We ordered the edamame, yummy crunch roll, Cali monster roll, chicken fried rice and hamachi. The food was amazing and was made quickly. We went one Valentine's Day and honestly were surprised it wasn't busier. The ambiance was cozy. The lights, decor and furniture were elegant and nice. The food was surprisingly good. I wasn't expecting much as the local korean restaurant options have been a miss. I ordered the chicken fried rice and the yukejang. Im so glad the rice wasn't salty as a lot of places heavily season with MSG to get flavor bombs. The soup was really decent the spice level was on point and there was a good portion of beef in the soup. The service was just so/so not good or bad. I will say i would go back to try something different but whether or not it would be dine in or take out is questionable... I was sad they didn't offer chopsticks in take out and the sides were soooooo tiny the cucumber side was ok a bit salty and the pickled radish not my favorite option for korean side dishes. Ordered a pickup order from here for the first time. Two dinner sushi roll bento boxes with Spider roll and 911 roll. This was a great deal for how much food you get and everything was good except for the rice being a little bland. I was also disappointed it did not come with wasabi and soy sauce. Big miss this time around. We haven't been here for a few years but there's either a new owner or someone is seriously skimping on ingredients. Ordered sushi, galbi, beef, chicken, and pork bulgogi. Took it home, and a) sushi was warm, although this may have been because the container was on top of the others; b) very little ban chan, 2 ounces each of cucumber kimchi and onions and that's it; c) only tried the pork bulgogi so far, but the main flavor is hot griddle- no bulgogi flavor, and tastes like it was hurriedly cooked on a greasy griddle. If this keeps up, Seoul Garden may soon be relegated to the annals of history. I'd give it zero stars if possible. You need to up your game, SG. read more

This is my favorite sushi restaurant of all time. Every time I have eaten here the staff is quick, kind, and provides amazing service throughout my meal. The sushi is made fresh-to-order and they have a wide variety of options to choose from. With the meal they always provide complimentary miso and salad and both are delicious. I have tried almost every roll and they are all very tasty. The restaurant is super cute with some really pretty decor along the sushi bar and a pretty Japanese tree decoration too. The overall restaurant is always clean and friendly. If you want a great sushi experience at a more than reasonable price and fantastic service then you should come here. read more

Traveling through Temple looking for something good to eat and boy did we find it! This place is amazing. We got there about 5:15 and 30 minutes later the place was packed so we knew we chose well. The Mr Fuji roll was great & they lit it on fire right in front of us. The other roll is the Heart Attack. It was great too. The Udon noodles were so good. They were cooked perfectly and had great flavor. Service was good also. I think our server was rather new but she never left us needing anything. I was really excited to come and eat here I usually don't go out during the week and have dinner but decided to go for great things I've heard about the food. Unfortunately I didn't even want to finish my meal and I just left so upset . I witnessed the most disgusting unprofessional behavior. The sushi chef who possibly could have been the owner was screaming at my waitress in a restaurant full of patrons for absolutely no reason. She's just standing there being screamed at almost in tears. She went above and beyond to make our dining experience great because we let her know we had never been there before she was absolutely amazing and I felt so bad for her that she's being treated like that. Needless to say I will never go back. Employees should not be treated that way! read more

Just ok. Stopped on the way home from another appointment so first visit. Only people in the restaurant late afternoon but more people came in later but restaurant wasn't ever crowded. Waitress was very friendly and offered a complimentary salad and small cup of miso soup. Lettuce was floating in dressing and miso was just lukewarm broth. Neither were good. She also offered some Korean samples which were KimChee , breaded and deep fried bits of fish, zucchini and potato bits in a spicy sauce. Skip those too. Wanted the full experience so we said we would try these. Chose this place because of the extensive sushi choices advertised. Asked the waitress to have chef to make us 2 different sushi rolls that were spicy that we could share which didn't have shellfish. We tried asking him (@4 ft from us) but a fan nearby was too noisy. Not sure what the waitress told him. What we got was two small seaweed cones with heavily sauced spicy fish, rice and a couple pieces of slivered cucumbers. Waitress gave us dipping trays but no way to dip without everything falling out. Super awkward. I dumped it out on a plate after having most fall out. Obviously a communication issue..... Expecting 2 different sushi rolls that we could share. Entrees were just ok. Waitress recommended Teriyaki chicken which was a very thinly sliced grilled chicken breast with a bit of teriyaki glaze on top and a couple small broccoli florets, a couple green beans and a small piece of portobello mushroom and raw pieces of yam. No sauce on those. Flavorless. Side of rice. Other dish was a spicy pork dish Don Katu considered to be another best seller by the waitress. This one at least had some sauce and flavor albeit all spice. Rice on the side. Will continue looking for a go-to Asian place. read more

