We purchased our own flooring materials to replace the old carpet in our basement, intending to do it ourselves. Time passed, things got busy, and now I'm pregnant and cannot help with the project so I opted to have it done for us, with hopes of it being finished before baby's born in a couple months. While giving an estimate, Dhimiter pointed out that we forgot to buy shoe molding and gave us a fair estimate that included labor and the molding. It seemed the best choice cost-wise out of our other estimates from other flooring companies. Scheduling was smooth, communication was good, and on the day of, all I had to do was show the 2 guys where all our flooring materials were (in our front hallway in stacked boxes) and they were good to go - very professional, polite, and willing to move some of our furniture and stuff around as they went. They worked fast and were about 70% done on the first day. They also were able to haul our old carpet materials away. I was eager to share my excitement with my husband about the progress that evening. The next morning, however, my husband discovered that they neglected the boxes of vapor barrier that were on top of the flooring boxes, intended for use in between the cement and LVT. Those boxes were unopened and set aside. To be fair, I did not specifically mention the barrier to Dhimiter before he started. However, this barrier became a big issue. I told my husband I would ask if it's possible at this point to go back and put the vapor barrier in, then re-snap the planks back into place. Dhimiter said it wasn't possible at this point because not only were they very far along in the process, but the planks would be damaged in the attempt to remove them. He also pointed out that the LVT flooring came in boxes that state they are waterproof so it wouldn't need a vapor barrier to prevent moisture/mold buildup. When I informed my husband of this, he was livid. He and Dhimiter argued on the phone for a while - a lot of back and forth, angry, heated discussion. Without going into too much detail there, I want to mention that Dhimiter offered options for us to consider that I thought were very reasonable in the meantime, given the circumstances. In the end, I chose to have them finish the rest of the basement floor without the vapor barrier. I think they did an excellent job with attention to detail in the moldings and a thorough cleanup throughout. Everything was finished that very day. Do I wish the vapor barrier was installed along with everything else? Yes, but it was technically my fault for not remembering to bring it up or point it out before work began. If we ever run into a problem with moisture in the future due to not having that barrier, Dhimiter did offer a good deal to redo our floors at that time. All in all, I am satisfied with the service of Professional Flooring. read more

Called Dimitre to get a quote for installing some flooring at a store. Demitre said he could come out the following week on Tuesday, which was yesterday between 8-9am. Tuesday didn't work out but Demitre came out today after 1pm instead. We had made the appointment for a visit to have Demitre measure the floors for us and get a quote for a tear-up of the old floor, the vinyl planks and install as well. Demitre was pleasant and in and out in about 15 minutes. Our quote for the tear up, vinyl and install was about $11,500, which was reasonably priced. Demitre measured our store space as 1,600 square feet, oddly enough all of the other quotes this and last week have been around 1,200 square feet. read more

We had our carpet replaced in our living/dining room and hallways by Dhimiter and his crew in mid December 2023. After looking at several types of flooring, we went with the LVP Everlife XL Cyrus. We have cats that can be very destructive with their claws (and they have other frequent mishaps, such as vomiting up their food because they eat too fast.) The LVP flooring is ultimately indestructible but more important it looks fantastic and it has no VOC's which was important to me. Dhimiter and his crew were able to finish the floor in one and a half days and have it done before the holidays. I could not be happier.
