Visited with 2 hungry teens. Nice menu choices. Good sized portions. Great burgers, but their fish fry is amazing and salads are fresh.

Unfortunately we had a bad experience. - service was poor - almost felt like we were a nuisance being there by wait staff. Food was ok.

My party suggested we stick around for dinner too, which I wasn't going to object to. I wasn't surprised to hear that we'd have a 35-minute wait on a Saturday. The staff was very accommodating and offered an empty room upstairs to wait and pass the time with some games. We asked if we could order some cocktails, and luckily the answer was yes. We placed an order with the hostess, and she brought those upstairs. Later, when there was a Shirley Temple spill, staff was gracious and whipped up another drink right away. Hospitality deserves five stars alone. What else deserves five stars? The cocktails of course. I had two "hotties," which were perfect with the wintry weather...and smart thinking. Who really wants a cold drink in January? The menu is simple, and much of the food is locally-sourced (huzzah). I vegetarian-ized the Christmas Dinner pizza, and it needed the saltiness/fatiness of the sausage. Still, I'll give points for creativity. Four stars. I get destination vibes from this spot, and I know I'll need to return in the summer months for the most optimal experience...but I was overall impressed with my winter trip. Five stars for Iron Fish Distillery!

Consists of a distillery, restaurant and a small shop where you can try samples of whiskey, bourbon, vodka and gin distilled on the premisses, also have some cool merch. Distillery tour was alot of fun tried all kinds of liquors and tour guide was great and informative. Restaurant was a let down since we had 12 people party and 6 did the tour, the rest of the group had to arrive an hour earlier to secure a table, they would not book us a table for after the tour. That would of been convenient. Food it self was a hit and miss. Our server was great but the hostess was just rude and indifferent about the whole reservation situation.

We were told as we ordered that they only serve breakfast on Sundays. They took our beverage order quickly and brought the coffee and water equally as quickly. We ordered the Hungry Mans Breakfast (3 eggs, bacon sausage, hash browns and toast) and House Made Hash & Eggs (2 eggs, corned beef has and toast) (same as the past 2 years) - you just don't mess with perfection. We ordered eggs overeasy. They brought us a treat of a small cup of homemade strawberry jam for our thick cut fresh sourdough toast - this was a new addition this year (the jam) and we enjoyed it. Nothing is particularly greasy but everything is cooked to perfection. This is one of those places that just makes the quintessential breakfast (or breakfast for lunch). You will leave feel satisfied and happy. July 2023 Amazing find! Last year we stopped to get brunch as we were starving and there aren't many choices along this stretch of road. We would come here on a regular basis if we could. There are a lot of locals but they are equally as nice to out of towners. So this year on our drive, we remembered their food and made a point to stop for a late breakfast. In particular, we recalled their delicious corn beef hash and ordered it again! We ordered the Hungry Mans Breakfast (3 eggs, bacon sausage, hash browns and toast) and House Made Hash & Eggs (2 eggs, corned beef has and toast) (same as last year). We ordered eggs overeasy. You will leave feel satisfied and happy. Note: while they have picnic tables outside they do not serve food outside.

We choose Bud's because it opens at 7:00 am, has hot coffee and a diverse breakfast menu and is close to Interlochen State Park, where we are rustic camping. What a delightful surprise! This cafe is beautiful and so comfortable. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The photos capture the beauty. From overall decor to the details, it is a very welcoming environment. With seating indoor and outside, there is ample room to spread out and stay a while. These are qualities of a "gathering place" that set it aside from an average restaurant. The staff were friendly albeit laid back. Their speed of work took second place to friendliness. The menu has great looking options for entrees and snacks for all times of day. Prices are fair. We found the portion size of our skillet to be filling but on the small size compared to other places. Our veggie skillet was well cooked, had lots of veggies and was delicious. Coffee was fresh and tasty. We also had a pecan roll. Staff heated it and it was perfect. We plan to make this cafe our morning stop for the week. I don't think you will be disappointed if you also stop by.

Typically we'd start up a fire and get breakfast going at camp, but the toddlers didn't sleep well, nor did mom & dad, so we needed a life raft thrown our way. We ordered: French Toast + side of sausage Pattie's, Bud's Breakfast - Scrambled eggs, bacon & sourdough, and the Meat Skillet. French Toast: great cinnamon flavor, thick Texas toast, pancake syrup (would've loved pure maple) Sausage Patties: great flavor and texture! Bud's breakfast: my kids devoured! Bacon was perfectly cooked. Skillet: smaller portion than I was expecting, could've benefited from a sauce, but the ham + bacon + sausage was a lil crispy which I enjoyed. Thought the price was steep for the portion tho, maybe recommend serving with toast to make it fit the price better. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, would come back if in the area again.

What a great spot for some delicious food!…read more Service style: You order at the counter and they bring it to your table. Very fast service! I don't think we waited even 5 minutes for our food. We ordered two carne asada taco platters and pork tamale platter. The portions were generous, they did not scale back on the meat! We were very pleased with the amount of filling in both tamales and tacos. Rice and beans were also great. The red & green sauces/salsas were DELICIOUS. Red brought a lot of spice/heat, and the green brought a nice milder/medium heat. Both had excellent flavor. Chips and salsa were also very good. The atmosphere was very relaxed as well which is great for my toddlers. They loved the background music! We didn't get a picture of our food as we were just so stinking hungry, but I snatched a to go menu to share because I noticed yelp didn't have any of that info yet! In terms of options in the area, Mimi's is definitely a great choice. First and foremost, the food is prepared for scratch. You can taste the difference in sauces. Our entrees were piping hot (a bit of a wait as we came during a busy time; worth the wait). They were flavorful and well prepared. I am a chili relleno fan and am always reluctant to try them in new spots. This poblano filled with melted cheese was perfect. Just the right amount of gooiness, lightly crisp yet mostly soft pepper and a great sauce. The refried beans are clearly made in-house. Wonderful. My husband's quesadilla was bursting with flavor, yet it was also very greasy and the balance of flavors was not the best for our palette. Chorizo is difficult to work with as it is greasy. The staff were friendly, helpful and very attentive to the cleanliness of the dining room. We were also not big fans of the complimentary salsa and chips. Just Ok. We enjoyed the bright murals and room to spread out. Mini's must be a favorite for locals and a treat for guests. Do stop by.
