They said no. One strap is fine, two straps is bad. I asked if the 2nd strap makes it dangerous and they literally said yes. Insanely dumb application of a rule. I left feeling profiled because of my age and because I ride a motorcycle. I don't think there's any chance an older person with the same bag would have been treated the same way. If you're worried about theft, I get that -- follow me around if you'd like. But their bag "rules" are ludicrous. Went to Tractor Supply and bought a tarp there without any issue, with my bag on the whole time.

Update review: my grandparents dropped off a wooden screen that needed repaired about three weeks…read moreago. I've been hearing about this screen since then and today my grandma said that she needed to see if it was finished. I told her I'd go down to see if it was finished and get it for her. Walked in and was asked if we needed any help. Told the man we were there to pick up a screen. Some kid went in the back and said it wasn't finished. We asked when it would be finished because it had been here awhile, and we were told that the guy who does the screens only comes in on weekends (and he might be on vacation right now), and that he usually puts the aluminum screens in front of the wooden ones because wooden ones are such a pain. Okay, so what I'm hearing is that I clearly need to take it someplace else. We said we'd take the screen back and the man said he'd call the screen guy. After his call the man goes, "we'll there must be a lot of grandkids because a grandson was here yesterday and asked for the screen and we told him Saturday or Sunday." (Yesterday was Saturday, and today is Sunday. Also it's not your business how many grandkids my grandparents have?) He said he would give our grandparents a call today when it was finished. I can only pray that that'll actually happen. My point is: my grandparents will probably continue to shop here because they have for 30 years, but I won't be coming back. (The bird bath I was going to buy? Forget it.)

When choosing who should get your business, I hope that you seek to support local small businesses. The next criteria should be: do they care about you? Manchester Hardware does. Sitting next to two gas stations without bathrooms, there is almost no percentage in opening you own powder room sized facility to the public. Not only do they do that, they do it with a warm welcome and clean well stocked resources. It's like being allowed into someone's home. The staff seem knowledgeable atleast the ones I've worked with. It's true you can save big money at Menards, but I will say to be thorough with mailing in the rebates or else you aren't getting your full value.
