I had a good experience at Kara's Korner (Glendora). I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak ($14.99). It includes two eggs (selected scrambled), hash browns, and pancakes. The meal is affordable, filling, and satisfying. I left full. I arrived at Kara's Korner (Glendora) on Wednesday (around 7:25AM). Parking is convenient & easy since it's located at Glendora Village. There's plentiful public parking. Staff is busy, polite, and hardworking. It's packed with customers!! The location is a community hotspot. It took several minutes to be seated and checked upon; however, the food arrived quickly once ordered. My meal took seven minutes and 19 seconds. Fast! (Quick Note: When finished with your meal, Staff places a written paper bill. Then, customers must walk to the front counter with the slip to pay.) As mentioned, I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs ($14.99). The food arrived splattered and disheveled. Using my napkin, I was able to clean up the plate; however, the tableware appeared worn down with age. I liked the Chicken Fried Steak. Its country gravy came thick and lightly peppered. The patty is thick with a crisp crust and a soft middle; it's lightly seasoned. I especially liked the hash browns because they're successfully crisp and fresh; too many other diners fail at hash browns. Unfortunately, the scrambled eggs tasted rubbery, dry, and bland. These unpleasant eggs are worse than microwaved eggs from McDonalds. Fortunately, the pancakes are fluffy and clean. By itself, it's bland; however, the melted butter adds a rich, salty flavor. I avoided the syrup since it tasted watered down. On ambiance, Kara's Korner (Glendora) is charming and comfortable. The location is well-maintained despite its old furniture. It's very clean and festive. There's no music; however, the muted flat screen TV plays the news with English captions. There's also a gender neutral restroom in the back. The vibrant colors are attractive and eye-catching. There's also plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Overall, I had a good experience at Kara's Korner (Glendora). It's a beautiful hidden gem that's swarming with happy locals. The prices are very competitive; the food is prepared well; and the location is comfortable. If nearby, this is an easy recommendation. 4.7 out of 5

Popped in for breakfast with my brother on a Tuesday morning. Four strips of bacon, two eggs, toast, and the most delicious potatoes. Incredible service and some of the best coffee I've ever had. Really nothing much else to say. If you're looking for a great breakfast spot, this is a spot! Thank you to the wonderful staff for taking care of me and my brother.

Matzo-ball soup and homemade chips...can't go wrong!

This is a great family run restaurant that gives a lot to the community, especially to the Veterans. If you don't want to wait for a table, then arrive ahead of the meal hour, breakfast, lunch or dinner. For example, for dinner, I show up at 4pm. The lasagna is made on site and too much to eat there...you'll be taking half of it home. All the Deli sandwiches are excellent. I often get the Matzo-ball soup. They make there potato chips there, as well...hot and crunchy.

You know you've found a great eating place when you arrive for a weekday (Wednesday) lunch at around 11:30 and the place is packed. Kara's Korner is definitely such a place, and I'm a little embarrassed that I had never heard of this wonderful little deli/restaurant sooner. The menu is extensive with loads of choices for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but I stopped by for one of their deli sandwiches after seeing a recommendation for Kara's on a local Facebook page. I had a San Dimas speciality sandwich (rare roast beef, turkey, etc.), and it was HUGE and fantastic. My wife opted for a modest corned beef sandwich, which was also lean and tasty, as well. Despite both of us being stuffed (with portions of our sandwiches already boxed to-go), we couldn't resist splitting a slice of carrot cake, and it was the perfect capper to our awesome inaugural dining adventure. The restaurant dining area is small but neat - especially in light of the breakfast-through-lunch crowd traffic that appears to keep the tables occupied non-stop. There is also some outside seating available as an option. The servers are constantly on the move, but still manage to stop by to ensure drinks are refilled and everything is to your satisfaction. I'll definitely be back to sample more of their deli sandwiches. Whether craving something from the deli OR a full meal, there's something at Kara's for you, too.

