First Visit to the Chiropractor…read more I went in today for my very first visit, and I have to say--I'm genuinely impressed. From the beginning, he took his time to really understand everything that was bothering me. He ran a few tests and, surprisingly, found issues I hadn't even mentioned because I thought they were just "normal" daily discomforts--like muscle tension and pauses I'd gotten used to. Later, I casually mentioned my tennis elbow, and to my amazement, after just one session, I was able to throw toys for my dogs without that familiar sharp pain. Even my neck, which usually hurts with the slightest movement, felt dramatically better--no more excruciating pain. This was just after one visit. He's not only a great chiropractor, but also someone I'd consider a true doctor--knowledgeable, intuitive, and using both modern and time-tested techniques. I can't recommend him highly recommend him

Heard about "shock wave" using…read moreacoustic sound waves to increase blood flow, stimulate cell regeneration, and block pain signals. I'm a very skeptical person but I wanted to try a few things before going under the knife. Dr. Lyu used the Soft Wave with no result the first time, a small amount of short-lived relief the second time, and by the third visit, I was almost pain free! I still have limited range of motion, but I'm walking without a limp, which also means my back pain and sciatica are better too! I can go about 2 weeks before needing another treatment, but without the pain, I'm able to stretch and stregthen and I'm hopeful to increase my treatment intervals to 3 weeks. Dr. Lyu has also done chiropractic treatment on me for my neck position and it has helped. Try it out! I feel like a new person!

I have had a big knot in my left upper back due to being a heavy computer user for over 20 years…read more The problem worsened after a shoulder injury from snowboarding, which led me to try various treatments including physical therapy and acupuncture. These were generally focused on rolling out the muscles and applying heat to encourage blood flow. Ultimately, all these treatments ended up in the same place where they tell me there is not much else they can do besides self management. More recently, I developed minor hip and knee aches while doing squats, likely due to the combination of various past lifting injuries, a motorcycle accident, and the accumulated stress from my prolonged standing for 12+ hours a day, 7 days of the week, over the past 10 years. I tried my usual rehab exercises and stretches from my history of past lifting injuries but the ache persisted for a couple of months. My sister introduced me to Dr. Lyu, as he has successfully treated several of her pain issues over the years. Dr. Lyu listened carefully to my problem areas and asked me relevant questions. He started with basic rehab treatments such as Graston Technique (similar to Gua Sha) on my back and adjustments on my hip and knees. I was initially skeptical after the first couple of sessions since I felt no change, but the difference maker was his electrohydraulic shockwave therapy machine, SoftWave. It is a unique experience, not one without some discomfort, and I started off at a pretty high power level which reflects the severity of my chronic issues. The results have been astounding after just under 3 months of treatment. Most of my aches have significantly lessened and my knee ache has virtually become non-existent. Dr. Lyu's electrohydraulic shockwave therapy may be the solution to your chronic pain. However, it is important to communicate with him openly about what you feel during each session. He makes careful assessments and adjustments based on your feedback, which shows that he truly cares about improving every patient's overall health.

I have been struggling with debilitating back spasms for about 7 years and have seen so many…read morespecialists along the way. Neurosurgeons, orthopedists, physiatrists, chiropractors, physical therapists--I tried everything from acupuncture, yoga, pilates, PT and cryotherapy to cortisone injections, muscle relaxers and anti-inflammatories. Nothing stopped the spasms. When a spasm happened, it would completely knock me out. I couldn't move until it finally subsided, and I constantly worried about when the next one would happen. Then I was referred to Elite Chiropractic and Dr. Ho and what a difference it has made! I have now gone 6+ weeks without a single spasm, and I'm cycling again and taking long walks without constantly worrying about my back going out. Dr. Ho is incredible. He has an amazing understanding of where my muscles are holding tension and knows exactly where to work to release it. Is the treatment uncomfortable? Yes! But for me, it has been completely worth it. After years of thinking I might just have to live with these spasms forever, I'm finally feeling like I have my life back. I can't thank Dr. Ho enough. If you've been frustrated and are struggling with back spasms/pain, I highly recommend Elite Chiropractic and Dr. Ho. He has made a huge difference for me!

