The employees here are rude - even the owner. I have been here many times and get glares when I walk in, no hello or how can I help you. I received an arrangement and I liked it and decided to order from here for my grandma's birthday. Normally I do not spend this much on flowers but they were nice and I wanted her to have the same. I was charged $70 - I receive the flowers and they were already wilting, roses were dry, and the colors were awful. They put orange, yellow, red, pinks, purples, all together and gave me flowers I could have gotten down the street at the grocery store. I called right away but they were closed. I called the next morning 5/19 during their open hours and no one answered. I called 30+ times. I called building security to have them check and they were closed, with a sign saying closed until 5/28 or 5/31. I called again today, 6/4 and got a hold of the owner. I told her I called and left a vm and never heard back. She said she did not get my calls or vm and that she is there every day. Then why did you not answer and why was the shop closed with a sign saying you won't open til 5/28 or 5/31?? She ended the call by saying "I'll refund your money. Don't ever call me again." Just wow. She could have said I'm sorry I did not receive your vm and calls, I will refund your money. What a shame as a business in a corporate building who has such high praise for her business, claiming she strives to please her customers. She should know better than to fight back with customers after 32 years. I was not yelling at her, just said I tried many times to reach her and was not able to. I have never had a business owner speak to me this way. She was highly unprofessional and needs to apologize and make this right. I do not like posting less than 3 star reviews but this cannot go unnoticed. read more

Not happy at all. 1) Did not disclose their delivery fee when I placed my order. 2) Asked for one color of flower and they used another. 3) Used an overly fragrant filler of Lilac that overpowered the entire arrangement. 4) Arrangement was half dead within 24 hours. 5) No reply to email notifying them of these errors and issues. read more

Chases Downtown Florist has been my go-to florist for over a year and a half now. Whether I need something for general display, a special occasion, or sympathy flowers Tino and Deborah always know just what to do. I find it comforting I can go in and say "I screwed up I need something pretty and around $50" and they have something made up in a jiffy, or I can go in and take time explaining this elaborate idea of an arrangement I have in mind with specific flowers. Regardless the situation they are always responsive, listen, and deliver results. I know this establishment well, and know how expensive they can be. I received an arrangement this week that looked like a 4th grader put it together. The word a friend used to describe it was "flimsy". Almost every flower looked old, almost like they were from an arrangement that had been reused. I feel horrible for the sender because I know this pathetic, half dead, flimsy arrangement cost them a small fortune. read more

If you like spending an exorbitant amount of money on grocery store flowers this is the place for you. Not only did the arrangement look dreadful, the customer service was abhorrent. Debra (owner) was incredibly hostile on the phone and incredulous when told that the arrangement was less than desired. Chases has a very pretentious and up-scale front, but the product simply sucks. No $70 arrangement should have to be ameliorated with flowers from Trader Joe's(nothing against TJ flowers). Simply pathetic. Please avoid this place like the plague!! read more

Chases is the only florist shop in Seattle that I order flowers from! Hands down the attention to detail and the care that they put into customer service cannot be beat. Both Debra and Tino will know who you are within an order or two, and help make sure whatever you need gets taken care of. I use them for all my home events and to order flowers for my mother every year for her birthday. Last year I was busy and had forgotten to do anything for my mom and the day before I got a phone call from them as a reminder asking if I wanted to do the same annual order I have for years. Consistently beautiful arrangements and the most delightful staff. I am never disappointed by the flowers I receive from Chases - they are always fresh, colorful and full. My Mom has ordered from them over the phone a number of times (she lives in Oregon) and they always know just what to do from a simple conversation. Established downtown florist. "Distinctively unique" is one of their taglines, I believe. This is true. Especially the personalized service. "Chase" has been known to personally deliver that all important bouquet herself if necessary. She and Tino get to know their customers on a personal level and remember their color and flower preferences. Wouldn't order flowers anywhere else. read more

I work in the building so I will occasionally pop in to look at the beautiful seasonal decor. I stopped in the boutique today and received a phone call while I was browsing the store. The gal behind the counter, loudly asked if I needed help. I turned to her, while on my phone and shook my hand, smiled and mouthed "no, thank you". As note, no one greeted me or asked if I needed help before picking up a call on my cell phone. All of a sudden, the music's volume was turned up much louder than what it once was. Once I hung up, I politely asked if it was a problem to be on my phone while in the shop. She said it was extremely rude of me and she would "never" do that. I let her know a few things had caught my eye and I was planning to purchase them but I will not be returning to the boutique. I couldn't believe the poor customer service and response I had just received. It is a beautiful shop but no customer deserves to be treated in that manner. read more