Small entrance, big space! Reminded us of similar places in the San Francisco area. Came here to satisfy a sushi craving, and left totally satisfied! Korean menu items, substantial sushi/sashimi menu, one of those places that you would have to make multiple visits to and work your way through the whole menu offerings. I had two different rolls, and two different nigiri sushi, all were very tasty and fresh. The spousal unit had Don Katsu (think Korean schnitzel), with rice and shredded cabbage as sides. Both items filled us up, without having to get a to go box. Friendly, efficient service, greeted and farewelled, coming in and out the door. Ehh it's ok, but definitely not as good as it used to be, unfortunately. You used to get more food for your money here, but the portions are dwindling and some of the execution was poor. Had the Kalbi Ribs - they are very thin and lacking meat. Tasted good but not getting money's worth with this dish. Bento Box - spicy chicken was good. But they went light on the fried rice. The Bulgogi tasted a bit greasy- will not get that again Shrimp Tempura was slightly greasy and the tempura dipping sauce is the same sauce as the the dumpling sauce - that's not authentic. It should be a lighter soy sauce blend with daikon added in - so you're not getting the real McCoy here. The real dipping sauce rocks and it does make a big difference. Overall for what we spent we felt the bill was a bit too high for the value we got. $34 not including tip for 2 apps and 1 Bento - and that's lunch we're talking. 25ish would of been more appropriate IMO. read more

Wouldn't recommend if wanting a good drink with your meal. Limited dessert options, wouldn't recommend if wanting a good dessert with the meal. It was pretty loud inside, mostly from the music and bar/sushi area at the back of the restaurant. Wouldn't really consider it intimate for this reason. We just psidb$170 dollars for 1 chicken bulgogi, 1 beef bulgogi, paid for 4 salads, two large soups, side of white rice, no drinks, 2 chickem teriyaki & rice, two chicken teriyaki with zuccihi (no rice). They added $10 for the zucchi instead of rice. The chicken is spnogy and obviuosly chickem with fillers? Not sure. What a rip off. The food was disgusting. We didn't even fibidh eating it. We started going to the old place (when judiot worked there) then he moved to this location. Now that he is gone- quality of the majority of food is terrible. Don't waste your money. I got immediately seated at the bar and had a front row seat at watching the chefs work...and shut up..omg, just in!!! As I was typing this, the sushi chef handed me a free salmon nigiri. BRB crying. So moved, so nice. I love the atmosphere at this place, very laid back, but cute. Everything that I had was SO tasty! The Ricky Bobby Roll... good God. So so good. The steamed dumplings were good, what you'd expect. And maybe I'm biased, but the nigiri was ASTONISHING. Very very friendly staff! I love this spot and wish it was in my hometown. I'd come all the time! Slightly pricy, but worth it in my opinion. I am not going to lie moving from a state that has a predominant Asian population to one that I feel doesn't I was sad when thinking if I would ever find a good Korean joint to go to in Texas, specifically in Temple. To my surprise, we found one and a good one at that. Seoul garden is a mixture of asian foods, with a specialty in Korean food. When I look at Korean food my favorite and go to in sundubu jjigae or even kimchi jjigae. This restaurant has both and it does not disappoint, because the use the "golden liquid" as their stock. It is always fresh and flavorful. When you are seated and order your food they bring out miso soup and a small salad with asian dressing on it. They will also give you banchan or side dishes that you can snack on or eat with your meal. At this location due to the demographic they will not give you kimchi or mung bean sprouts unless requested. My husband has tried: -Bibimbap -Kalbi -Bulgolgi We've collective tried: -Ahi Tower -Spider Roll -Wiseman Roll -Seoul Garden Roll All of the food tastes delicious, the sushi rolls that we've tried have all tasted good and are relatively a good size. The pricing on some things are high in my opinion but I will take what I can get since the location is relatively close and I don't have to drive to Austin. read more

Monkey brains didn't make us smarter. They made us hungrier! Among the variety that is becoming in Temple, Texas, we have a different kind of soul food - Seoul food. This was our family dinner night and our enjoyment included monkey brain appetizers. The name only makes you feel like a daring eater, but you can relax. No monkeys were harmed! It did serve its duty as an appetizer though. Bring on our Bibimbap! Try not to confuse that with Cindy Lauper's She Bop or Hansen's Mmmbop. Were there hunger enhancers in those monkey brains? They have the cool sushi boats, good sake and the staff is always VERY nice and pleasant. The older woman behind the bar is always so nice to us so we always sit at the bar.