What a delicious and affordable spot! Came for brunch around 10 am and didn't have to wait which is awesome for a brunch spot. The menu is extensive with many items on the menu but the first thing I noticed was everything was very reasonably priced. An average dish is about $9-$12 which is very much affordable now a days. I got these items. Chicken Soup with Matzo ball - Never heard of a Matzo ball but it was delicious. It's like some sort of carb and the chicken soup was good too. Good appetizer. (4.5/5) Kylie's Stuffed French Toast - They let you choose from many different fruits but we got strawberry and banana mix. Its delicious. Tons of whipped cream but packed with flavors. It's $8.99, very affordable. (4.5/5) Kara's Favorite Omelette - This was delicious. Great mix of ingredients and cooked well. Got it with hash browns and they were crispy delicious. Winner. (4.5/5) Biscuits and Gravy - A classic dish. I got half a portion which is really cool that they let you do that. For like $4, I enjoyed this as a side. (4/5) So it's not like the best tasting brunch I've had but for the price I absolutely loved what you got in terms of value and flavors. I spent a total of $34 for what I think is a good amount of food for two people. Service was very attentive and I loved that we didn't have to wait more than 1 minute to get seated. They also accept credit card if you're uncertain due to their older style of writing down your order. Would love to come back to try out more items on the menu. Parking - They have a lot in the back that is free.

Heard about this restaurant and decided to finally try it. Ambiance is vintage coffee shop. Decorated for Easter cutely. We're seated immediately in a small green booth. Service was fast and welcoming. We ordered and the tortilla soup came out very fast. It was very good. Then the spaghetti and Cobb salad came. Spaghetti was ok and the meatballs were good. The chicken Cobb salad was delicious. We will have to go back to try some more dishes. Their menu is extensive and they serve breakfast all day. I saw people ordering breakfast for dinner. It looked good. I'll definitely be back.

This is probably the best restaurant I've been to this year! The menu is packed with great homestyle foods that remind me of when I was a child. My wife says it's a Jewish Deli, but it's much more than that, looking at the Americana type menu and mid-western type of cuisine. I would come back for lunch and dinner, but be forewarned that it can get crowded during the day!

Okay the food here and the service is completely top-notch. I have actually brought a couple of friends from out of town here and they absolutely loved the food. One of my favorite aspects of the restaurant is there patio, where you can bring your dog and they even have a dog friendly menu for them. It is amazing

I was told no repeatedly on the turkey pastrami. -First the Turkey pastrami is too expensive it's an added $50 I said that's fine and he continued to persuade me to not get it -Second because now it's too much work to put on a sandwich because you know The Colossal is pretty big. (Seems like the works too much for them) So at the end of the day I went with the big corporate sandwich shop because I got my questions answered, they weren't rude, actually tried to upsell me instead of telling me no it's "too expensive" Lesson learned: teach your employees how to talk to customers. Thanks for the time and the so so service.

I had the 1/2 smoked/roasted chicken and my wife ordered the fish tacos. The chicken was perfectly cooked, the breast meat tender and juicy. The barbecue sauce they use is perfect for the dish. The beans were smoky and slightly spicy, a nice accompaniment for the chicken. My wife's fish tacos- white fish deep fried- was also very good. Almost a tempura type light batter and prep. Larios Market was recommended to me by a wonderful fellow Yelper. You know who you are. Thank you!…read more I wanted to get guacamole, salsa, and chips for a team potluck lunch. I got rave reviews on these items that they are super good at Larios so here I am to confirm. This market is located at the corner of Barranca Ave and Arrow Highway in Covina. It's actually a meat market, but they sell produce and other food/dry items plus hot foods. It's a very small place with maybe 3-4 tight aisles. I went straight to the refrigeration area. I saw lots of different salsas and a handful of guacamole. At first glance, the appearance of the guac did not look appealing to me. It looked brown and kind of watery at the top. I was hesitant to get them, but since they were recommended, I got 3 of them. Now looking back, I should have only gotten one just to try them. It was not that great IMHO. Maybe they were not made that day and have been hanging around for a day or so. However, the roasted red salsa was really really good... I would highly recommend this one. Pico de gallo was decent. Crab ceviche was just okay... too much of the V8 taste. I ended up buying 6 containers and spent over $50 on guac and salsa. Probably more than I need. I didn't bother with the chips as they look more on the oily side. Anyway, staff was nice and helpful. Check out was fast as it wasn't super busy at the time. Parking is limited. They do have a few tables and stools outside in front of the market for those who want to eat here after their food purchase. I'm not sure if I would come back for the guac, but I may come back for the roasted red salsa and possibly their tacos and burritos.
