I got up and told him that we could reschedule to another time when he has time for me. He started to make excuses that he needed to go help he friend, so I told him, you have time for your friend but not your patience? So I said what kind of BS is that! By this point I had already lost my cool. So I asked him are we going to sit here and argue or are you going to explain to me what you are supposed to do as it is you job! Then he looked at me and said " you know what? This conversation is over" so I opened the door and started to walk out. He stop my wife and was telling her to follow up with my cardiologist. I soon discovered I have a condition called heart arrhythmia in addition to a slight heart murmur. Most cases of arrhythmia are harmless but some can cause serious symptoms and can be fatal. They call days in advance to remind me of my appointment and there is never the long dreaded waiting room times, I'm seen within minutes. After being able to be off my medication, minimal symptoms that are now few and far between, and the last few years of good test results I am happy to say that I do not have to return for next year's follow up and tests!
