So was looking to get some paint and remembered seeing this store when exiting train station. It's really convenient to have this store so close. Instead of using big box store. Support local businesses! First purchase was paint for my bedroom. They have color samples right when you walk in door. And after you choose your preferred color card. Go to counter, there is usually a line. Counter guys are really knowledgeable and helpful. Just don't be an ass! Store is full of everything for your house and home. Anyway counter guy got the right tint base and mixed color into base. The paint they carry is Valspar. Haven't painted yet lol. Price for 1 gallon tinted was approx $55. Oh btw before purchasing I checked prices. And was reasonable compared to online costs. Online doesn't offer 100s of color choices. Recently needed some touch up paint for my parents home. And can was 31.5 oz at $20 with tinted base. Will be using this store for all my basic home needs. The store is open Monday to Saturday 7 AM to 5 PM.

Even if they had it nobody at Home Depot would bother to check. I called on the phone and the person who answered was very helpful and polite. I explained the part and he said he thought he had it. When I came to the store and showed the washer. He asked if I called on the telephone and I said yes. His name was Ray and it took him all of 1 minute and he came back with the correct washer. When I asked how much it was he said $1. I was a little embarrassed as I ran out of the house without any money so I asked if I could use my credit card. He smiled and said don't worry about it! That's so rare today and I said I will be back for other things and will give him the $1 as a matter of principle. It so happens I went to a bakery across the street that only took cash so I went to an ATM, made a withdrawal and stopped back to pay Ray. He also helped me with a kitchen cabinet hinge which I was surprised that they had. The store is large, carries a great selection of plumbing supplies, including, toilets, tile, faucets and just about everything you can think of. I read the one other review on the business and was surprised Richard gave them only 3 stars which may have been because of the news network they play. REALLY?? Everyone spoke perfect English, was welcoming, friendly and eager to help. The price look good and high would highly recommend them for your plumbing needs. I will definitely be back.

We talked about how the neighborhood used to be, similar memories, bars, parks, and so on. He shared stories about seeing John Travolta during the filming of Saturday night fever and he even witnessed the making of a scene in the French Connection, and how Gene Hackman, and Roy Schneider were so nice to the neighborhood kids, and so on. How they're both real human beings! And it's funny because people today are so pretentious. Especially, the majority of the actors and actresses of today. They're all so cold and out of touch with reality. They have zero moral fabric and it's disgusting! And unfortunately, they're a sad reflection of our society. Anyway, I'm glad we decided to go to shamrock paints because he made our paint buying experience all the more special! We had some work done by his crew when we moved to NY and it was fine. Maybe a bit pricey for what…read moreit was but the work was quality and done on time. That work would have been rated 3-4 stars and was done by his crew, I never actually met Saxon personally. As that work was fine, we came back to Saxon to get some more work done recently. I was extremely disappointed by Saxon's ability to stick to a schedule. 35 emails back and forth and 10 reschedules between Monday and Thursday of this week. The excuses were free flowing (delayed, sick, forgot I had to be in court, was in a bike accident). This significantly inconvenienced me for the entire week (Saxon has apologized for this). Regardless of whether it is all true, I personally am not interested in working with someone who had this many challenges sticking to a schedule to do the work.

I came to Building Depot on a weeknight around 6:37 and I wasn't sure if it was closed or not since the entrance was dimmed but there were two men by the door. When I asked, one of them said that it was, but asked what I was looking for. I showed him my two fixtures (an air plant holder and a floating cube), and I said I just wanted nails that fit the holes in the back. He hesitated for a second and then let me in. He initially said he only sold nails in 1 lb quantities, which I was fine with because I have a lot of stuff to hang, but then he asked if my wall was drywall. Huh? He explained that if my wall was drywall, I would need screws with an anchor to keep my nails stable. He showed me a pack that included nails, anchors, and a drill bit, which was perfect because I would've had a hard time matching the screws to the right drill bit. The total was less than $8 for a pack of 100 and now I have more than enough for any basic home improvement wall projects. It was super nice of him to help me out after hours - the main register was already closed, too. I really appreciated the time he took to make sure I was getting the right product for my project and explain everything to me even though it was late. Will definitely be back.
