I have eaten here before and it was good. This time I ordered sweet and sour chicken with the jasmine rice, I thought it tasted a little OFF. Well, I barely made it into my home. I got SO sick, I was in the bathroom for hours. I had coffee for breakfast and I eat lunch at 1:00Pm at the Thai restaurant. Nothing else in my system!!! I never get sick from eating out, there was difinitely something bad in the food. I will never eat there again, something had to be spoiled. My husband eat his lunch, he ordered something totally different from mine, no problem, then he ordered take out chicken fried rice for his supper, since we eat so early. He opened the container for his supper, and the fried rice looked almost black, so dark brown it was burnt. The whole container went into the garbage can. Never again. Ate lunch at the Thai at Indiana. This was my first time eating authentic Thai food, so it was something new for me. It was super good. I got the Thai samosas as an appetizer and it was crispy and fresh. The curry fried rice was super amazing and flavorful too. I got it at a spice level of 3 and it had a pretty good kick to it, so I'm guessing if it had a higher spice level it would be too hot. The waiter was also the cook and he made the food fresh, and tasty with real ingredients. The restaraunt itself is pretty small, with only a couple of dining tables, so it's more of a takeout spot. But it's amazing, so if you're in Indiana try this and you won't regret it. read more

Very pleased with my pineapple fried rice with chicken and complementary soup. Ordered heat level 3 of 10 because I am a wienie. It was just right and warmed my insides. I didn't leave a single bite uneaten so I judge from that I must have enjoyed it thoroughly. Also, the soup was extremely flavorful and I could have eaten a lot more. This was a great venue choice having just come from the Jimmy Stewart museum, just a short jaunt away by foot. read more

Stopped by Thai at Indiana around 5 pm for dinner and was seated right away. To start, we had the crab rangoon and and tofu paradise appetizers. Both were decent but nothing too special. I really enjoyed my entree though, I got the Pad Satay Noodles with chicken. I loved the peanut sauce with these noodles! The portions are pretty big here for the price so the entree lasts me about 2 meals which is great. I would definitely come back again for the noodles! read more

This restaurant is such a hidden gem, it's seriously the most delicious restaurant I've been to in a long time. I had vegetables and tofu in peanut sauce which was literally one of the best dishes I ever had! my son had Thai chicken wings and he raved about the sauce. The server was attentive and we did not have to wait long for our food. I'm surprised the place isn't packed, they seem to do a lot of take-out but it was the best meal we had on our trip to Indiana, PA by far. I was home for the holidays visiting my family and we were craving something that wasn't Italian food but had some vegetarian options. I googled some options, and luckily, we found Thai at Indiana. I'm so glad we came in, because the food was DELICIOUS. I was so impressed by all the options on the menu, and it was hard to pick. We ordered: Tom Yum Soup (PERFECT), Spring Rolls and two Curry dishes: Curry Noodles and Pumpkin Curry and they were both excellent. The pumpkin was melt-in-your-mouth tender. yum! Tried the crab rangoon based on another review and it was heavenly. I could have just had a meal of those. We ordered pumpkin curry and the roast duck salad. Both were very good. We also had the pleasant surprise of a small bowl of some sort of broth with tofu, carrots and green onions, gratis! The menu seems to be quite varied for a small place. There is seating for about 22-24 people. There is free wifi, but you have to be a subscriber to Comcast or one of four other local cable companies. Best restaurant in Indiana! Whenever I am in town I make sure to stop here at least once. (Last week I went twice) I get the chicken or shrimp Pad Thai and I usually get a 4 or 5 on the spice level and it still has a little kick to it, I can't imagine what a 10 would be like. Very affordable and the position sizes are huge. I can never finish the whole meal In one sitting, which is fine because it makes the best leftovers! The food was very flavorful and the staff was attentive. The decor and ambiance was also impressive. The food came quickly but all ingredients tasted fresh. The portions were good and we had enough to take home after we ate our fill at the restaurant. The prices were decent... about what I would expect. This place is special. I'm from New York and I came to visit family in this small town, but got the experience of feeling like I was eating downtown Brooklyn on a Saturday night. Definitely a diamond in the rough. The parking situation could be a bit rough because it's on a Main Street, but luckily I went at night and it wasn't crowded. Second review of this place, and it's still stellar. I decided to do an update because of how good the food made me feel today after being almost deathly sick this past weekend. I had a horrible flu a few days ago, and haven't slept more than two hours per night since getting sick. I decided to stop in today for lunch and got the red curry (level 5), and wow.. it completely woke my body up. I feel fantastic, and I attribute it to the quality of their food, as I felt instantly better after finishing my meal, and totally did not expect to. So, if you're ever feeling like a giant pile of you know what because you're sick (or are just hungry), go get some of their curry at a relatively spicy level and you'll feel like a whole new person! read more

Check them out! This a tiny and seemingly family run Thai place. I loved the curry fried rice at a spicy level 3 and the hubby's pad thai was delish as well. My cousin had the Panang curry at a spicy level 3 and there was some kick to that and was pretty good as well. The only downside with what we ordered was the Thai tea, I am used to a much more robust (think sweeter and stronger!) tea, but the friends who ordered it liked it. He described it tasting a little like rubber. My rice was a little hard too. Flavor was good but we wished they used better cut of meat. Staff however was friendly and place was cozy. It took us a while to get around to trying Thai at Indiana but now that we've had about a half-dozen meals there (both takeout and dining in) I can definitely say that the place is fantastic. While I stuck to the pad thai at first because Thai food is newish to me I recently branched out and tried the Tom Yum soup with shrimp, the spicy green beans with shrimp as well as the stir-fried vegetables with shrimp (yeah, okay, I like shrimp, be nice, don't judge *grin*). I tend to like spicy food so I order everything about a 6 or a 7. Let me tell you though unless you're a major spice hound or grew up eating this stuff, anything above a 7 is probably going to blow your head clean off! The Tom Yum soup was delicious but man, I broke one heck of a sweat eating it (which makes me think it'd be even better than chicken noodle soup for a cold). The portions, especially of the stir fries, are really filling especially when paired with jasmine rice. Service has always been fantastic, both dining in and taking away and while the food is prepared fast it's always fresh - this stuff doesn't sit in a steam table and wait. The one, only ONE thing I've had from there that's been a bad experience was a packet of some kind of...I think it was a puffed-rice cracker? that came in the bag with our takeout. I figured it'd be something sweet, kind of like the fortune cookies that come with Chinese food. I WAS MISTAKEN. Not sure what it was, but it was DEFINITELY not an after-dinner sweet. Fortunately, I still had some spicy green beans left over to get the taste out of my mouth! So, the TL;DR version: Place is awesome, owners friendly, food delicious, great value for price, but watch out for the oblong cracker-thingies. read more

Great food and extremely nice staff. I had the chicken pad see ew, wonton soup, and crab rangoon. All of the dishes were seasoned nicely, super fresh, and tasted great! Thai food is one of my favorite cuisines and this place doesn't disappoint! I will definitely come back. Just one tip- if you're sensitive to spicy food, I would order the entrées at a level 1 or 2. This and India Grill are our favorite restaurants in Indiana. Portions are perfect, the people are nice, and the food is always excellent. I really enjoy their appetizer soups and he loves their Pad Thai and curries. We tend to go once a week, if we have time. I'm working my way through their extensive menu and so far like the Tom Yum soup, curry rice, and fried rice the best. You really must try this place out. read more
