Other places, don't have the attention, facilities, and in many ways, personalized attention we receive at the Rover Resort. The staff is amazing, they are customer oriented, respectful with their guests and owners and overall, you can see and feel their goodwill and commitment to ensure our pets have the best experience. Our puppies are now much older, and they are treated with love and care. As long as we are allowed to enjoy our puppies, we will have them stay at Rover Resort. This way, we can enjoy our vacation with peace of mind. They really are the best of the best.

From the moment we dropped him off, our mini Goldendoodle was buzzing with excitement, like he'd just been invited to the Met Gala of dog parks. The staff greeted him by name, and by mid-morning we were already getting photos of his goofy, smiling face mid-zoomie. Every update looked like a scene from a "dogs living their best lives" commercial -- sunshine, new friends, and that signature doodle grin that says I'm thriving, please don't come get me yet. The place is spotless, the vibe's upbeat, and the team clearly knows how to handle a mix of wild energy and cuddle breaks. When we picked him up, Wedge gave us the "I had fun, but I'm too tired to move" look -- the holy grail of dog parent satisfaction. If your pup needs play, care, and a full-blown serotonin boost, Digg is the spot.

I almost hate to leave this review... only because they're already so busy, and once everyone knows…read morehow wonderful they are, they'll be even busier! But they truly deserve it. We absolutely LOVE this place. We have two dogs (puppies) with completely different personalities. One came in very scared, nervous, and afraid of almost everything. Since going here, we have watched him slowly come out of his shell, become more confident, socialize with other dogs, and actually have FUN. Seeing that change in him has meant so much to us. Our other dog is the complete opposite--he is Mr. Social! The minute he realizes he's going to daycare, he runs to the door and can hardly contain himself. He absolutely loves being there. What I appreciate most is how attentive the staff is to each individual dog's personality. They don't just throw all the dogs together--they really seem to understand them, match them with dogs they'll do well with, and make sure they feel comfortable and happy. The people there are also incredibly kind, caring, and as flexible as they can possibly be, especially considering how popular and busy they are. And honestly, I completely understand why they're so popular--they're that good! I also LOVE that they offer extra enrichment activities to keep the dogs entertained, engaged, and stimulated instead of just having them run around all day. We plan to use them for over night so we wanted them in daycare to get use to the place ..we travel for work a lot and need overnight stays , and I feel so much better knowing my dogs are with people who genuinely care about them. I can't recommend them enough.

No one was at the desk and I stood for 15 minutes looking around. The son couldn't be bothered to pause scrolling on his phone and a lady was on the phone in a different office. When he finally brought our dog to us my 3 and 7 yr old kids had to point out that she had deep wounds on the top of her head. They let us walk out the door without saying anything at all. I brought our dog back in and they acknowledged saying they knew about it and that she wanted to play with a dog in the next run and was rubbing her head on the shared fence. It was known for a couple of days but I never received so much as a phone call nor did they relocate either dog, if that's even what actually happened. The placement of the wounds does not match up with what they claim. I took our dog to the vet and they agreed the wounds do not make sense with what they claimed. They had to shave the top of her head to prevent infection and the wounds are significant. Please do not trust your animals with this company. We are now out an extra $100+ for the vet and have had to cancel additional plans while she heals at home.

Every single time I tried to schedule a groom or boarding, there were issues. What should have been a simple process turned into a drawn-out, frustrating experience with poor communication and no clear answers. To make things worse, after multiple attempts to get something scheduled, they claimed they "didn't like my tone" and refused to allow me to make a reservation at all. I've never experienced anything like that. Instead of trying to resolve the situation or help a customer, they chose to shut the door completely. Customer service is where they completely fall apart. Responses are slow, often rude or dismissive, and there's zero sense of urgency or accountability. It genuinely feels like they don't value their customers. At this point, it's hard to tell if they even care about having customers at all, let alone new ones. Do yourself a favor and avoid 2nd Family Dog at all costs. There are plenty of other businesses out there that will treat you with respect and actually make the process easy.

This is by far our favorite! The other dog resort that might come close is a similar concept outside Louisville, KY. Small high quality care not big business with volume discounts. There's a place for hug volume and big discount but I don't think my dog's care is that place. Castle Creek has limited people hours which helps to keep the focus on caring for our dogs. I'm so grateful for that focus! Yes, I would like to pick up on Sunday but we just plan our trips around the posted hours of business. We do NOT view it as a fault of the business. We actually respect the fact that they give their employees family time on Sunday. We ask the hours of operation so we know how to plan our trips and dog pick ups . Utah, Dez, Dayshia and the tech team in the back truly care! When we drop off our dog, who has separation anxiety, she cuddles into their arms peacefully. When we pick her up, she is happy to see us but not stressed at all from her stay. It's so amazing that we can leave her without concern of her separation anxiety messing up her intestinal track. She comes home healthy and regular! She is on a strict diet and they clearly carefully adhere to it! One last quick note: our little dog loves the people of Castle Creek, when she sees her overnight bag, she starts to do a dance and runs to the back door to get in the car! We are super thankful for Castle Creek Pet Resort!!!!
