I would like to start off this with a little back story of myself. I am only 20 years old and have dealt with chronic pelvic pain for about 4-5 years now and it has been a journey. I started having pain that progressivly got worse over time and eventually I had to seek help through pain management classes and painful uncomfortable physical therapy sessions that ended up not relieving but worsening my condition. After seeing numerous doctors one pointed out that my hips were not aligned. My right hip was way higher than the other, she explained that it was a long shot but the root of my pelvic pain might actually be my unaligned hips ( I did have the occasional lower back hip pain aswell. ) she suggested I see a chiropractor, at first I thought this was ridiculous and wouldn't work like so many other failed attempts at reliefe, but I was desperate and thought I'd give it a try. I was recommended to Dr. Klaplan through a friend of family. The condition I was in when I had first started seeing Dr. Kaplan was so bad that I couldn't even lay down properly and could hardly walk without having excruciating pain. My first office visit with Dr. Kaplan I had to lay down in the back room before my appointment because I was in so much pain, I hardly ever left the house unless it was for doctors appointments. I was in such awful condition my pelvis was literally about to drop because of how week the muscles and nerves were. I was visiting Dr. Kaplan 2 times a week sometimes 3, and to be completely honest for the first month I was not even sure if the adjustments were working, but I didnt give up hope and neither did Dr. Kaplan. About 2 months into treatment that's when I really noticed a difference. After going twice a week every week making sure to follow his instructions I was up and walking again only having pain right before my next visit instead of all the time. My pelvis no longer felt like it was going to drop. I finally Thanks to Dr. Kaplan I had my life back. When I first started as his patient I was in a horrible place physically and mentally, not only did he help me with my physical health but he always gave me words of encouragement when I told him how hopeless I felt, he never gave up on me as a patient and never tried to blame the fact that I felt like I wasnt getting better on me. He was sure eventually I would get better and if he didnt think so he wouldn't waste my time. He was right, I eventually did get better A LOT better. Though I was too sensitive with pain before to do any type of physical therapy almost 3 years later I am currently doing just that and am getting even better. I also still see Dr. Kaplan once a month ( no longer twice a week like before. ) Though I am still battling my pelvic pain without Dr. Kapland I wouldn't be in the place I am now, because of him I am able to live my life again he is truly an incredible Doctor and person. read more
