great service and they have all the stuff you will ever need. enuff said. try them you wont be dissapointed

Cool place, nice and knowledgable crew! Gave us some extra boxes to help us move. Thanks!

What a wonderful neighborhood business. Every time I was stumped with a problem, I'd walk over to Greshlers and talk to the people behind the desk. It was the first time I remember seeing a woman behind the desk also. I had a problem with a stuck lock on my gate and instead of trying to sell us a metal clipper, that might not work, they offered to lend us a small cordless multi-metal cutter and safety glasses. It cut through the lock and we were able to open our gate and have our movers finish their job. It is wonderful to have a community minded shop so close to where I live. They have been in the South Slope for 100 year and I wish them another 100 yers there! read more

The staff are unbelievably friendly, efficient, and helpful. Best hardware store in the city, they will get you what you need and remember your face! read more

Here's a hardware store with knowledgeable staff, that will help everyone. I've been going there for years and as a woman I appreciate not having assumptions made about whether I know what I'm doing, but if I'm not sure they just merely tell me. Not patronizing. It's a huge store that's far better stocked than most local hardware stores. Women of Park Slope, Windsor Terrace, from wherever, ought to shop at this store! read more

This is the best hardware store in this part of Brooklyn. The staff is extra knowledgeable and helpful. There is very little wandering around in this store. You come up to the counter when it's your turn and they ask you what you need. Then they grab it for you and you pay for it. The system works. Often they invite to the back to choose your item. The result is a very streamlined and efficient buying experience. I never had a bad experience there after 10 years of going there. read more

Mike provided incredible service answering my questions to the tee, with a smile in his voice. Can't thank you enough Mike. PS: bought 4 u bolts on ebay from you. read more

Carried 3/4" pvc 90s that were a tough find in the area on Saturday. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

My had a wonderful experience with your Shipping & Returns department; specifically Jeff and Michael. I placed an order early in December and expected to receive it within a week or ten days. After a week had gone by I listened to a message on my phone advising my order had never been shipped or routed through your store accurately so you were re-ordering my hardware and this was a "heads-up" on the delay. That was great customer service right there. Just before Christmas, not only did i receive original order but the second one came as well. (Mix-up in the postal I believe), which prompted my call to Jeff and Mike. Trying to return the items was my plan but i was advised i could keep the extra rail. Thank you gentlemen for your great Customer Service- Happy 2018. Nancy Gazecki read more

This may be one of the best hardware stores in the five boroughs. I went to 10 of the "best" hardware stores in Manhattan and Brooklyn looking for a specific screw (12/24 machine screw with a slotted pan head). Not a single store had it, but I went to Greschler's and they had the exact screw I needed. I think I waited all of 30 seconds before the guy who was helping me came back with the two screws I needed. Unbelievable! I could have saved so much time by going to Greschler's first. After I made my purchase, I was talking to one of the guys behind the counter and they said that many stores who don't carry certain products have to order from them! Go figure! Greschler's is far out of my normal circuit, but definitely worth the haul. Plus they open at 7:00 AM which is super convenient for me. read more

I have been to Greschlers many times to special order fancy screws in brass. They are really nice. They have other stuff too, but as far as I know they are the only place to get the special things I need. read more

They sell on Amazon and I purchased through that platform. Product was inaccurately described, we had to return it, UPS damaged it, and Greschler's left me the hassle of dealing with UPS. read more

I called them to check if they had a 2 3/4" x 10" Door Plate Solid Brass. for my exterior front door. The sales man that answered the call informed me they had this item in stock. Moreover, I insisted that the item NOT be made in China. The sales man assured me the item was NOT made in China but in the USA. So I placed the order on line for a 2 3/4" x 10" Door Plate Solid Brass. The item I received by mail was a ESCUTCHEON 2 3/4" x 10" Door Plate Solid Brass Made in China! I will never buy again from these liars! read more

Greschlers is my go to local spot for most of my hardware needs. Everyone who works there is very knowledgeable. They have always been able to help me find what I was looking for in a matter of minutes and they always seem to have it in stock. read more

Amazing service. Support your local hardware store. It's stocked and filled with knowledgeable staff. They spend time helping and answering your questions. They also have a great yelp deal. Spend $15 for $30 credit. read more

Best hardware in South Slope. The guys are always eager and ready to assist you. And when you have a project in mind, they guide you on exactly what you need to get it done. They also have a large selection of Dickey's clothes. read more

Was looking for a single 3/8 inch magnetic socket for a 1/4 inch drive ratchet. Not the easiest item to find. But Greschler's had it! Picked it up through Walmart at a good price and they shipped it it in a relatively short time frame. Very happy with the hardware store and I will definitely keep them in mind for any future purchases. Thanks GH! read more

Great local mom-and-pop hardware store with awesome service! I needed some painting supplies and other hardware for my bathroom and the guys recommended exactly what I needed to get the job done. Very quick and friendly, much better than going to a chain store. Plus great prices! read more

Worst customer service I've ever seen from a hardware store. It's like they go out of their way to avoid and ignore their customers. Bizarre. read more

I just wanted to post about the wonderful gentleman who helped me two days in a row! I wish I had caught his name, but he was kind and so helpful. I thanked him in person, but, as someone who works in customer service, I wanted to go the extra mile to show my appreciation. He has white hair and a gold ring--thank you, sir! This place has EVERYTHING and it's a really great spot to grab cleaning products, too actually! read more

Wow. This place is spectacular and they have everything and the employees actually know something, unlike the employees at Lowes and Home Depot who are trucked in from Riker's Isl. and need to wear electronic ankle bracelets. read more

Best Customer Service hands down!! I call in my orders and they have it ready when my driver arrives, also if your not sure of the exact item you need, the workers are extremely patient. I rarely have to go anywhere else. This is 1st place I call when I need something and 10/10 if they do not have it, they can get it for me in record time. They are not just limited to Brooklyn. I get material for contracts as far as NJ & CT. My driver never waits for pickups. Out of the many vendors I have to deal with Greschlers' Hardware is a breath of fresh air. read more
