    Sex on the moon
    Joe G.

It is in a very cute building, being an old house that was remodeled to be a restaurant. We got a window seat and had the red curry. The sex on the moon sushi roll the chicken satay and they thick cut wheat noodles. All of the food was good. I've definitely had better sushi but their chicken satay was one of the best that I've had in a long time and their noodles were outstanding. The service was quick and good very kind all smiled and made us feel comfortable Our only issue was the menu was full of things that looked delicious and we didn't have enough appetite to try them all. We definitely will be back to try more.

cashew nut stir fry with chicken (dine in before they went to takeout only)

Kamrai has gone downhill since covid. The restaurant is still takeout only. When I dined here in person before, we liked sitting in the room with all the windows, it was like a solarium. Service was hit or miss, so you're not missing out on spectacular service since you can't dine in. Food is also totally hit or miss. I've had the green curry and cashew nut stir fry here which I liked. Everything else I've tried from dining in twice and getting takeout once, was absolutely not worth it. The kani salad was watery and lacked flavor, and the majority of the dish is shredded carrots. For an $11 price tag, I was expecting a larger portion or something fantastic, but I was let down. The spider roll was $15 and tasted like deep fried crab shell- not crab meat at all, and the avocado was brown. The tofu pad thai is the worst thai food I've ever had! It was dry and oily at the same time and had a very strong sesame oil flavor. The dish was basically all noodles and there were very little veggies mixed in. I much prefer their sister restaurant Maxx ramen! I won't be back at Kamrai.

Came in for some takeout and ordered the extra spicy red curry and Thai iced tea. Super fast and the staff is always kind. Definitely recommend trying the curry.

What a unique gem in the middle of this neighborhood. This place sort of looks like a bed-and-breakfast or a residential home, but don't be fooled. Inside is some excellent food. As the previous Yelp reviews can attest, this place is excellent. Service is quick, efficient & accurate. Atmosphere is very nice with a hint of romanticism. Everything I ordered he was excellent. The wonton soup had fresh crisp vegetables inside of it and had a lot of flavor. The tuna scallion roll & "The beauty & the beast" roll were also excellent. Big portions compared to other sushi places. This place was packed and I can see why. They did not rush me and they had very attentive service.

Pad Thai - AKA dry bowl of noodles.

Had Kamrai take out. Food was ready quickly and when it was supposed to be. Pick up was easy. Staff was very pleasant and competent. Pineapple stir fry was very flavorful. Interesting spices, good moisture level. Pad Thai was a big dish of noodles with little else. Hardly any sauce. Very get bean sprouts, a couple of bits of green onion and a table spoon of chopped peanuts. Very disappointing. It had almost no flavor.

    1. Chicken satay: it was ok, lite app. Peanut sauce should've been less sweet, chicken skewers are think with the meat. 2. Panang curry with shrimp: delicious and delicious with proper spice and sweet flavors. You can get it with any meat. Next time I'd get it with the lobster. 3. Tempura cheesecake: was fine, the tempura batter fried on outside with the cheesecake was really good, but because they fried it frozen, the inside was hard. But I ate the whole outside! Want to go back for the sushi and other dishes... and the donuts dessert!

Aoy Thai Restaurant - Amazing fried rice

I love Thai food and am very picky. Do yourself a favor and go to this restaurant…read more Food: I was with a group of 7 and we tried different dishes. Chicken Laab/ Larb: Sooooo goood!!!! Got it "spicy, like Thai" and it's the best larb I've had in a long long time. Do yourself a favor and get it. Khao Soy: Very rich, almost massaman-like base. Worth getting again. The orderer got medium spice instead of high spice and regretted it. Pork Pad Thai: wonderful. Make sure to squeeze the lime and spread the crunchy peanuts. some of the best pad Thai I've had in a long time. Not too sweet (though it was a bit sweet- tasted like natural tamarind sweet, not a tablespoon of sugar sweet), and not too peanut buttery. The noodles were just right, not too greasy, not al dente and not gloopy. The orderer got mild and it tasted fine as it was. I added some powdered chilies for my tasting and loved it. Duck plate (forget the actual name): duck had a very crispy, flaky skin and the sauce it was in was good. The orderer wished they had ordered it with a bit more spice (they got medium spice) Fried rice: didn't try it. Looked like a Chinese style fried rice and the orderer seemed to have enjoyed it (but also seemed jealous of the other food on the table). The orderer got medium spice and wished she had gotten more. The dumplings and satay looked good too, but I didn't get to sample them. Service: the waiter warns you about the 10/10 spice level, relatively quick in getting out food, and attentive enough with water and needs (we ended up ordering more food and accidentally dropping silverware, etc). We ended up asking to bring out more spice and the orderer obliged with some dried and pestled chilies for our table to share. Ambiance: The inside of the restaurant is clean despite being in a run down looking strip mall with a dollar general and a takeout Chinese restaurant next door. The inside is sparsely and simply decorated with a picture of the old king, some basic tapestries you might buy at a tourist market in Thailand, some dolls, and some bright, flashy LEDs in one of the windows. Don't let this dissuade you. THE FOOD IS SO GOOD! 5/5 means it is worth the hour there and back drive to eat here. I will do it again and actively suggest to my friends to eat here if we are looking for a place to go. Summary: For Thai restaurants, I almost always try a curry/ soup, pad Thai/ pad se eew, and a larb/ Nam tok/ beef waterfall. This one nailed all three.

Still amazing food and excellent service. We got to eat here again while in town, and it was even…read morebetter than before. Got the same as before (panang curry & drunken noodles) plus a crispy tofu app with a delicious dipping sauce. Everything was super flavorful. Can't wait to go again!