=== Miracle workers ===…read more I hurt my lower back and unlike the other times I hurt it, this time it wasn't getting better. Constant pain, difficulty walking, sitting, driving, it was starting to impact my mental health. Saw a physical therapist with no significant relief. Then a friend referred me to Elite. I've seen Dr. Lim three times and Dr. Ho once so far. + Flexible scheduling. They were able to get me in within a day. Don't be fooled by this availability -- they ARE really good. + They give you an exam AND initial treatment in the same day, both critical but I love that they give you some relief from Day 1. + Evaluation was super thorough. Lots of questions, watched me do daily activities, had me do some basic exercises with variations. + Treatment is painful. But EFFECTIVE. I walked out of that first treatment _absolutely_ pain-free -- literally felt like I was walking on clouds. This was the turning point in my pain -- after that treatment, it quickly and steadily got better. + Their attitude is not to keep you there for months -- they want to get you relief as quickly as possible, and they let you know this. + They spend time not just on treatment but on personalized exercises to increase strength and flexibility. At that first treatment, Dr. Lim taught me how to protect my core any time I'm transitioning positions, and I do that dozens of times each day and can feel the difference. Note: LOTS of professionals have tried to teach me how to protect my core - Dr. Lim is the first one to really demonstrate to me how to do it! + Competitive rates. They were more effective than the PT places I had been and more competitive rate-wise. + Plenty of parking in the lot. This place may not look like much from the outside (pretty standard strip mall), but what they do inside is amazing.

Each time, our usual vet prescribed two different drugs along with 21 days of strict crate rest. While this treatment worked twice, Sophie was miserable--sedated and unable to enjoy life. On her third episode, after a full month of crating, she still hadn't recovered. She was in constant pain and could barely move. We spent $1300 on acupuncture which didn't help. Our vet referred us to a pet neurologist, but the prognosis was grim. The recommended surgery would cost $20,000 with no guarantee of success--and I'd heard of dogs needing the procedure more than once. That's when we found Dr. Drew, and from the very first visit, his positive attitude gave us hope. Sophie showed noticeable improvement after just one adjustment! Over the course of 7 or 8 visits--with no more drugs--she continued to get better each time. Soon, she was walking, running, playing, chasing her ball, and loving life again. It has now been about three months since we last saw Dr. Drew, and Sophie is still doing great. We fully expect to return for occasional visits as needed, but the transformation has been incredible. We absolutely adore Dr. Drew and cannot recommend him enough!

I also have referred family and friends to him for different conditions and they have all been happy with him. He uses different techniques including laser therapy, an activator, interferential stimulation, ultrasound and massage, among others. Dr. Mouroux is very knowledgeable and takes the time to explain everything. I especially appreciated his relaxed, respectful approach--I never felt pressured into any treatment. I came in with lower back pain related to disc wear and nerve irritation that was waking me up at night. I chose a package that included stretching, electrical stimulation, red light therapy, and manual adjustments. Having researched and visited other chiropractors, I felt the price was reasonable. By the end, my back had improved enough for me to complete a strenuous hike, which was a meaningful result for me. To give an honest picture, I was also exercising, paying attention to nutrition, and taking warm baths to relax my back. I believe the treatments contributed to my improvement, although I can't say how much came from any one part of that routine. For me, this was a valuable part of managing my back pain, rather than a quick or permanent fix. I know that keeping my back feeling good will require continued effort on my part. With that realistic perspective, I'm very happy with the care I received and would recommend Dr. Mouroux's office to anyone looking for thoughtful, supportive chiropractic care.

My second baby was stuck in the exact same position that my first had been in, so I wanted to take action earlier than I had the first time around. Dr. Ho came highly recommended to help baby's positioning, and he did not disappoint. After ~5 appointments with a different prenatal chiropractor, Dr. Ho was able to encourage my baby to flip head down within 2 appointments. I continued seeing him for the rest of my pregnancy, and when I went in to be induced, my midwife noted that not only was my baby head down, but she was in the perfect position for birth. I was able to have a peaceful VBAC with no epidural, and I attribute much of that success to Dr. Ho. Not to mention, he is incredibly professional and friendly (and made my toddler feel at home when I brought him to every appointment). Cannot recommend highly enough!

I sit at a computer all day, go rock climbing on the weekends and get up to some other physical shenanigans during my free time, so I always have my share of aches and pains for her to work on. She will release some areas on my neck and back, but also goes on to check my wrist and shoulders or whatever else I've tweaked. I sprained my ankle the year before, and Kimia was able to adjust it to make sure it was aligned and healing well. She never tells me to back off what I'm doing, but helps me recover and take care of myself so I can keep doing what I love. Kimia is also approachable, knowledgeable and generally fun to chat with. We always have a nice visit in addition to my adjustments.
