My girlfriend and i went there for supper yesterday. As soon as we stepped up to the buffet my girlfriend said "something smells rotten" , it was the fried rice. It was rotten. I took my plate to the owner, she smelled it and took it off the buffet. A few minutes later she came back with a new tray of rice. It didnt look much fresher. It didnt smell as bad but still had the rotten smell to it. I suspect they added some of the rotten rice to the new batch instead of throwing it away. Most of the other food was dried out, clearly has been sitting there since lunch time. Ill NEVER go back there again. On top of the rotten food,This place is a filthy pigpen. Tables are sticky, salt and pepper shakers look like theyve never been cleaned. Theres a reason they leave the lights down low. Ill gladly drive to Indiana to get good Chinese. This year for Christmas Eve, I decided to switch it up and take the family to a nice sit down dinner instead of our usual night in with a Papa John's Double Cheeseburger Pizza, Scrabble, movies, charades, and Welch's sparkling grape juice. We were visiting my wife Anne's siblings, but they decided to stay home, which was fine with us! Sorry, Charlene! The food was EXCELLENT! All of the dishes were hot, our plates were cleared with rapid pace, the ambiance and lighting were very festive, and the Seafood Mayonnaise was the best I have ever eaten. The crab rangoons were flaky on the outside, and bursting with cream cheese and (what tasted to be) REAL crab meat on the inside. The Pepper Chicken was cooked thoroughly, and had just the right amount of "kick" to it. We topped this delightful cuisine off with a flavorful amount of vanilla bean ice cream. The scoop was in a newly set water bin, and the area was spotless. No sticky residue was present, and this elevated our ice-cream eating experience. We had mentioned in passing that Scarlett (my eldest daughter)'s nick-name was garbage disposal since we were at a buffet, and a concerned looking gentleman approached the table. He had asked how the food was, and with a very wide-eyed gaze, asked if Scarlett intended to consume more plates of food. We did not see a name tag or a uniform on the gentlemen, so he must have been a curious bystander from another table. It was unclear if they were joking or being serious, but we cannot dock a point for that, so worry not, Chinese Buffet! My family and I really enjoyed ourselves, and you were the talk of Christmas morning back at my sister-in-law Charlene's home. They told us they would be heading your way soon to enjoy as well! We were just passing through at lunchtime on a Sunday and found this to be a quick and easy option -- especially when trying to stick to low carb fare. The price was under $10 and the quality was very typical for Chinese buffets. The food was warm and fresh and the staff was very friendly. If you consider, for $9.95 each you are in the local diner / fast food level for a meal -- this place was superior to that. In other words, a bargain. I recommend it for a quick meal. I can imagine the lunch crowd during the week patronize this place a lot. My rating would be higher if there were a little more variety. read more

I work at a store near by and usually bring food but was in a rush and decided to give this place a go. I was promptly greated by a VERY nice lady. Sadly the food looked as if it was sitting all day. Labels were not correct on food, saw honey chicken but looked more like coconut or walnut chicken. Selected about 4 items and even that was streching it based on apearance. I've been past this place a few times since I moved to the area, and I finally decided to stop. This is based on the buffet. Let me start with that the place is clean (except for the ice cream scoop) and the lady working the door was friendly. At buffets, the ice cream scoop is a huge ick factor to me when they don't have it in the water like it should be.. As for the food, I grade it on three things, when they are available: crab rangoons, coconut chicken, walnut chicken and black pepper chicken. Ok, that's 4, lol. These are my favorites. The rangoons, the outside was overcooked, but I could actually taste crab/imitation crab in the filling. The walnut chicken (which I swear I could taste coconut) was perfect, but the sauce could have been a little thicker, but it still tasted good. The black pepper chicken was a huge disappointment. I can't even describe the taste of it, and there was so little pepper I couldn't taste it. I didn't even finish what I took, I just couldn't get past it. I also got the chow mei fun from the buffet, also another favorite of mine. The flavor was just horrible. It tasted like there was something in it that shouldn't have been in it. Fried rice was meh. I really wish I could give this a better rating since the staff was nice, but I can't, a nice staff isn't going to help if the food isn't great. Sorry to say, but I'm doubtful I'll be back. read more
