Probably won't support this flower shop. Stopped in seeing that the door was opened and wasn't greeted- only warned to not pet her dog (which I understand). Stood there for a solid minute then was finally told the shop wasn't open. Surely didn't feel welcomed in the slightly or a simple hey sorry we're not open would have been fine. read more

I happened to drive by this shop a few weeks ago and noted the name to look it up later. After I did, I was really impressed by their beautiful unique arrangements. I wanted to do something different for this anniversary :) I called the shop and spoke with Sandra who was very helpful and full of a lot of great info. I called a few days later to place my order and it was easy peasy. My wife received the most amazing bouquet in a beautiful box. Sadly, the next day one of the hydrangeas had already started to wilt. I reached out to Sandra and within a few hours they had a replacement bouquet delivered to my wife. The other awesome part was that they emailed me photos of both bouquets! I was talking with a client of mine during lunch and the conversation turned to gifts for his wife as his wife's birthday was the next day. I had visited the KAN Orchids Flowers website and the pictures of the flowers and orchids were beautiful. He was thrilled about the idea. After lunch, I wanted to do something special for my girlfriend. Early in the afternoon, I called from my car and worked with Colleen. She emailed pictures of the orchids to me and I ordered from the pictures. Kan and Colleen worked to get the delivery out the same afternoon. Colleen emailed me pictures of the finished product. It was delivered a few minutes later and I received a call from my girlfriend. She loved them! I think that the crew from Martha Stewart magazine/Whole Living should totally send out at a photo crew to capture the the clean elegance of this place that features the most healthy and artistic looking orchids ever! + the people -John and Kan were SO personable and nice! John gave me some vitamins for my existing home orchid plus a neatly typed up info sheet on how to EXACTLY care for the variety. Granted, it WAS sunny and that does seem to inordinately help the vibe of the Seattle people, but still, this place really has something. Full disclosure: I am a dude, and I do not "get" flowers. They all look the same to me. I live in SF and often have to resort to sending flowers to the females in my family in Seattle because lets be honest, I forget birthdays and major holidays and they are fast and good for last minute gift panics. So, I went to KAN's website after all the 5-star reviews and just picked out the flower box for my mom. Now, I've sent her flowers from 1-800-flowers, buckets in seattle, and other random shops and the response has always been a polite but unenthusiastic "oh, thanks! pretty." Enter KAN's mysterious flower box (which I have not seen myself, but that is not the point as I've already said I am no judge of flowers). Immediately after it is delivered, I get a call from my mom and aunt and they are going completely apeshit bananas over how pretty it is, with my aunt shouting something obscene in the background along the lines of "IT LOOKS LIKE A CAKE I WANT TO EAT IT." I coordinated with staff members during both names to try to get one of their incredibly cool bent metal orchid pots, and I absolutely love it. Sandra at Kan Orchids was a pleasure to work with for my wedding flowers. She stuck to our set budget and sent us photos of a mock centerpiece to ensure it was what we wanted. (She even let us ship vases directly to the store to save on that cost!) On the day of my wedding, Sandra arrived more than an hour early and stayed well beyond the call of duty to pin each boutonniere and place each corsage herself.
