told that I would have a response in 10-12 business days. Meanwhile, my daughter still doesn't have a bed (or her birthday present), and West Elm has left a pile of parts dangerously scattered across her room. I called and asked to speak to a supervisor, and I was kept on hold for over an hour before I was told there was nothing a supervisor could do to assist me. Then, they asked me (and I quote), "why don't I just go to a hardware store and buy what I need to put the bed together?" I would love nothing more than to never deal with this company again, and if they gave me assembly instructions then maybe I would go buy anything I could to put it together myself. I asked them to email me the hardware inventory list and they said they didn't have it. I realize that mistakes happen, and I was just looking for someone to help fix it. Instead, I was met with ineptitude, apathy, and rudeness. Do yourself a favor and buy from anywhere else.
