Dr Pace has a warm disarming manor that immediately puts you at ease. She laughs with her patients easily, demonstrating her joy and humanity, that's often a rarity in medicine. She treats her patients holistically ~ body, mind & spirit ~ understanding that health isn't only a collection of symptoms but what is going on in your life as well that impacts a patient's health. She asks what is going on with my other issues as well knowing that my other medical problems impact her discipline as well. When I came to AZ and couldn't find anywhere to get labs drawn from my port as an outpatient, Dr Pace found me an outpatient site close to home that I could use and I am forever grateful. She is not only my doctor, she is my confident and friend. She is backed up by a friendly staff who are very fine at following up on appointments and making sure you have done everything needed for your visit (labs etc.) as well as set up TELEMED appointments. I have arrived to my senior year of an age of 77 and I wanted to be sure I could find a Neurologist very soon that would be able to determine if I was moving into the Alzheimer's disease, which is the most common cause of dementia. I did not want to delay in obtaining the knowledge of what I needed to do, for it seemed I had begun with memory loss and cognitive impairment, and I began to be frightened. I realize that earlier diagnosis and intervention methods are improving dramatically and treatment options and sources of support can improve quality of life. I went to my appointment, and I met Dr. Seif Eddeine. I found him to be a physician who provided the professional care one would require; he is very qualified with experience in evaluating memory problems. He truly listened to me as to what I felt was going on with my thoughts. He not only listened to what I had to say and made notes as I talked, he made me feel he cared. After our discussion he immediately created a thorough treatment plan, and he felt I needed to begin as soon as possible. He suggested a Blood test; Brain check; EEG; Sleep Therapy and Speech Therapy Evaluation, due to my short-term memory. He referred me to the providers he wanted me to visit for my treatment plan. It was left in my hands to visit the providers he recommended. I did not want to disregard the professional medical advice or delay in seeking it. My return for follow up of my test results were given to me before I departed. I recommend Dr. Self Eddeine to anyone looking for a Neurologist who is through.

After couple visits, I was referred to his PA Dr Moon. During one visit Dr Moon noticed I had signs of Parkinson, and sent me back to the MD. I was getting worst and did not want to wait 2 additional months, but front desk staff refused to change the date and seemingly did not inform the doctor; I felt front staff was taking decisions on their own. I have other problems that handicap me, and staff will not mail me copy of report insisting I pick up although I am unable to drive there and my email is not working. The office seems to not know about handicap laws. Not a major complaint but to advice on office staff. Doctors are only as good as reflected by staff.

She has been open…read moreand receptive to most of the discussions we've had, however I do believe her practice she works for (East Valley Diabetes and Endocrinology) is completely and utterly inept. She is excellent for my care of type 2 diabetes. I used to take Metformin and due to the absolute severe diarrhea it constantly gave me it made life difficult. Dr. Panday transferred me over to Mounjaro and it's been great ever since. I am less impressed with her TRT therapy, though I have to give a little leeway here as most docs are just not well informed on replacement therapy. I will add to this that I am not looking for super high levels. Untreated my test levels were at 205ng/dl, which are well below the ADA thresholds of 300ng/dl for replacement therapy being a recommendation and I did two separate tests in the morning fasted as designed. My gripes are that she is constantly trying to adjust my dosage, rather than just sticking with a dosage so my body is constantly just trying to keep up with the changes rather than finding a nice homestasis. Granted my free test is still slightly above reference range, but again free testosterone has about a 30 minute half life and fluctuates greatly and it's only minorly over whereas my total test levels are dropping into the 600's which is a bigger concern to me. As long as I feel good, my bp is controlled and hematocrit is within tolerance I should be fine to continue a stable dosage. Before her my primary was treating me and just kept my dosage at 120mg/week split into two doses (I still mourn every day my primary moved away). On top of that she requires that I see her every 3 months "due to a controlled substance" which is complete malarkey, the only truth is that you have to do refills every 3 months you can't auto-refill like other medications vs controlled substances. This is an absolute shameless tactic of a medical office to increase billing charges. So as a result I will be taking my test back to my primary at the same office or returning to a TRT clinic, ironic since they have absolutely zero qualms handing out a 200mg/wk dosage without any issues. So all in all she's pretty decent. Her practice just sucks.

To make matters worse, the lady at the front desk, far from showing any empathy or trying to find a solution, had a terrible attitude and just told me my insurance wasn't accepted there--something they couldn't even verify with certainty themselves. Their only "solution"? For me to go home and wait another two months for a new appointment. They did absolutely nothing to help. It is shameful to see what the medical system in this country has come to. Patient care and respect for people's time are alarmingly poor. No one should have to go through this kind of emotional drain when it comes to their health. I do not recommend this place at all; look for an option where they actually treat you like a human being. Quick tip: Just like in the Spanish version, adding the specific department or doctor's name at the very beginning can make the review even more effective. I hope you find a doctor's office that treats you with the professionalism you deserve!

I called today and they were closed (on a Friday), so I called the emergency answering service due to bright red blood (a LOT OF IT) and passing a blood clot in my urine a few hours later. I never received a phone call, text or otherwise. I'm scared and don't know what to do. Went to the ER for the same symptoms earlier this week and they gave me a few days worth of cipro, which hasn't changed a thing. I'm lost and just blown away that no one at Dr Akl's office could return my call.
