I normally do not read other people's opinions, but I felt this review was unfair and did not present the full situation. I witnessed and heard the entire conversation because I was directly behind the customer in line, waiting while he spent a long time arguing over a small return charge. The customer was upset about being charged for an Amazon return through UPS, while the same return could have been free through Walmart or Whole Foods. The manager calmly tried several times to explain that the charge was related to Amazon's return policy, not the UPS store itself. Unfortunately, the customer was unwilling to listen, became very disrespectful, used inappropriate language, and left angrily. What surprised me most was seeing such a negative review afterward without including the full context. I have personally used this UPS store for years and have always received excellent, professional, and helpful service from the staff. It is disappointing to see them unfairly criticized.

I remember one time I came in, and one of my envelopes that contained some VERY SENSITIVE INFORMATION came up missing from my pick up request. Abe must have spent about 20 minutes looking up and down and around for my envelope. He ended up finding it in the similarly numbered box then mine, whomever put it away must have just jumbled the numbers around but I was SO RELIEVED that not only did he find it but he was so empathic even after. I had to ship some really heavy boxes here. Conflicting instructions were provided for what I had…read moreto do to get a receipt. Some employee gestured to drop the items off at the counter and I needed a receipt. Then for the receipt they told me to drag it over to a kiosk. Then drag the boxes back over to the counter. Doing this aggravated an old injury I had. This process is fine if one only needs one box shipped, not 5--what if I had to ship 15? If FedEx chooses to charge more than UPS and still unload labor onto the customers themselves then I'm only going to use it for international shipping from now on. The staff was fine otherwise, but if you can't give me a receipt at the counter like UPS does, then I'll use UPS. The layout at the Sand Canyon branch is better: the receipt kiosk is next to the dropoff counter.
