Never have had a bad meal here. I'm a local & have been eating from China King since 2006. Food has never changed, always has been delicious, and hot when grabbing my take out order. My go to is the sweet and sour chicken lunch meal, or the veggies and chicken. My husband got me hooked on the seafood delight dinner as well. So good, and so much food you can save it for leftovers! The staff is friendly. I'm not too sure if they offer indoor dine in anymore, due to the c o v i d. But they have take out and its always been quick! Always will recommend China King. read more

I have eaten American Chinese food from New York to San Francisco, this small restaurant has a chef that makes the very BEST General Tso's I've ever eaten! He toasts the peppers before adding the sweet and tangy sauce. The chicken is separated dark meat that is double fried giving it the ability to stay crispy even soaking in the delicious sauce. If You are adventurous then beside the counter is a menu that is in Chinese that has the most delicious food that they cook specifically for the Chinese students of the local university. This menu has authentic soups and curried foods that are never disappointing. The atmosphere is deceiving. Trying it the first time takes a leap of faith, that ends in Bliss. I always enjoy listening to the nice woman who takes your order turn to the cooks and yell the order in Chinese. I'll have to make this a regular stop. read more

I would not recommend this place at all. It is kind of dirty and the workers always have a bad attitude about things. Food was not good either it kinda tasted off. Portions are actually huge so if you're hungry this is a good place but not if you want to have a good time or eat yummy food or feel in a clean environment. First time ordering from here. My boyfriend ordered PLAIN chicken and broccoli for take out. When he looked at it in the car before driving it home it had brown sauce on it. When he went back in to say this isn't what I ordered, I want plain, they proceeded to say "no" haha and charge him to make another one. To minimize confusion he did so, drove home, only to find the chicken was RAW. He called to complain and they said it was cold because it had no sauce on it.... never again. I understand with Covid everything is more difficult, but the staff was also pretty rude. They gave me the completely wrong meal and when I brought it up, they laughed and were extremely rude. This place made the subpar education offered by IUP a lot more palatable. A large dinner for no more than $7 (granted, this was between 1999 and 2003) was great for my shoestring budget. I wouldn't recommend being too adventuresome in your menu choice--though the amazing chicken is amazing[ly similar to sesame chicken sans sesame seeds]--but this place is great. The pajama pant patterns sported by the cooks are a nice bonus. read more

The atmosphere isn't great. It looks like a place where you shouldn't eat, but ignore that! Probably the best Chinese food at IUP, and it's a great value. I strongly recommend the steamed dumplings and the General Tso's chicken. I can't tell you how many times I've ordered that from here! Terrible. No other word for it. Got General Tso's and spare ribs for take-out. Both were dry and the spare ribs were burnt. They looked like they had been sitting around all day. Same for the General. read more
