    Ahi tower

Amazing sushi! Great customer service. So sad that not very many customers were here. Although not everything on the menu was available for whatever reason, what we did have was so good. The ahi tower was fresh & a perfect start to my Mother's Day lunch. Will return!

Great food! Authentic Vietnamese food is hard to find in this area and price is reasonable.

Their lunch special comes with fried rice and soup and I got the hot and sour soup and the best one I had in a LONG TIME!! Even their sweet and sour sauce was good but u have to ask for it for your egg roll and the chili oil is upon request which I get it!!! Times are hard and everything isn't cheap so I wouldn't want people wasting it. My uncle got the won ton soup and he said it tastes fresh also!!! I got the schezuan chicken which was good too but if I had to pick I would have just got what my uncle got and that's the Mala delights!!! The jalapeños in it were cooked good and spicy and fresh which I love also!!! I hate undercooked jalapeños!!! They have Chinese food and Vietnamese food also but next time I'm gonna try another Malaysian dish maybe the chili crabs that I seen they look good too!!! The service was great they stayed on top of everything!!! Food came out fast and everything was hot!! Don't let the older building turn u away cause it's clean and u will miss out on good food and service!!!!

They also said anyone who doesn't try it is missing out... wish I would have gone with the Vietnamese dishes. Everything tasted fresh. The sauce for the orange chicken had little to no flavor. The cheese puffs were ok, I wouldn't order them again. The egg roll was a little better. Fresh, crunchy and good flavor. The dipping sauce, not so good. The shrimp were super over cooked. Barely had any flavor and the texture was very tough. Crunchy outside shell though. The dumplings were not the best and the dipping sauce also not good. Since my hotel is minutes away, I will come back for some pho and spring rolls

Drink: I ordered a large peach and mango fruit tea (no ice,…read more25% sweetness). The flavor itself could've been great, but the sweetness level was shockingly high, more like 100%. If it was made incorrectly, that's fine, but just offer to remake it. It's a $7 drink; the cost to fix it is minimal, and customers remember when you take the time to make something right. Because I requested no ice, the drink also wasn't filled to the top, which felt dismissive considering it was a full-priced order. Unfortunately I cannot drink super cold drinks or food. Seems silly to let a customer walk away with 2 oz shy of a full drink because you usually put ice Service: The staff member was polite when I walked in and even suggested one of their specialty drinks, which I appreciated. However, after I explained that I wanted a simple peach and mango tea and didn't want the specialty item that included strawberry and jellies, she continued to try to steer me toward her suggestion -- saying, "I think you'll like this better." I value recommendations, but once a customer has clearly declined, it's important to respect their preference. After receiving the drink, I realized how overly sweet it was and politely asked if it was truly 25%. I was told it might be because the boba had honey, but having visited hundreds of boba tea places, that alone wouldn't cause such a strong sweetness. I mentioned that I'm pregnant and watching my sugar intake, an opportunity to show care, yet there was no offer to adjust or remake it. When I politely set the drink down and left, there was no follow-up or acknowledgment. I didn't ask for a refund; I simply walked away. If keeping that one cup meant more than keeping a customer, that says something about priorities. Ambiance: Poppa Bear has a cozy café setup with Wi-Fi and a warm, casual vibe. When I visited, a few college students were working quietly on laptops. It's the kind of space that could easily become a community favorite. However, the experience felt like the team was more focused on avoiding loss than creating loyalty. In business, especially hospitality, a small margin for remakes or mistakes is simply part of good operations and it pays back tenfold in customer trust. Overall: Poppa Bear has real potential. The drinks and environment are inviting, but consistent service and responsiveness will determine its long-term success. A little attentiveness and flexibility go a long way in building loyal customers.

I thought the pho was very good, and this is very impressive coming from me as I have come to learn that I am very selective in my pho preferences. This was miles better than the pho at the other major Vietnamese restaurant in Temple. My friend who is picky with her pho tasted the broth and really liked it as well. I thought the flavour of the broth and noodles was delicious. I had mentally prepared myself to douse sauce on the noodles if I thought the flavour was too bland, but it turned out to be so good. I got the pho with beef meatball and lean brisket. My friend got two spring rolls and two egg rolls. She loved the spring rolls, especially the peanut sauce they came with. The sauce had such a rich flavour. The egg rolls, on the other hand, were a disappointment. One of them had vegetables, while the other looked odd and only had some kind of meat in it. My friend told me not to try it because she knew I wouldn't like it, but I felt it was necessary to give my honest opinion and more comprehensive review. It had meat that did not taste good and was very hard. It almost felt like they made it by mistake. Even though there was music playing, it felt so quiet in the restaurant. The ambience could be improved, but it was very clean and tidy. You can see that this is a family-owned business with kids' toys outside, which reminds me of the memes that say you know that means the food is going to be good when the owner's kid is in the restaurant. I hope they take their reviews into account because I really want their business to thrive! I will be recommending this place to my friends and will definitely return.

I love pho so I was excited when I saw a new place when I drove down 31 Street…read more My husband and I ordered on February 14th, the restaurant was empty and it took 25 minutes for us to receive 2 orders of pho and 1 order of spring rolls. The spring rolls had the taste and texture of spring rolls made 4 days prior, very stale and refrigerated. The pho was made with what tasted like unremarkable boxed beef broth and none of the included meats and vegetables were fresh. I've never had pho represented to me that was as tasteless and stale as what we were given that day. Much work is needed to improve and I have 2 other options here in Temple that give a better experience and taste.
